One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 255
In the New World, in the Totland Sea
The war between the Rox Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates escalated further. As more and more personnel and officers from both sides joined the battle, the entire battlefield gradually became uncontrollable.
Almost all the pirates on the scene fought with bloodshot eyes, relentlessly attacking their enemies. Countless pirate corpses floated on the sea surface, and many sea kings were attracted to the area, devouring the bodies that floated on the sea.
The entire Totland Sea had turned into a battlefield resembling a hellish slaughterhouse. Dozens of warships from both sides continuously sank in the crossfire, disappearing into the sea.
The battle between Jin and Katakuri also became a protracted and intense conflict.
Meanwhile, the officers who had come to support the Rox Pirates were engaged in fierce combat with the Charlotte Family members who had come to assist the Big Mom Pirates.
On the battlefield, Vista sat on a ship, crossing his legs while holding a wolf’s fang cane, seemingly idle, and watching the entire scene.
Behind him, Charlotte Conbolt, wearing Seastone handcuffs, looked thoroughly dejected.
It appeared that she had already foreseen her miserable fate. “This war is starting to get boring,” Vista suddenly remarked in his idle state. Charlotte Conbolt glanced at Vista and then at the battlefield. As he had mentioned, the battle still looked incredibly intense on the surface.
However, it was only because the members of the Big Mom Pirates knew they had no way of retreating, and they were giving their all as a last-ditch effort.
But as an observer, she could see that the Big Mom Pirates were already at a significant disadvantage.
Despite the support from members of the Charlotte family, like Smudgee, who brought numerous Homies and pirate soldiers, they still couldn’t stop the Rox Pirates’ advances. Moreover, the Rox Pirates had nearly a hundred formidable individuals standing on the sidelines who seemed incredibly strong.
“Hey, Vista, who are those nearly a hundred people over there?” Conbolt asked with curiosity. Vista glanced at Conbolt. Although he didn’t particularly want to engage with her, he briefly explained.
“That’s the Rox Pirates’ secret division, a corps of powerful Devil Fruit users selected from among thousands of candidates and nurtured with great care by the Rox Pirates.”
“Each one of them possesses powerful Devil Fruit abilities.”
“Whether they are Ancient Zoans, Logias, Paramecias, or Mythical Zoans, you can find a wide variety among them.”
“If they were set loose on the Grand Line, they could all have bounties exceeding one billion.” Upon hearing Vista’s words, Conbolt’s heart sank to the bottom. She had never imagined that the Rox Pirates possessed such a terrifying force.
If this division joined the battle, the Big Mom Pirates would have no chance to resist.
At this moment, she truly understood how formidable the Locke Pirates were. “Indeed, they deserve their title as the world’s strongest pirate crew.
Compared to them, our Charlotte family and the Big Mom Pirates are nothing,” Conbolt said with emotion. If she could turn back time, she would have done everything to prevent the conflict between Big Mom and the Locke Pirates.
Now, she could only sit behind Vista and watch the sea battle unfold, witnessing her family members continuously dying on the battlefield. She knew that unless something unexpected happened, her family would be annihilated today.
On the battlefield, Moria, who had already defeated his opponent, sat bored on a massive throne made of piled-up corpses, observing the carnage. An area around him had become a safe zone where nobody dared to approach.
“Hehehe, the Charlotte family is nothing special. Except for that Charlotte Katakuri, there’s no opponent worth taking seriously,” Moria, one of the Six Pillars of the Rox Pirates and one of the Three Phantasms, taunted.
As for the other vital members of the Six Pillars, including Arlong, Barbosa, and the recent additions, Giz, shared Moria’s sentiment. They easily defeated their opponents with overwhelming power.
With their monstrous strength, hardly anyone from the Big Mom Pirates dared come near them. However, Enel, Lucci, and Zoro, the other three Six Pillars, struggled a bit when facing the Charlotte Family members Charlotte Moscato and Charlotte Amande.
Enel, being relatively young, was the weakest among the Six Pillars despite holding that title, and he needed help dealing with Moscato, a capable minister of the Charlotte Family.
On the other hand, Zoro, preoccupied with managing Fish-Man Karate Café and the SBS, found himself at a disadvantage against Amande, who wielded a unique and deceptive swordsmanship style.
Both felt the pressure and struggled, especially when they witnessed several of their fellow Six Pillars effortlessly defeating their opponents. “Damn it! What kind of swordsmanship is this guy using? It looks so slow but makes it impossible to keep up!”
Zoro cursed as he engaged in a fierce duel with Amande, who seemed to be moving at a snail’s pace, yet her attacks were lightning-fast and deceptive. Amande, who was slowly advancing toward Zoro with a mysterious swordplay, skillfully controlled the flow of the battle.
While he faced her with his usual three-sword style, Zoro inflicted a deep gash on her abdomen, causing her to bleed. But Amande’s movements suddenly became even slower, and her attacks were less precise, causing Zoro to perceive a change in her behavior. Zoro realized that she was deliberately slowing down her pace.
Intrigued by Zoro’s reaction, Amande slowed down further and soon ended up sitting cross-legged on the ground, holding her injured abdomen. “Go ahead, finish me off,” she said, covering her wound.
“You fool, do you think I am interested in killing someone who has already lost the will to fight? And I have no intention of pitying you; I’ll defeat you in a fair fight later!” Zoro proclaimed before leaving, venting his frustration on other pirate underlings and releasing the pent-up anger.
As Zoro left, Amanda had a barely noticeable smile on her face. “What an interesting person.”
