One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 284
In the shattered ruins of the North Sea, Tich slowly climbed to his feet, shaking his head and dusting off the debris from his body.
“That was quite a powerful attack, worthy of an admiral,” he muttered, his mouth carrying a smile, but his eyes filled with anger as he stared at Borsalino in the distance.
“Hey, hey, you’re indeed a powerful monster. I kicked you directly in the face, and you didn’t even sustain any injuries. With such strength, are you a rookie pirate?” Borsalino looked at Tich lazily, sounding surprised.
A loud rumble echoed in the background.
“Xu.”
Borsalino quickly turned into light, evading an attack and reappearing above Nodiles’ forehead, delivering a powerful kick.
“Boom!”
A loud noise followed as Nodiles’ massive body was sent flying, crashing through several buildings and filling the air with dust.
“That was quite impolite, attacking without a word,” someone commented, standing in place.
“Hey, Nodiles, are you okay?” Tich called out to Nodiles in the distance, receiving a response before turning back to glare at Borsalino.
“Oh, both of you are truly monsters,” exclaimed someone, marveling at their unscathed condition as they stood up. “It seems the deaths of Admiral McKenna and Admiral Larsen are related to you.”
“Ha, so you’re making such a bold claim, Admiral, Kizaru, Borsalino. You’re making these conclusions without evidence,” Tich said with a dark expression, preparing for a fight.
“Captain, clashing with an admiral right now is not a wise move,” Nodiles said in a low voice.
“Ah, I know. That’s why I’m preparing to retreat. I’ll hold this guy off for a while. You go to the harbor and steal a ship,” Tich ordered and started walking towards Borsalino.
Upon hearing the command, Nodiles nodded, quickly turning and heading towards the harbor.
Seemingly aware of Tich and Nodiles’ plan, Borsalino’s body began to shimmer with an intense light.
“Eight Shaku Mirrors.”
“Boom.”
While in transit, Borsalino was hit in the chest by a punch covered in a black-red color. He was sent flying, but his body remained unharmed. Tich wore a triumphant smile and looked at Borsalino with intense determination.
“How can I let you leave so easily? Let’s have some fun, shall we?”
In a flash, Borsalino appeared unharmed in front of Tich from the debris and kicked towards him with yellow light emanating from his foot.
“Heh, this ability is quite strong. Indeed, you’re an admiral. But I’m not that easy to deal with!” Tich’s arms bent as he blocked the kick emanating yellow light. The collision of their strengths created a massive shockwave, destroying numerous buildings within a 100-meter radius and turning the surroundings into rubble.
In a brief exchange, neither could gain the upper hand, so they quickly moved backward, with Tich creating distance between him and Borsalino.
“You’re indeed powerful, but I can become light. Creating distance won’t help you,” Borsalino said, standing still and observing Tich, speaking lazily.
“Haha, I’m well aware of that. But are you ready for a life-and-death duel on this island? There are tens of thousands of residents on this island, and it’s quite a unique place,” Tich said confidently, hinting at something.
Upon hearing Tich’s words, Borsalino realized the dilemma. After a brief exchange, he understood that a full-blown battle could endanger the island’s residents and potentially destroy the entire island.
It was not a simple matter.
Seeing Borsalino’s hesitation, Tich smiled and said, “Let’s save the outcome of our battle for another time when we have the chance. Haha, this is where it ends for now.” With that, he turned and headed towards the harbor.
“Well, he’s indeed a monster. Not only is he powerful, but he’s also quite clever. It’s troublesome that we didn’t capture them this time; it’ll be even harder in the future,” Borsalino mused as he watched Tich walk away. He took out a Transponder Snail from his pocket.
“Maru, Maru.”
“Kada.”
“This is the Marine Headquarters. I’m Sakazuki. Borsalino, do you have any important information?”
Sakazuki’s voice came from the Transponder Snail.
“Ah, indeed, there is something to report, Sakazuki. We’ve located the pirates who killed Admiral McKenna, but I let them go,” Borsalino said casually.
“What?! You found them, so why didn’t you arrest them? You let them go?!” Sakazuki exclaimed incredulously.
“Hey, hey, there was no other option. Their strength is incredibly formidable. If we had engaged them fully and arrested them, the residents on this island would not have been safe. Besides, Sakazuki, this is Saken Island.”
“…,” Sakazuki fell into deep silence. He didn’t know what to say. It was true that his nerves were on edge due to Admiral McKenna’s death, but upon hearing Borsalino’s explanation, he quickly regained his composure.
“Ah, I see. Do you know which pirate group they belong to?”
“Well, they’re a new pirate group with just two members, both incredibly powerful. They’re like monsters. But I need to find out their names. I didn’t ask. However, the CP has probably taken photos of them, and we’ll know their names soon.
With a calm response, Borsalino continued, “Okay, I’ve reported the mission. I’m hanging up now. My tea isn’t finished yet.”
“Kada.”
Marine Headquarters, Fleet Admiral’s Office
“Damn it, Borsalino!” Sakazuki roared in frustration. However, he quickly regained his composure and activated a transponder snail to call his subordinates.
“Have you discovered their identities?” Sakazuki asked his subordinates directly, not wasting time on formalities.
“Maru, Maru, Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, please be patient. We just received the photos, and it takes time to gather information. We need more time to find out about them.”
The deep, powerful voice from the transponder snail resonated.
“Hmph, spare me the excuses. I want to know everything about those two within an hour,” Sakazuki coldly replied and promptly ended the call.
“Dealing with one problem after another We just had the clash between Red-Haired Shanks and Kaido, and now we have a troublesome new entry. It’s a headache!” Sakazuki massaged his temples, feeling increasingly exhausted.
One hour later, two sets of information arrived at Sakazuki’s office.
“Marshall D. Tich, substitute captain of the Whitebeard Pirates’ Second Division? And… potentially a member of the Titan Tribe? These people were supposed to be extinct! Whitebeard Pirates and the Titan Tribe—these are indeed troublesome figures.”
