One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 220
In a certain sea area in the New World, the pink giant dragon, which was Vesa’s transformation, was swiftly dancing through the skies.
Meanwhile, Locke sat atop Vesa’s head, meditating with his eyes closed. “Blub blub blub,” the sound of a Den Den Mushi (a snail-based communication device), interrupted Lox’s meditation.
Locke picked up Den Den Mushi, and it was a call from Moria.
“Click.”
“Hehehe! Locke, my man, we’ve cornered that guy, Lede! Hahaha, hurry up and come; we’re at Grim Blue Island!” As soon as Locke answered the call, Moria’s laughter echoed from the Den Den Mushi.
“Oh, really? How many of you are there? Don’t let that old guy escape.” Hearing Moria’s words, Locke felt incredibly excited. After searching for so long, they had finally cornered that scoundrel.
“Hehehe, don’t worry, Locke boss. Jhin and Arida are currently engaging him in battle. You hurry over; I’m on my way too!”
“Ah, you guys hold him down for me, don’t let him escape!,” Locke said before abruptly ending the call on the Den Den Mushi.
“Vesa, change course. We’re not going to Grims anymore; take me to Grim Blue Island!”
“Ah, I understand!” In response to Locke’s command, Vesa replied warmly and changed course, heading rapidly towards Grim Blue Island.
At this moment, in the waters surrounding the Etwahl Sea, a massive island known as Grim Blue Island was the scene of an intense battle. Lockes crew members, Jhin, Moria, and Arida, were teaming up to fight against the notorious pirate Lede Fairfield.
Under the four combatants’ intense clashes, the massive island became a wasteland. Once-thriving cities were reduced to ruins, flames raged in every corner, and countless ordinary citizens lost their lives in the chaos.
The island was littered with bodies and crimson blood mixed with mud, creating a gruesome scene. The screams, roars, and cries for help dominated the island’s raucous soundtrack.
The gigantic island shook continuously as the earth cracked, and sword energy flew through the air.
Hurry up! If you don’t want to die, get on the ships and leave this place!” At the harbour, pirates were frantically evacuating the island’s residents.
“My father is still on the island, please, save him!”
“My child! Please!”
“Damn it! Get on my ship now, or I’ll take you down right here!” As more and more people gathered at the port, the situation grew increasingly chaotic. The pirates worked hard to maintain order and evacuate everyone.
At that moment, a man wearing a kimono with short black hair and two intersecting scars over his eyes slowly emerged from the crowd, holding a cane.
“Engaging in such a battle on the island without regard for the safety of the people, is this the legendary Red Baron, Lede Fairfield?” The man’s expression was incredibly grim as he gazed towards the distant battleground.
“Hey! Blind man! Get on the ship! Do you want to die?” A pirate noticed him as he was about to leave the crowd and head towards the battlefield. The pirate quickly ran over, scolding and urging him to board a ship and leave.
However, the blind man paid no heed to the pirate’s urging and continued moving slowly towards the battle’s centre.
“Damn it! Do you want to die? That area is where the officers are fighting Lede Fairfield. Do you, a blind man, want to go to your death?” The pirate rushed over, anxiously trying to stop the blind man from advancing.
“Boom!” Just as the pirates prepared to forcefully escort the blind man away, a massive explosion occurred.
Flames shot into the sky, smoke filled the air, and countless rocks were sent flying. A colossal boulder, with a diameter of over ten meters, was hurtling directly towards the crowd at the harbor.
“Ahhhhh!”
“No!”
“Help us!” As they watched the enormous rock descend, the people at the harbor let out terrified screams.
“Damn it! Everyone, clear out of the way! Anyone with guns or cannons, open fire and shatter it!”
The pirates responsible for evacuating the ordinary citizens watched the approaching boulder with menacing expressions as they fired their guns and cannons in an attempt to destroy it. However, their firepower proved to be inadequate.
As the stone was about to crash, the terrified pirates and civilians were shocked when the blind man raised his head, his eyes rolling back, and calmly drew his sword cane.
“Even pirates have a sense of benevolence, protecting ordinary citizens, is that your intention?” The blind man muttered under his breath.
“Buzz!” With a peculiar blue aura, the blind man swiftly swung his sword cane, and the boulder, which was descending rapidly, lost all its momentum and hung motionless in mid-air, just ten meters away from the people below.
Everyone stared in disbelief at the enormous rock suspended in mid-air, barely ten meters from them. Time seemed to stand still as they looked on in fear, astonishment, and shock, gazing at the boulder and the blind man wielding the sword cane.
“Oh!!!” Cheers erupted and echoed throughout the harbor.
“We’re saved! Thank you so much!”
“We’re incredibly grateful!” Relieved, all the people, both citizens and pirates, breathed sighs of relief.
“Quickly, everyone, get on the ships and leave this place!” Once they had regained their composure, the pirates thanked the blind man again before returning to their duties of evacuating the crowd.
The pirate who had confronted the blind man earlier swallowed nervously and slowly backed away, wanting to leave.
“Hey, pirate, why do you protect these ordinary people?” Just as the pirate was about to escape, the blind man suddenly asked.
“Well, this… it’s Captain Lox’s orders. All members of Locke’s Pirate Crew are prohibited from plundering or harming ordinary citizens.”
The pirate quickly replied and rushed to leave. He had no intention of facing the blind man again, especially after sensing the terrifying aura he had exuded earlier.
After hearing the pirate’s answer, the blind man furrowed his brow but didn’t stop the pirate from leaving.
“Locke, huh? He’s truly a peculiar pirate.” Muttering softly, the blind man decided not to take any further action. He boarded an evacuation ship to leave Grim Blue Island.
Not far from Grim Blue Island, in the sea area, several large pirate ships bearing the flag of Locke’s Pirate Crew were rapidly approaching the island.
These ships carried other prominent members of Locke’s crew, including the bookworm demon Enel, the devilish half-fishman Zazaki, Locke’s right-hand man Bobosa, and the devil sheriff Lafitte.
Upon receiving Moria’s information, they hastily assembled their forces from Grim’s Island and other islands to surround and eliminate Red Baron Lede Fairfield. Locke’s Pirate Crew had gathered nearly all their top-ranking members for this mission.
With such a formidable lineup, even Whitebeard’s or Roger’s pirate crews could go all out in battle. This time, their opponent was just Lede Fairfield.
A massive thunderstorm was swiftly moving towards the island ten miles away from Grim Blue Island. A pink giant dragon was faintly visible in the skies above the thunderstorm.
Locke, the captain of Locke’s Pirate Crew, and one of the Three Phantasms of the Sky Dragon, Vesa, were about to arrive at the battlefield.
