One Piece Shadow Army - Chapter 52
In the dead of night, lightning flashed and thunder roared, illuminating the pirate ship now swarming with shadow soldiers.
Standing to Curls’s right was the Grand Knight, Lanros, clad in pitch-black armor and a red cape.
To his left was Barbossa, a towering figure in iron armor with a red beard and the power of the Rum-Rum Fruit.
Behind them, lined up in perfect formation, were eight Shadow Knights in matching armor.
There was Arlong, the muscle-bound, sharp-nosed Fishman once feared as the most evil in the East Blue.
Kuro, the thin figure with black-rimmed glasses, and Euron, the over-four-meter-tall giant of a man.
These were formidable shadow soldiers, each with bounties exceeding ten million berries.
In addition to these, there were over fifty Shadow Fishmen and numerous ordinary shadow soldiers.
The once confident pirates were now stunned, unable to comprehend how so many strange soldiers had appeared out of nowhere.
“Attack.”
At Curls’s command, all the shadow soldiers launched their assault.
Splash! Splash! Splash!
Curls glanced in surprise as he saw Arlong and over fifty Shadow Fishmen dive into the sea.
Even as shadow soldiers, the Fishmen had not lost their natural ability to swim and no longer feared the sea.
The only way to truly defeat the shadow soldiers was to defeat Curls, the Devil Fruit user.
A sword light, tens of meters long, was unleashed by Lanros.
Slash!
The pirate ship ahead was cleanly sliced in half.
Amidst the pirates’ cries of alarm, the severed ship slowly sank into the sea.
Hiss!
A rapidly moving shadow appeared on another pirate ship, its body emitting white steam.
It was Barbossa!
Now in his second distillation form, Barbossa’s combat power was fully unleashed.
With a downward smash, the sturdy deck caved in, causing significant damage that rendered the ship unable to sail.
While Lanros and Barbossa wreaked havoc, the other shadow soldiers engaged the Krieg Pirates.
Kuro’s “Shakushi” sent the pirates on one ship into a panic.
The eight Shadow Knights combined their attacks, easily cutting down any pirate in their path.
“What are these monsters?”
“They’re too strong! How can there be enemies this powerful?!”
“Help! Somebody help me!”
As the shadow soldiers began their onslaught, desperate cries erupted from the usually ruthless pirates.
Nearby, pirates who hadn’t yet joined the fight felt a chill down their spines, baffled by how the battle had turned.
Their numbers far outstripped the enemy’s, yet they were being slaughtered one-sidedly.
Crack!
Suddenly, a clear sound rang out.
The pirates who had not yet entered the fray noticed the hull breaking apart and cried out.
“It’s those black Fishmen! They’re breaking the hull!”
“Damn it!”
“Get off this ship!”
For Fishmen, underwater combat was their greatest strength.
Using their immense strength, Arlong and the Shadow Fishmen broke holes in the hulls of the pirate ships.
Seawater poured in, causing the ships to tilt and sink, on the brink of capsizing.
After breaking the hulls, Arlong and the Shadow Fishmen leaped onto the pirate ships, using their formidable strength to engage the pirates anew.
Blades clashed!
Guns roared!
Some shadow soldiers were inevitably shattered.
But the following scene crushed any hope the Krieg Pirates had.
The shattered shadow soldiers reformed and resumed their killing spree.
“This…”
On the patrol ship, the Marines were familiar with the ensign summoning shadows to fight.
But today’s battle was too intense, leaving them at a loss.
This was the formidable Krieg Pirates Fleet with over three thousand men, not an ordinary pirate crew.
Yet Ensign Curls’s shadow soldiers were quickly decimating the pirates?
It was incredible!
……
The flagship of the Krieg Pirates was the “Dreadnought Sabre,” with a panther head prow and three decks.
At this moment.
Krieg, with a bounty of 18 million berries, was holding a banquet, feasting with his crew.
Hearing the commotion outside.
Gin, drunk, stumbled out of the cabin and looked towards the battle.
In Gin’s memory.
That area had over ten pirate ships, a strong force.
But what he saw shocked him.
More than half of the ships were already sinking, and countless comrades were calling for help in the sea.
This?
Wasn’t it too early for the plan?
Gin’s drunkenness faded as he wondered if Captain William had launched the attack prematurely.
A white sword light flashed in his vision, slicing a pirate ship in half and sending it sinking.
Gin quickly assessed the situation and, realizing it was the Marines attacking, hurried back to the flagship to report.
“Commander, the Marines are attacking!”
“The left wing fleet is nearly wiped out!”
Sitting on the topmost seat of the cabin was a purple-haired man over two meters tall, clad in golden armor.
Hearing the Marines were attacking, Krieg’s ape-like face froze as he drank.
When Gin reported the near destruction of the left wing, Krieg exploded in anger.
“What nonsense!”
He knew his left wing fleet consisted of twelve ships and over a thousand pirates. How could they be defeated so quickly?
Gin gravely insisted.
“Commander Krieg, I’m not joking. It’s really the Marines attacking!”
Krieg’s expression darkened as he quickly headed outside. He knew Gin wouldn’t joke about this.
As Krieg stepped outside, he witnessed a shocking scene:
The left wing fleet was nearly obliterated, with barely any combat-capable ships.
And the attacking Marines,
Were on a single small patrol ship!
How could it be just one patrol ship?!
In his astonishment, Krieg saw a pirate ship speeding towards the flagship.
On this pirate ship stood a young Marine officer in a Marine coat!
Was this the one who destroyed twelve pirate ships?
“Sink that ship immediately!”
Sensing a grave threat, Krieg ordered his gunners to fire.
He didn’t care if comrades were still on that ship; he needed to eliminate the threat.
Dozens of cannonballs flew through the air.
Lanros’s black sword slashed, sending a flying cut that detonated the cannonballs mid-air.
The explosion lit up the dark night for a few moments.
With the Shadow Fishmen pushing it, Curls’s pirate ship sped towards Krieg’s flagship.
As the ships collided,
Curls used “Soru” to appear at the flagship’s prow.
The pirates on deck were shocked by the Marine’s speed.
Seeing him unharmed and on the flagship, they realized this Marine was formidable.
Krieg’s eyes narrowed, hiding his fear, and he barked, “What do you want?”
Curls’s cold voice answered as shadow soldiers landed on the deck behind him.
“Unfortunately for you, you blocked my way home! So, you and your pirate fleet will be destroyed today!”
