One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 246
The South Sea, the Kingdom of Sobell.
A burly man with a trapezoid-shaped white hat on his head, adorned with scattered brown spots and two bear ears on the cap, donning frameless glasses. He had black woolly curls, remained severe, and was dressed in a black coat with a star pattern on the front.
His hands had bear-paw-like soft pads due to his abilities. He wore white pants with brown spots and brown boots. He had brown gloves on his hands and sat on the throne, quietly observing.
While he was attentively studying, a breeze blew by him. The cloaked man appeared by his side, though it was unclear when.
“He declined it, Bear.”
“Ah, I could guess that.” Bear didn’t seem surprised at all by Dragon’s words.
“Also, Bear, the World Government has dispatched people.” At this point, Dragon sighed with some helplessness, and his expression was regretful. Bear slowly closed the book in his hand.
“Don’t feel guilty, Dragon. This isn’t your fault.” Bear stood up slowly, and his 6.89-meter stature made him look dwarfed compared to Dragon, who was only around three meters tall.
“For the revolution’s success, the mere throne of a king is insignificant.”
“Alright, you can leave now. My guest has arrived.” The Dragon heard this and sighed quietly, then transformed into a breeze, vanishing from the hall.
Not long after Dragon left, a man in a white suit with a tall and slender figure, wearing a white top hat and a strange mask on his face, entered the hall along with a Navy Admiral wearing a crimson suit and a Navy cloak.
The man with the strange mask glanced at the towering Bear, took out a document from his pocket, and tossed it to him with an expressionless face.
“Bear, the King of the Sobell Kingdom, you have been stripped of your title due to your extreme cruelty, violating the laws of the World Government. You will be banished to the sea and never return to the Sobell Kingdom.”
“The throne of Sobell Kingdom will be filled by selecting an outstanding individual from another royal family.”
“Do you have any objections?” After delivering the verdict, the man with the strange mask stared at Bear and inquired. Bear lowered his head and looked at them, remaining silent.
“I have no objections. However, I have one request.”
“Go ahead. The Five Elders have said they will grant you any request if you obediently follow their orders.”
“My only request is that my citizens are treated kindly. They have finally achieved a happy, peaceful life.” The masked man stared at Bear with an emotionless face. He had yet to expect Bear to make this request.
“Understood, I will report to the Five Elders. They will agree to your request.
“Also, the Five Elders would like you to surrender and leave the country as soon as possible. The sooner, the better.” The masked man and the Navy Admiral left the palace hall together. Their mission was complete, and they wanted to save time here.
After they left, Bear returned to his throne in silence, gently touching it. “Dragon, can the future you spoke of really be achieved?” Bear asked quietly.
“Oh, trust me, that future is something we will attain.” Dragon’s voice suddenly echoed in the hall from one corner, and he gradually took shape from thin air.
“However, to achieve that future, we need to find more like-minded comrades to strive together.” Dragon looked at Bear with a severe expression, his tone unwavering.
“I understand, Dragon. I will give all my strength, even my life, for that future.” Dragon approached Bear and extended his hand to grasp his massive hand firmly.
“Welcome to our cause, Bear.” Early the following day, amidst the bewildered gazes of all his subjects, Bear announced his abdication and followed Dragon to leave the Sobell Kingdom.
On the same day as Bear’s abdication, another royal family member, backed by the World Government, became the new King of the Sobell Kingdom. After ascending the throne, he immediately spoke to the world about the previous King, Bear, and his brutal acts.
With the World Government’s instigation, Bear became a tyrant to be eliminated by all, while the new King became a praised hero who led all the subjects of the Sobell Kingdom toward a prosperous and wise rule.
As for the truth of these reports, that remains open to interpretation. On the Grand Line, a massive warship with a dragon carved on its hull sailed rapidly on the sea. The ship didn’t display any flags, making it appear like an ordinary merchant vessel.
Dragon and Bear stood on the deck, reading the latest newspaper. Beside them, another tall figure dressed in extravagant attire, wearing heavy makeup, and sporting an explosive head of hair danced and pranced.
“Haha! The fact that they call Little Bear a tyrant is just too funny! It’s so amusing. I’ve got a stomachache! Hahaha!” She was Dragon’s first comrade, the Queen of the Peach Pink Kingdom on the Grand Line, Ivankov, who was now wearing a white children’s swimsuit and child-sized sunglasses, rolling on the deck in laughter.
Dragon looked at the newspaper and smirked with a touch of disdain. “Heh, it’s just a common trick of the Marines. They like manipulating the truth to ensure continued control over the world.” He casually tossed the newspaper into the sea.
“This decadent government is no longer qualified to rule this world. We will lead all the people to happiness.” Bear silently gazed at the distant sea, his thoughts inscrutable.
But going from a once-wise king to a universally condemned tyrant overnight couldn’t be easy on his conscience either. After a long silence, Bear regained his usual taciturn demeanor.
“Where are we going now?” Dragon looked at Bear, whose expression had returned to normal.
“We’re heading to the New World. I once discovered an island there—an island with no magnetic field—called Baltigo. It can only be found if you use a special method. I plan to establish our headquarters there.”
“Baltigo? It sounds like a good place.” On the other side of the world, after leaving the Kingdom of Sobell, Rockse directly boarded a merchant ship under the banner of the Rockse Pirates and headed to the New World with Perona.
On the deck, Locke wore casual beach shorts and had no shirt on, with a pair of sunglasses, sipping juice while reading the latest newspaper. “Those World Government guys are quite good at twisting the truth, right? It’s truly eye-opening.”
He casually tossed the newspaper aside, covering Perona’s face, who was wearing a white children’s swimsuit with brown spots. “Bear is quite a force to reckon with. Too bad he was beaten to the punch by that guy, Dragon.”
“Locke, you idiot!”
