One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 283
In the New World, while Ares and his companions were carrying out their actions, in the far-off North Blue, another group had set their plans in motion. “Hehehe, team, move quickly! The Marines are already on their way!”
A robust, hefty man with a black tricorn captain’s hat, a red shirt, black pants, black shoes, two long spears at his waist, a bottle of rum, and gemstone rings on each finger was laughing maniacally.
“Hey, Captain, just a bunch of Marines. We can take care of them with ease, right?”
In the central town cafe, Borsalino, dressed in a yellow-striped suit, strolled casually and sat.
“Miss, please bring me a cup of tea,” Kizaru said in a passionate and lazy tone. The beautiful waitress was a bit startled by the lascivious-looking older man. The recent battle on the island left everyone feeling uneasy, despite the safety notice issued by the Marines. Seeing a man like him made her flustered.
“Hey, Miss, a cup of tea, please, quickly,” Kizaru called again after noticing the waitress’s hesitation.
“Oh, alright, I’ll prepare it for you immediately; please wait.” The waitress quickly composed herself and went to the bar to brew tea, which she promptly served to Kizaru.
Upon getting closer, she noticed the distinctive Marine admiral’s cape that Borsalino was wearing, making her even more flustered. After sipping tea, Borsalino took a nail clipper and trimmed his nails.
“Miss, do you know what’s happening on this island? Anything about a group of powerful pirates appearing recently?” The waitress, flustered, asked, “Powerful pirates? Well, there are plenty of pirates, but I haven’t seen a group that stands out as exceptionally powerful.
With the Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral guarding this island, most pirates don’t dare cause trouble. Except for that incident this morning involving Lassen.” Kizaru replied, “I see. Are there any individuals who look exceptionally powerful?” The waitress put her hand to her chin, seriously thinking, “Compelling individuals? I do know one.
A few days ago, there was a man who looked at least 5 meters tall, wore heavy armor, and always carried a massive ship anchor on his shoulders. He used to come to our cafe quite often, although I’m not sure about his actual strength, but he certainly appeared formidable.”
Borsalino contemplated for a moment and asked, “A 5-meter-tall man in heavy armor carrying a giant ship anchor? Hmm, I’ve never heard of such a person. Well, thanks for the information.” He finished his tea, paid, and left the cafe.
“Rulu Rulu.” Taking out a transponder snail from his pocket, he dialed a number.
“Kada.”
“This is Rear Admiral Bullock. Admiral Borsalino, what are your orders?” Borsalino replied lazily, “Notify all Marine soldiers to search the entire island for a man in heavy armor, 5 meters tall, and carrying a massive ship anchor.”
“Understood!”
“It seems like an unknown fellow. I don’t know about his strength, but it won’t hurt to find him and ask,” Borsalino mumbled as he strolled through the streets. In the central town’s hot spring inn:
“Tichi, is this guy your companion? He’s gigantic!” Fanny said it with curiosity and amazement.
“Hehehe, that’s right. This guy has strength that matches his size. We’re fortunate to have him,” Tichi replied happily while devouring his food. Nottoreus sat quietly, occasionally adding a plate of food to his mouth. “I’m Nottoreus,” he briefly introduced himself and then fell silent, focusing on his meal.
“Ah, you’re Stefaney Odan. You can call me Fanny.” She introduced herself to Nottoreus and then turned to Tichi.
“Does this mean you’ve taken care of that person, Larsen? Tichi?” Fanny inquired.
“Yes, that guy was pretty strong; I almost had a hard time dealing with him,” Tichi casually replied, continuing to enjoy his food.
“Besides Larsen, did you also care for the Marine Vice Admiral on this island?”
“Yes, Nottoreus instantly took care of him.”
“…”
After a brief silence, Fanny said, “Tichi, you should hurry and leave. You’ve taken down a Marine Vice Admiral, and they won’t let you off easily.”
“Don’t worry, no one saw us. But even if they did, so what? I’m Marshall D. Tichi of the Blackbeard Pirates, the man who will conquer the seas! Hehehe,” Tichi said confidently, brushing off Fanny’s concerns.
Knock, knock. The sound of knocking on the door interrupted their conversation. Fanny rushed to open the door. “Hello, guests. There’s a Marine outside looking for a man wearing armor. Do you mind if he comes in?” the respectful waitress asked.
“Marines? Why are they looking for Nottoreus?” Fanny asked nervously.
“I don’t know,” the waitress replied.
“Okay, we got it,” Fanny hastily said, closing the door.
“Tichi, please, you have to run. The Marines are looking for you,” Fanny said anxiously.
“Hehehe, no need to worry. They’re just Marines,” Tichi replied casually, took a bite of his cherry pie, and stood up. “Let me handle this. Hehehe.” Tichi opened the door and headed to the front desk, followed closely by Nottoreus.
“Do you know why the Marines are looking for my companion?” Tichi inquired with a calm laugh.
“Oh? So, you’re my companion, huh? It’s quite frightening; you guys all look like monsters. Well then, do you know about the battle at the harbor today?” Borsalino, with a stern expression, observed Tichi, his muscles ready for any sudden movements, although he appeared calm.
“How could we not know about it? The commotion was so huge that it startled us. We heard the entire harbor was destroyed. So, did they catch the culprits?” Tichi locked eyes with Borsalino, his voice unwavering.
“Well, that means you aren’t aware, then?” Borsalino looked at Tichi.
“Of course not. We’re just here on the island for a vacation,” Tichi responded.
“Is that so?” Borsalino turned around, ready to leave. “By the way, young man, are you pirates?”
“Hehehe, that’s right, we’re pirates. Even though we don’t have any reputation yet and no flag to fly,” Tichi affirmed without hesitation.
“Ah, that’s a shame,” Borsalino said. “Young man, have you ever been kicked at light speed?” His foot shone brightly as he instantly kicked Tichi’s waist.
“Boom!” Although Tichi was prepared, Borsalino’s speed was too fast, and Tichi needed more time to react. He was kicked, crashed through the entire wall, and sent flying out.
