One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 228
The New World, Grims, appeared exceptionally lively and tense today. After Locks announced the complete unification of the Atrevoir Sea to establish a new nation, Kaido and Charlotte Lingling led their respective crews and departed.
Having learned about Locks’ intentions and ambitions, they had already started planning their strategies. Following Kaido and Charlotte Lingling’s departure, the pirates under Locks’ command were consumed by euphoria.
There was nothing more exciting to them than the idea of establishing a pirate nation. This celebration lasted for three days and three nights.
Afterward, Locks disbanded the festivities and allowed a day of rest before gathering all his pirate captains and officers in the meeting hall.
The massive banquet hall was filled with people. Over fifty pirate captains under Locks’ command sat in their designated seats, eagerly awaiting Locks’ orders.
Locks, dressed in a black military uniform and cap, sat at the head of the room and looked at all his comrades below with a smile on his face.
“In the several years since the formation of Locks’ Pirate Crew, we’ve defeated the Gold Lion Pirate Crew, the Red Count Laidfield, battled Admirals Kuni and Capu, and triumphed over the World Government’s Extermination Order.”
Locks spoke with immense pride and confidence. “However, do we aim to be content with just the title of the strongest pirate crew? Of course not.
When Barret and I set sail for the first time, we had only one goal in mind – to reach the Empty Throne on the Holy Land of Mary Geoise.”
As Locks finished speaking, the entire meeting hall erupted in vibrant discussions. “Locks’ goal is the Empty Throne! That’s truly astonishing!”
“Of course, Locks, with his charisma, couldn’t be content with just the title of a Pirate King!”
“It’s true. Only the empty throne, symbolizing ultimate power, is worthy of Locks!”
“Opposing the World Government isn’t a bad idea either.”
“Haha, are we finally going to take on the World Government? I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time!” The pirate captains were excitedly discussing Locks’ ambitions, believing that, under his leadership, they could overcome any opponent.
Locks looked with satisfaction at the pirate captains below. “Believe me, my comrades, we are invincible. We will face no equal on this path we have chosen.” With these inspiring words, Locks sent the room into a frenzy of celebration.
“Long live Captain Locke!”
“I’m willing to give my life for you, Captain Locks!”
“Ha, we are unbeatable! Brothers, it’s time to follow Captain Locks and create a truly magnificent legacy!”
The pirate captains cheered for Locks, praised his leadership, and eagerly anticipated the future. They believed that with Locks as their captain, they could achieve a feat as grand as the one accomplished by the twenty kings who founded the World Government eight hundred years ago.
The enthusiastic cheers lasted for nearly two hours before the pirates began to calm down. Once all the pirates had settled, Locks spoke again.
“My friends, we have taken the first step toward our ambition. Now, we must develop and wait for our opportunity.”
“Is there anyone among you with a particular interest in a Devil Fruit ability? Feel free to seek it out or capture those who possess such abilities.”
“Well, there is one ability I truly desire, but the person who has it is in the city of propulsion.”
Locks knew that Barbossa desired the momo-momo fruit. “Don’t worry; I’ll find a way to deal with this,” Locks assured him.
“Now, we all need to focus on enhancing our abilities. Our success in ruling the world depends on how much we can improve. Let’s give it our all!”
Locks finished speaking and, with Ruth and Barret, left the meeting hall. “Ruling the world? Is it finally starting? Haha!” Barbossa couldn’t hide his excitement.
