One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 245
Locke casually strolled through the streets with Perona in the South Sea in the Kingdom of Sobell. This renowned country in the South Sea was known for its wealth, democracy, and freedom, and it exuded an atmosphere quite different from other World Government-affiliated nations.
The people here were happy, healthy, and content. However, this change had only occurred a few months ago, catching the attention of the World Government’s highest echelons.
In the Holy Land, Mary Geoise, a shadowy figure atop the Empty Throne, lounged on the throne, watching the five elders kneeling below. “The Kingdom of Sobell in the South Sea is spreading an ideology threatening the rule of the World Government.”
“Their king is no longer fit to continue ruling the nation.” After uttering these words, the passive figure did not say anything further. The five elders who knelt immediately got up and excused themselves. They understood the meaning of the words.
Returning to their meeting room, they immediately issued orders to the CP (Cipher Pol) and the Navy. Upon receiving these orders, the Navy and CP dispatched personnel to the Kingdom of Sobell in the South Sea.
Meanwhile, Locke, who was leisurely wandering around in the Sobell Kingdom, was blocked by a cloaked man whose entire body was concealed in shadow. Locke was interested in examining the man before him, and the cloaked figure likewise scrutinized Rockse.
“Truly a sight to behold, Captain Locke of the Lockes Pirates, His Majesty of the New World Rockse Federation.” After a while, the cloaked man broke the silence. “Since you know me, why do you dare to block my path? Don’t you know I have dealt with everyone who dares to obstruct my way?”
Saying this, a terrifying aura erupted from Locke’s body, pressing against the cloaked man before him. Upon sensing Rockse’s frightening aura, the cloaked man showed no change in expression. He used his aura to confront Rockse.
Remarkably, the clash of their auras did not produce any discernible change, and the surroundings remained extraordinarily boisterous. Perona floated alongside Locke, constantly observing Rockse and the cloaked man.
She couldn’t understand why these two individuals suddenly turned so severe, and the atmosphere between them became oppressive. After a long time, both men simultaneously laughed, retracting their auras.
“Heh, it’s no wonder you’re that guy’s son. Your strength is truly formidable.”
Rocks chuckled and teased.
“If you didn’t possess such strength, I wouldn’t dare to stop Captain Locke’s path, would I?” The cloaked man spoke in the same calm tone.
“Captain Locke, would you like to have a drink together?” Rocks nodded, agreeing to the invitation. Subsequently, the two men found a relatively quiet bar, seated themselves in a secluded corner, and ordered a drink, sipping it slowly.
“Captain Locke, what do you think of this country?” Suddenly, the cloaked man spoke, inquiring about Rockse’s opinion. Rocks put down his glass, pondering for a moment.
“Well, it seems to be a country of democracy, freedom, peace, prosperity, and vitality.” Hearing Rockse’s words, the cloaked man appeared visibly excited.
“That’s right, the people in this country are indeed happy, peaceful, and full of vitality.” The cloaked man nodded in agreement.
“However, this country was entirely different just a few months ago.”
“Several months ago, this country was impoverished and backward, and the citizens had no hope despite having a wise king. They were utterly powerless under the tremendous heavenly tribute pressure.”
“So, you arrived in this country and persuaded the king to bring about this change?”
Locke interrupted the cloaked man. “Indeed. This change was necessary to make the nation prosperous and the people’s lives happy and hopeful.”
“Just as you govern your own country, Captain Locke.”
“I’ve been to your country, and I can say that the nation you rule is the most beautiful in this world.”
“Everyone living in your country is happy, prosperous, peaceful, and hopeful about the future.” Listening to someone praise his own country, Rockse was quite pleased.
However, he knew that people would only flatter him with reason.
“So, Captain Locke, I can tell that you have great ideals.”
“Let us work together to overthrow the current brutal and decadent World Government and establish a new government that prioritizes the people’s welfare and benefits all citizens!” Rocks suddenly burst into laughter at the cloaked man’s impassioned invitation.
“Hey, are you trying to persuade me to join you? To join your revolution?” With Rockse’s comment, the atmosphere in the bar became incredibly tense. Like a wild beast, the oppressive aura filled the entire bar. Everyone present was quivering under this overpowering presence.
“Lad Locke, despite your noble ideals, don’t rush things too much without the power to back them up. Otherwise, you’ll just become a speck of dust in history.”
“You need to know that the ideology you’re spreading can shake the foundation of the world government’s rule. After hearing Locke’s words, the cloaked man, known as Dragon, paused momentarily and left the bar without another word.
“Thank you for the warning.” Watching Dragon leave, Locke withdrew his aura, raised his glass, and sipped. “What an interesting guy. To think that he’s spreading socialist ideas in the world of pirates. I never thought there would be such pioneers in a world like this.”
After downing the contents of his glass, Locke got up and walked towards the bar’s entrance. “It’s also time to return to the New World. We’ve had peace for so long, but the battle for supremacy among pirates is about to begin.”
