One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 229
“Sea Origin Calendar, November 28, 1495.”
After declaring their intent to unify the Aetwol Sea and establish a new nation, Locke’s Pirates, after six months of warfare, finally gained complete control over all islands and nations in the Aetwol Sea.
This audacious move by Locke’s Pirates drew the attention of the entire world. In a remote part of the New World, the massive Moby Dick was sailing smoothly on the sea.
A man with long golden hair, a white captain’s hat, and a distinctive white crescent moon beard was drinking while reading a newspaper.
“Haha, truly remarkable. Locke, this young lad, has only been at sea for a few years, and now he’s called the world’s strongest pirate crew,” said Whitebeard, Edward Newgate, as he chuckled while reading the reports about Locke.
Inside, he felt both happy and regretful. He was pleased that the young lad who needed his help to survive back then had now grown into a force capable of influencing the world’s balance.
He regretted that Locke had not accepted his invitation to become his son. “La-la-la-la, lads, it’s time for a celebration!” Whitebeard decided to throw a party, his enthusiasm rising.
Although his sons had no idea why, nobody would turn down a chance for a party. However, in the midst of the Whitebeard Pirates’ revelry, a young man with a cowboy hat, dark skin, and a somewhat burly build picked up a newspaper from the ground.
“Locke? It seems it’s time to make a new choice!”
“Hey, Teach, it’s time to join the party; you need to help!” a voice called out from the crowd.
“Ah, I know,” Teach replied. While heading towards the crowd, he tucked the newspaper he had picked up under his arm.
In the crowd, Whitebeard seemed to notice Teach but quickly got lost in the festivity as his family continued celebrating.
In the vast sea, Roger’s Pirates were on their ship, Oro Jackson, sailing swiftly across the sea. Several pirate ships were pursuing them from behind, with Charlotte Linlin, the captain of Big Mom’s Pirates and the queen of the Charlotte Linlin family, leading the charge.
“Roger! You small fry! You dare come to my world to steal something? I’ll kill you!” An enraged Charlotte Linlin stood at the bow of her ship, yelling furiously at the distant Roger and his crew.
“Mom, look, today’s latest newspaper!” While she was still venting her anger, her son, Charlotte Perospero, hurriedly brought her a newspaper and some information.
Annoyed, Charlotte Linlin glared at Perospero and snatched the newspaper and information from his hands.
“Hahaha, Locke, you little rascal, sure acts fast!” Charlotte Linlin suddenly burst into laughter after reading the newspaper.
“Hmph, Roger, I’ll spare you today. Perospero, order all the ships to return to the New World.” Charlotte Linlin’s mood had dramatically changed, and she ordered Perospero as she walked toward the captain’s quarters.
“Perospero, what just happened? Why did Mom’s attitude change so much after reading the newspaper?” Charlotte Oven asked with curiosity.
“Locke, that guy, has completely taken control of the Aetwol Sea, occupying one-quarter of the New World’s territory,” Perospero responded, shocking Charlotte Oven.
“Really? That happened so quickly! With so many countries and islands in that area, he ended the wars and completely took over in just a few months. How powerful is the Locke Pirates now?” Charlotte Oven marveled, her mouth wide open in disbelief.
“Unbelievable! That intern Locke has become this strong!” Charlotte Oven yelled.
“The world’s strongest pirate crew? Impossible! What on earth happened?” Roger’s crew members cried out in amazement after reading the newspaper.
They couldn’t fathom that the once lowly intern, Locke, had achieved such great success in just a few years.
“Haha! I told you, Locke was going to make a name for himself someday!” Roger and Rayleigh listened to their crew’s astonishment, their smiles broad and content.
“Rayleigh, you see, our time has passed. Now, it’s time for the younger generation to shine.”
“However, before their era comes, old-timers like us still have some tasks to complete.”
“So, young folks, you’ll have to wait for us a bit longer.”
