One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 250
In the New World and the Etervol Sea, dozens of massive warships sailed proudly on the open sea. The flagship, the Flame Phoenix, was at the forefront, leading the entire fleet.
Standing at the bow with crossed arms, Jin gazed at the vast ocean in the distance.
This was the vanguard fleet of the Rocks Pirates, with J?n at the helm, leading a fleet of over twenty subordinate pirate ships.
They traversed the Etervol Sea relentlessly, persistently heading towards the Totland Sea. All factions in the Grand Line quickly knew of the massive movements of the Locke Pirates.
Numerous pirates, fearing unwarranted hostilities, chose to stay hidden. In contrast, others, eager to make a name for themselves, attacked J?n’s vanguard fleet, hoping to gain fame by stepping on J?n’s corpse. However, almost without exception, they met their demise beneath the fiery wrath of Jin.
New World, Totland Sea, and Whole Cake Island.
Charlotte Linlin stared at her sons and daughters, her eyes blazing with anger. “Damn Rocks! Just because he seized two islands, does he declare war on me? Does he think I’m an easy target?” Her furious roar echoed through the skies above Whole Cake Island, sending fear rippling through the island’s residents.
“Mom now is not the time to throw a tantrum. Our top priority is organizing everyone to intercept them in the open sea,” Charlotte Katakuri said calmly, disregarding his mother’s terrifying presence. Charlotte Linlin shot a glare at Katakuri, full of dissatisfaction.
“Katakuri! Just because you’re the son I’m most proud of doesn’t mean you can boss me around. Be careful not to get on my bad side!” Despite her words, Linlin regained her composure. She was not foolish enough to ignore the current situation, and Katakuri possessed the strength to make his advice worth heeding.
“Pero Pero, tell me, who is leading the vanguard for this attack?” Linlin inquired, her tone icy.
When Pero Pero met her cold gaze, he felt a shiver down his spine and quickly reported the gathered intelligence.
“Report, Mother. This time, the vanguard leading the Rocks Pirates is one of the Three Calamities, Jin, also known as the Flame Disaster.” His epithet, Flame Disaster, was earned due to the fiery devastation left in his wake after each battle, leaving the affected regions scorched wastelands.
Hearing that Jin was leading the charge, the members of the Charlotte family couldn’t hide their dismay. The Three Calamities of the Rocks Pirates were notorious figures in the New World, each capable of singlehandedly decimating a nation. Although Jin was the weakest among them, only Linlin’s strongest son, Katakuri, could match him.
The news put enormous pressure on the Charlotte family. “Furthermore,” Pero Pero continued, “I’ve received information that one of the Rocks Pirates’ Three Calamities and second-in-command, Barrett, Rocks’ brother, is on his way here.”
Hearing that Barrett was on his way, the Charlotte family’s expressions turned grim. Barrett, the Gigantos Armament, held the title of the world’s strongest weapon-user and was a formidable opponent, even for Linlin.
“Damn Rocks! I won’t be afraid of you! To wage war over a couple of islands! This infuriates me!” Linlin shouted, her anger apparent. Once a queen who had roamed the seas freely, she had never been afraid of anyone. Now, she felt an unfamiliar sense of frustration.
“If you want to make it difficult for me, then don’t blame me for making it difficult for you!” Linlin declared. In anger, Charlotte Linlin shattered a table, leaving only her furious roars echoing through Whole Cake Island.
Wano Country, Onigashima, the massive skull fortress.
Kaido sat on his throne, listening to the reports from his subordinates. “Hmm, I never expected that Linlin would be so foolish as to challenge Rocks at this time,” Kaido said, drinking and openly ridiculing Linlin’s foolishness.
As the self-proclaimed strongest pirate crew in the New World, the Rocks Pirates, during this time, were trying to establish their place in the new era. Kaido was preparing to use them as an example, yet Linlin had willingly stepped forward.
“Kaido, we can use this opportunity to attack the back of the Rocks Pirates. Their forces must be spread thin now,” one of his crewmates suggested. Kaido laughed heartily. “Noyortla, you want the Beast Pirates to get involved in their war? Our top priority is establishing full control over Wano and eliminating the idiot, Kozuki Oden.”
Kaido’s comments made Noyortla understand the importance of their current situation. The Beast Pirates needed to focus on consolidating their power, dominating Wano, and defeating Kozuki Oden. As for the war between Linlin and the Rocks, Kaido couldn’t care less.
Other major factions were also in no hurry to get involved. In the deep reaches of the New World, the Straw Hat Pirates, having recently embarked on their adventures and recruited like-minded companions, remained uninterested.
The Revolutionary Army’s leader, Monkey D. Dragon, was busy building their revolutionary base, paying little attention to the clash between the Rocks and Linlin. The Marines at Marine Headquarters also disregarded the pirate infighting, preferring to deal with the Revolutionary Army’s threat.
The World Government had dispatched CP0 agents to monitor the war’s progress, but they needed more interest beyond that. Their immediate focus was locating the revolutionary base and eliminating the Revolutionary Army threat.
The only one closely following the situation was a woman named Rouge, living in Windmill Village in East Blue. Her name was rumored to be “Rouge of the Seas.” Rouge read the newspaper and then looked out towards the distant sea. “You have to win, Locke,” she whispered.
