One Piece Shadow Army - Chapter 50
The atmosphere fell silent!
Marine Headquarters Ensign!
This rank alone struck fear into the Fishmen, simply because of the words “Marine Headquarters.”
To attain this rank meant that this young man’s strength was extraordinary!
Arlong’s eyes were dark and cold. “I don’t care who you are, but you dared to kill our Fishman comrades. You must die here today.”
Curls remained unfazed.
“Are you ready to face justice?”
“Justice? Sha ha ha ha!” Arlong burst into a mocking laugh.
“You need to understand, in this ‘Arlong Empire,’ I am the emperor! Justice is nothing but a joke!”
Curls drew his standard-issue sword from his waist, speaking coldly, “Then prepare to die!”
In an instant.
Curls’s figure vanished from his original spot, reappearing in front of Arlong, slashing him away with a single stroke.
Boom!
Arlong’s body flew back, crashing through the hard wall behind him, and buried under a pile of rubble.
“Brother!”
The Fishmen all cried out in shock, not expecting this Marine to be so fast.
“That technique!”
Officer Hachi’s eyes widened in horror; it was one of the Marine’s Six Powers—Soru!
So, he really was from Marine Headquarters!
“Thousand Brick Fist!”
Nearby, the burly officer Kuroobi roared, launching his deadly Thousand Brick Fist technique.
This powerful move could shatter a thousand bricks underwater.
At such close range.
As long as he hit his target, it would cause severe damage.
That was Kuroobi’s belief.
However, he was met with a hand that effortlessly blocked his Thousand Brick Fist.
“You’re too weak!”
After easily blocking Kuroobi’s attack, Curls kicked him away.
Along the way.
Kuroobi’s body knocked down many Fishmen before falling into the sea.
During the past six months of training.
Curls’s strength had undergone a significant transformation, making Fishman pirates like Kuroobi unable to affect him.
Next.
He used his precise swordsmanship, severely wounding Officer Hachi who was preparing his Six Sword Style.
In just a few moments, all the officers of the Arlong Pirates were defeated. The remaining Fishman pirates stood dumbfounded, unsure of what to do.
Arlong slowly rose from the rubble, his heart filled with rage.
Curls’s incredible speed.
Reminded him of the Marine Vice Admiral who once captured him.
“You lowly humans deserve to die. Get him!”
With Arlong’s order, the previously hesitant Fishman pirates raised their weapons and charged at Curls.
Bang!
Lead bullets flew.
Curls sharply dodged to the side, then rushed into the Fishman pirates, unleashing precise swordsmanship to start the slaughter.
With six months of sparring against [Lanloth] and the [Shadow Knights], his swordsmanship had become exceptionally solid. Though he hadn’t reached the level of cutting iron, his precise swordsmanship was already at an advanced level.
These Fishman pirates, to him, were no different from ordinary shrimp.
Every move he made easily took down a Fishman, a testament to his relentless training.
Swish!
In mid-air.
Arlong leaped down, wielding a two-meter-long iron saw. Using his Fishman strength, he delivered a powerful slash that cracked the ground for several meters.
However, Curls was nowhere to be seen in the center of the impact.
Using Soru, Curls silently appeared behind Arlong, slashing horizontally.
Arlong sensed the danger, his jaws—sharp as shark teeth—snapped forcefully.
Crunch!
The standard-issue blade shattered.
Arlong raised his saw weapon again, swinging it at Curls.
But with Soru’s speed, these attacks were ineffective.
Curls appeared a short distance away, glancing at his broken sword with a look of helplessness.
Arlong, being a sawshark Fishman, had jaws strong enough to crush stone pillars easily.
The standard-issue sword was not a renowned blade and couldn’t withstand the bite.
“If that’s the case, it’s time to end this!”
A shadow surged around Curls. He drew the cursed sword, Shusui.
Of course, he held it with a barrier of shadow energy around the hilt.
Otherwise, he would inevitably be influenced by its malevolent aura.
Curls leaped high into the air, unleashing a fierce strike with Shusui.
“Gale Slash!”
An immense wind seemed to form out of nowhere, sweeping in all directions.
The force of this slash grew more intense.
As it reached Arlong, there was no way for him to avoid it.
The crimson blade cut through Arlong’s body, leaving a massive, gruesome wound.
The resulting gale blew away the surrounding Fishman pirates.
Arlong’s face, once filled with rage, froze, and he collapsed.
Arlong Pirates’ leader.
Dead!
The Fishman pirates were terrified, unable to believe their mighty leader had been slain with a single blow. They stood there, dumbfounded.
Curls ordered his shadow soldiers to knock out the remaining Fishmen. After all, he needed some alive for testimony.
In the back of the building, Captain Nezumi, having witnessed Arlong’s defeat, began to tremble.
Suddenly, he felt a cold presence behind him.
Turning around.
It was Curls, the one who had killed Arlong.
Captain Nezumi’s face was filled with fear, cold sweat dripping, and he immediately began to beg, “Don’t kill me, my uncle is in the Marine Headquarters…”
Before he could finish, Curls’s fist landed squarely on his face.
“Save your words for Enies Lobby.”
“I’m just here to arrest you!”
The powerful blow deformed Captain Nezumi’s face, knocking him unconscious and sending him rolling ten times across the ground.
With Captain Nezumi dealt with, the troubles at Arlong Park were mostly resolved.
Curls returned to the battlefield’s center.
The long-forgotten summoning command echoed once more.
“Rise!”
In the silent Arlong Park, the corpses of the Fishman pirates began to change.
Black shadows surged, forming [Shadow Fishmen].
The most notable was Arlong’s body, the shadows coalescing into a dark soldier with a pointed nose, [Shadow Arlong]!
In the six months of mastering his Devil Fruit power, Curls had further developed the ability to “Summon Shadows.”
The number of shadow soldiers had increased from twenty to one hundred.
So, all the dead Fishman pirates were summoned.
“Stand down.”
With Curls’s command, [Shadow Arlong] and the other [Shadow Fishmen] dissolved back into shadows.
But with a single command, they could reappear at any time.
……
Nearby, the Marines, following Curls’s orders, began entering Arlong Park.
What they saw.
Was exactly what they expected—the entire Arlong Pirates had been completely eradicated, Fishman pirate corpses scattered everywhere.
“As expected of Ensign Curls!”
“He’s incredible!”
Despite the praise from his subordinates.
Curls remained stoic, directing the Marines to clean up Arlong Park while sending someone to notify the villagers of Cocoyasi Village.
The Arlong Pirates were no more!
They were finally free!
