One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 221
“In a new world, Grayland Island, the battlefield center, the battle intensifies.
“Shadow Raid!”
“Shockwave!”
“Flame Emperor!”
“Deep Crimson!”
“Boom!”
Several attacks clashed, creating a massive explosion. A single strike pushed Moria, Airda, and Jin back while Lade swiftly retreated.
At this moment, he appeared somewhat chaotic. His once-proper attire had turned ragged and tattered during the battle, making him look like a beggar. His golden locks were also scorched black by Jin’s fiery attacks.
However, in contrast, Jin, Airda, and Moria looked quite worse for wear. Moria had a massive wound on his chest, with blood continuously flowing from it. His black suit was entirely torn apart, and his face was covered in blood. He was gasping heavily.
As for Airda, while he appeared unscathed on the outside, only he knew the true state of his body. As the first cyborg created with rapid regeneration, steel bones, and iron skin, his body was showing signs of strain.
The only one who seemed less battered was Lade. Although his helmet was destroyed, revealing white hair and brown skin, his demeanor did not reveal any weakness.
“Heh heh, you youngsters aren’t bad at all. You’ve actually managed to fight me to this extent. Impressive,” Lade said, smiling as he looked at Jin, Airda, and Moria.
As one of the great pirates, mentioned in the same breath as Roger, Whitebeard, and the Red Lion Pirates, he never expected the Rock Sea Pirates’ three executives to push him to this extent.
However, relying on his innate observation of Haki, which allowed him to perceive people’s intentions, Lade felt that dealing with these three would be quite straightforward.
“Hmph! Lade, don’t be too arrogant. Those who provoke the Rock Sea Pirates will not escape our pursuit unscathed,” Jin coldly retorted as the flames behind him intensified.
“Hee hee hee, it’s a tremendous honor to be able to battle with the legendary Red Baron, Lade Fairfield,” Moria took a deep breath and stood up, wielding his massive sword with a smile. Although his face was sinister with blood and tattered clothes, he appeared utterly formidable.
“Hey, enough with the small talk! Lade, I still can’t accept losing to you in our last battle,” Airda said.
“Well, in that case, let’s continue. I’ve also grown tired,” Lade replied. He immediately lifted his umbrella sword and charged at Jin, Airda, and Moria.
“Deep Crimson!”
“Buzz!”
A massive, deep crimson strike slashed horizontally toward Jin, Airda, and Moria as Lade swung his sword.
“Don’t underestimate us!” Moria shouted, swiftly bringing down his massive sword from his shoulder.
“Shadow Slash!”
“Boom!” A pitch-black shadow transformed into a powerful slash, obliterating Lade’s deep crimson strike. Moria took advantage of this and continued his assault on Lade.
“Ah, heh…” Lade chuckled softly as he raised his sword to block Moria’s immense blade.
“Shifting Shadows!”
Just as Lade’s sword was about to touch Moria, a triumphant smile appeared on Moria’s face. Suddenly, Moria vanished from Lade’s sight, only to reappear within Lade’s shadow. He swung his sword at Lade’s waist.
However, Lade seemed to have anticipated Moria’s move. He twirled his umbrella sword and swiftly arrived to parry Moria’s strike.
“What?!” Moria exclaimed, shocked.
“Heh, don’t be surprised. I know your thoughts quite well,” Lade chuckled. He disappeared from his original position and reappeared behind Moria with his umbrella sword aimed at Moria’s back.
“Deep Crimson!”
“Buzz!” A massive red strike pierced through Moria’s abdomen.
“Ah!” Moria cried out in pain, blood spewing from the wound. He was seriously injured and fell back.
Airda, alarmed by Moria’s condition, attempted to intervene, but Lade had already appeared beside him. Lade raised his foot and kicked Airda in the chest.
“Boom!” A tremendous force pierced through Airda’s body, creating ripples behind him. He spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying into the ruins.
“I’ve told you, I know your intentions quite well,” Lade said confidently. After easily dealing with Moria and Airda, he turned to Jin.
“Hey, Fire Kid, aren’t you going to join the fight?” Jin didn’t say much and remained as calm as water, slowly transforming into his half-beast form.
In no time, he had become a half-beast, charging fiercely at Lade. The burning flames created a column of fire in the air.
“Inferno Slash. Emperor!”
“Buzz!” His wings transformed into sharp flame swords, ferociously striking Lade.
“Heh heh heh, young one, even if you can relax your thoughts in advance, can you do so at the moment of the attack?” Lade leaped into the air, somersaulting, and his umbrella sword struck Jin’s back.
“Pfft!” Red blood splattered as Jin spat out blood, and the flames behind him momentarily subsided.
“Youngster, I know your weaknesses very well,” Lade chuckled. He vanished, reappearing beside Jin, and kicked him in the chest.
“Boom!” With great force, Jin spat out another mouthful of blood and was sent flying into the ruins. After successfully dealing with Moria and Airda, Lade’s entire figure disappeared from his original spot, his umbrella sword raised.
“Boom!”
“Damn!” It turned out that he had already detected Moria’s sword swing and made a preemptive move. Seeing his unexpected strike blocked, Moria roared in frustration.
“Shadow Magician!” As Moria yelled, his shadow suddenly detached from his body, taking the form of a tall, dark figure. This shadowy figure was similar in size to Moria, and it wielded a pitch-black longsword, which it swung mercilessly at Lade’s head.
“Oh? Can the Shadow Fruit be used like this? This is indeed troublesome,” Lade said, although he appeared unfazed. He effortlessly dodged Moria’s shadowy attack and countered with a massive, deep crimson slash.
“Deep Crimson!”
“Damn!”
“Inferno Slash. Emperor!” As the slashes were about to land, Jin suddenly appeared in front of Lade, with flames blazing behind him. His arm had transformed into a fiery sword, which he used to shatter Lade’s deep crimson attack.
“Boom!” The scattered sword energy created countless rifts in the already battle-worn landscape.
“Heh, heh, heh…” Amidst his heavy panting, Jin gazed at Lade, who appeared relatively unscathed despite the intense battle.
He couldn’t deny that Lade lived up to his reputation. There was still a considerable gap between Jin and the pinnacle figures of the seas.
“Heh heh, so you’re the great pirate mentioned in the same breath as Whitebeard and Roger, eh? It seems your strength is truly formidable,” Jin said, grinning.
“Ha ha ha, without such strength, how could one earn such a prestigious reputation?” Barbarossa declared as he raised his sword, slicing through the flames and emerging from the inferno with a big grin.
“Kakakaka! I’ve been lurking in the shadows for so many chapters; finally, a chance to reappear!” exclaimed Zazuki, his eyes filled with excitement as he approached the battlefield with his massive cleaver. He glared at Lade.
“Are you our enemy this time? Watch as I defeat you!” Lade, facing these three executives who suddenly appeared on the battlefield, shifted from a relaxed expression to a more serious one.
“Oh, dear. It’s another trio of executives. This is truly becoming challenging,” he remarked.
“Roar!!!” A mighty dragon’s roar echoed from the sky, and a massive pink dragon’s head broke through the clouds, looking down on the battlefield. Locke gestured in a poised manner from the dragon’s head, his gaze cold as he focused on Lade Fairfield below.
“Well, it seems we finally met, Lade.”
