One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 262
The New World, in the Totland Sea.
All the surviving pirates were watching the battle between Charlotte Linlin and the monster. The incredible power, far beyond their comprehension, made everyone present swallow hard involuntarily.
Katakuri observed the fight between the monster and Big Mom, and his eyes filled with contemplation. “How long would I last if I were the one fighting against Mom and that monster?” he wondered. “No, even with my brief glimpses of the future using Observation Haki, I wouldn’t be able to withstand their attacks.”
Soon, he had his answer. Smoothie and Cracker, along with their surviving siblings, gathered behind Katakuri. “Katakuri, what’s happening with Mom? Why does she look like she’s a completely different person this time? It’s like someone else is controlling her body!” Smoothie asked with a low voice.
“I don’t know either, Smoothie. The mom we see now is nothing like the one we know. We can’t make any rash moves right now, or we’ll face nothing but death,” Katakuri succinctly advised his younger siblings.
At this moment, Charlotte Linlin seemed like a beast that had chosen its prey, devoid of rational thought. In the distance, Vinsmoke Reiju and Sanji watched the battle, their appearances as different as night and day.
“Reiju, do you think the one fighting against Barrett right now is still the original Charlotte Linlin?” Sanji suddenly asked. Upon hearing Sanji’s question, Reiju fell silent momentarily before resting her poison-infused lance on her shoulder.
“Although we’ve only received information from the songstress and can’t be certain, it’s possible that the woman from back then, the one who devoured that other woman whole using the Soru Soru no Mi, is hiding within Linlin’s body,” Reiju replied.
Sanji blinked, not quite sure what they were talking about. “Uh, excuse me, but can someone tell me what you guys are talking about?” But neither of them paid any attention to Sanji’s timid question as they continued to watch the battle.
In the central part of the battlefield, there was thunder, lightning, howling winds, splashing rain, and rolling waves. Charlotte Linlin stood in the air like a queen, ruling over the sky. She had harnessed the full power of her Soru Soru no Mi, resembling a sorceress wielding potent magic as she bombarded Barrett’s giant form with relentless attacks.
Her tactics were far more refined than her previous brute-force approach. Behind her, her three Homies floated: Prometheus, Zeus, and her newly created Storm Galette. Her trusty Napoleon had transformed back into a sword-like magical weapon.
With each swing, fire, lightning, and storms continuously emanated from her three Homies. The entire sky seemed to be her domain. The giant monster raised its massive, menacing head and roared as it faced the onslaught of attacks from the sky. Invisible shockwaves disintegrated countless projectiles.
Even though it destroyed numerous attacks, many still landed on the monster’s body and began to devour it. “Damn you! Die, die, die!” Charlotte Linlin laughed manically as she saw her attacks consuming the giant creature.
Due to her prolonged state of Eating Disorder, she had rapidly lost weight, yet her defense had grown stronger, and her aura had become more terrifying. She was like a fierce beast, ready to break free from its cage and attack everyone.
The smoke cleared, revealing the perfectly unharmed giant monster once again. However, this time, it had transformed from its beast form into a colossal mechanical being. It was entirely covered in deep-red armor, with a fearsome crimson helmet on its head, and only its glowing red eyes were visible.
Its arms stood upright at its sides, with hands clenched into fists. Though it remained motionless, an intense aura still radiated from it, signaling its formidable strength. Suddenly, a pair of massive, red mechanical wings extended from its back, blocking half of the sky as they unfurled.
As the wings flapped, onlookers finally grasped the colossal size of the giant. Standing at over a hundred meters in height, the giant wore menacing red armor. Its ankles sported razor-sharp spurs, giving it an even more sinister appearance.
When the giant reached the same height as Charlotte Linlin, onlookers could see her as a tiny woman. Charlotte Linlin, her pink hair flowing, had the three Homies attached to her and Napoleon, which had transformed back into a sword.
With her appearance and demeanor, she resembled a warrior woman, full of spirit and determination. “Emperor Sword: Piercing Blade!” Charlotte Linlin shouted as her sword descended from above, aiming for the giant’s head. The giant raised one arm, and a burst of light transformed into a massive sword, blocking Charlotte Linlin’s strike.
After blocking her attack, the giant’s other arm turned into a cannon, aiming at Charlotte Linlin’s chest. A massive golden beam shot out, heading straight for Charlotte Linlin’s heart.
“Prometheus!” Charlotte Linlin didn’t evade or retreat but roared instead, causing her sun, Prometheus, to transform into a flame shield, blocking the giant’s beam.
“Rocket Rain!” Countless fiery arrows followed as the beam dissipated, targeting the giant’s chest. The giant blocked all the arrows with a shield formed by one of its arms and then lunged at Charlotte Linlin.
Both of them held nothing back as they engaged in a spectacular battle. Fire, lightning, wind blades, and energy beams filled the skies, creating a breathtaking scene. From a distance, Vinsmoke Sanji, Reiju, Katakuri, Moria, and other influential individuals silently watched the battle between Barrett and Charlotte Linlin.
“This battle is about to end,” echoed the same thought in the minds of everyone present.
