One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 282
In the Sea Calendar, in 1517, ten years had passed since the encounter between Locke and Whitebeard. After that meeting, the Whitebeard Pirates completely withdrew from the New World and ventured into the first half of the Grand Line and various other adventures.
With the Whitebeard Pirates gone from the New World, the Locke Pirates launched fierce attacks against all the pirates in the New World. Countless pirates became history under the assault of the Locke Pirates, and some pirates chose to submit, while others decided to leave the New World for the first half of the Grand Line and the Four Blues.
As those pirates left the New World, the first half of the Grand Line and the Four Blues became chaotic, with battles igniting throughout, making life difficult for the residents of various countries. The entire Marine Force was stretched thin due to these conflicts.
After two years of warfare, the Locke Pirates completely dominated all the sea areas in the New World except for Wano Country. During these two years, the Locke Pirates had several conflicts with the Beast Pirates, led by Kaido.
Under the leadership of Barrett, the Locke Pirates launched multiple wars against the Beast Pirates located in Wano Country. However, despite their numerous attempts, the Locke Pirates couldn’t progress due to the formidable natural defenses of Wano, so they eventually abandoned their efforts and formed a comprehensive alliance with the Beast Pirates.
The Beast Pirates and the Locke Pirates became allies in these ten years. During this time, both crews rapidly expanded their power and developed into formidable forces that could challenge the World Government. In a specific area of the New World, a massive ship was leisurely sailing on the sea.
“Hey, Aris, where should we go next?” On the ship, a girl with white hair, blue-tipped hair ends, and a pair of red horns on her head, dressed in a white kimono with red pants and wooden clogs, smiled and asked Aris.
The girl’s name was Yamato, an admiral of the Beast Pirates and the daughter of Kaido. She met Aris during a visit to Wano, where they had a fierce battle over food at a banquet. However, they became good friends after that incident, and Aris invited her to join his crew when he set sail.
“Ah, haven’t I told you before? My journey doesn’t have a destination. We’ll go wherever the wind takes us,” Aris replied, annoyed by Yamato’s constant questions.
Yamato had been chatting nonstop for a while, and it was starting to get on Aris’s nerves.
“Yamato, come here! I’ve found a fantastic skincare product recently,” Louis called out excitedly while holding a beautifully packaged skincare product. “Really? Haha, show me!” Yamato exclaimed, eager to see the discovery. She might not know much about skincare products, but that didn’t stop her from being excited.
“Heh, you two are real idiots.” Perona, who floated in the air with a sinister doll in her arms, looked at the two and sneered.
“Hey, Perona, stop being so grumpy. If you want to join them, go ahead,” Spandam, who was fishing, taunted.
“Jerk! Negative Ghost!” Perona retaliated, her attack going through Spandam’s body.
Seeing Spandam’s pained expression, Perona looked triumphant.
“Hey, check this out: the Marine’s new superstar, Ace, has taken down another group of pirates with bounties over two billion!”
“Damn it! Why is there so little coverage about me, the mighty Aris, as a new superstar?” Aris, wearing a cowboy hat adorned with fur, shoulder-length golden curls that framed his face, and an elegant noble outfit, read the newspaper while looking annoyed.
Aris met Cavendish, a dual-personality man with a sinister alter ego named Hakuba, during a nighttime ambush. After an intense battle, Aris discovered Kavendish’s unique condition and invited him to join the crew.
Aris took the newspaper from Kavendish’s hand and skimmed through it. “Alright, kids, set sail! We can’t let those Marines outshine us!” Aris shouted enthusiastically.
“Uruge, take us to the nearest pirate crew with a bounty of over two billion. I’m going to take them down!” Aris ordered. The ship’s helmsman, Uruge, laughed and quickly steered the ship towards their target.
“Hahaha! Aris, are we going for a fight again? Count me in!” Yamato cheered, jumping on Aris’s back.
“Yamato, you little troublemaker, stop poking me with your horns!” Aris groaned.
Meanwhile, Buggy the Clown and Alvida, two former members of the Buggy Pirates, were standing nearby.
“Damn it, those two are embarrassing,” Buggy commented.
“Indeed, and you’ve received a request from Mr. Locke to take care of Aris. So, it would help if you interacted with him properly,” Alvida reminded.
“Humph, you’re so annoying!”
