One Piece Shadow Army - Chapter 59
On Krieg Pirates’ main ship, Smoker stood at the bow, smoking a cigar and observing the Marines cleaning up the scene.
The Krieg Pirates, a fleet of over three thousand men, left behind a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and food that needed to be collected and handled. The defeat of such a massive pirate fleet was the largest battle in the East Blue in recent times.
What was surprising was that the “Ruler of the East Blue” had been defeated single-handedly by Curls.
Smoker exhaled a heavy cloud of smoke, glancing at the numerous pirate captives being loaded onto the ship. A rare sense of satisfaction filled his heart.
Not bad at all! With such a rising star in the Navy, the East Blue would be much more stable.
However, he sighed softly. After this battle, Curls’s brilliance would undoubtedly attract the headquarters’ attention, and his time in the East Blue would be limited. But that was Curls’s concern, not his. Smoker pushed the thoughts out of his mind and turned to inspect other pirate ships to ensure no one had escaped.
By four or five in the morning, the battlefield had been mostly cleaned up. Smoker did not linger and led the fleet back to the Navy base in Loguetown.

Morning.
On a calm sea, the William Pirates sailed smoothly. William’s injuries had been treated, but he still needed several days to fully recover.
The rising sun cast a golden glow over the sea. William stood at the bow, silently watching the tranquil waters. Behind him, hundreds of crew members waited quietly, not saying a word.
After a few minutes, William turned around, his gaze sweeping over his crew as he spoke solemnly.
“I, George William, lead this pirate crew with unity as our guiding principle. I’ve always said that every member of this crew is important to me.”
“No matter who gets captured, we will do everything to rescue them.”
The crew members smiled, not disputing his words. The facts supported them—when Jeff was captured by the Navy, they all banded together to rescue their vice-captain.
William continued seriously, “Akin is our comrade. Though he infiltrated Krieg’s pirate crew three years ago and some might feel distant, our bonds of friendship and camaraderie do not fade. Akin was captured by Loguetown’s Navy, and we will rescue him.”
Aldoron looked at William, his expression serious, “Captain, just tell us the plan. We’ll follow it.”
The other pirates nodded in agreement.
William looked at his crew, his calm voice carrying a commanding presence. “We used a kidnapping plan to rescue Jeff before. This time, the method is simple: we will attack Loguetown’s Navy base and rescue Akin.”
For a moment, the pirate ship fell silent. Attacking Loguetown’s Navy base was a daring plan that even the East Blue ruler Krieg would hesitate to undertake. Such an attack would mean tearing apart the fragile peace with the Navy, leading to a full-scale conflict. The Navy bases represented the authority of the Navy Headquarters in the East Blue, and their defenses were strong, making them formidable targets.
Despite this, the William Pirates responded with excitement and determination. They differed from the typical East Blue pirate crews—every crew member was experienced and strong, capable of attacking Loguetown’s Navy base. William was meticulous and would not propose such a plan without the strength and confidence to back it up. The time was ripe.
Jeff, arms crossed, asked, “Ready to gather forces and enter the Grand Line?”
William nodded. “Yes. I originally planned to use the defeat of the Krieg Pirates to gather our forces and make a grand entrance into the Grand Line. But Curls beat us to it and captured Akin. We must rescue him first.”
“Gather all forces in the East Blue within ten days.”
The crew, hearing William’s order, moved with enthusiasm. They used Den Den Mushi to communicate with distant allies and traveled to notify those nearby in person.
Over the years, the William Pirates had secretly built their influence across the East Blue, leveraging their reputation for not harming civilians. Now, William’s call to arms was finally bringing those forces together.

East Blue, Goa Kingdom.
Known as the “most beautiful kingdom in the East Blue,” it hid a dark secret. Behind the royal city lay the “Gray Terminal,” a dumping ground for trash and unwanted people. Many destitute and hungry people survived here, relying on the discarded items.
When the “Celestial Dragons” visited the Goa Kingdom, the Gray Terminal was burned down, but some destitute people still lived in the area. The nobles in the royal city showed no compassion, only disdain and contempt.
The William Pirates frequently dropped off supplies and food along the coast, helping these people survive. Over time, they gained a strong reputation among the locals. Anyone speaking ill of the William Pirates would face hostility.
William’s actions were not purely out of kindness; he aimed to cultivate support among the lower classes.
In the Korpo Mountain, a William Pirates crew member received the captain’s gathering order via Den Den Mushi. Stepping out of a wooden cabin, he saw a thriving town with thousands of residents, most of whom were capable fighters and hunters.
The crew member relayed William’s message, and the entire town knew: that Captain William was forming a grand pirate fleet, and participation was voluntary.
“I’m in. If not for Captain William’s help, I wouldn’t be alive today. I want to join the grand fleet!”
“Count me in. Repaying kindness is worth becoming a pirate.”
“Me too!”
The town was abuzz with excitement.
—
Black Reef Town.
An island in the East Blue with jagged black reefs along its coast. Many ships stopped here to enjoy the numerous bathhouses. Few knew that the William Pirates controlled the area behind these bathhouses, where they secretly crafted weapons.
Jeff arrived with ten crew members, and they began loading the finely crafted weapons onto their ship, preparing for battle.

Victoria Kingdom.
A powerful kingdom in the East Blue. One day, King Norton I was bored and impatient listening to his ministers’ reports. Afterward, he planned to visit his newborn seventh son.
As he prepared to leave, his tall bodyguard suddenly knelt on one knee.
“Your Majesty, I must apologize. Due to certain circumstances, I can no longer serve as your bodyguard. Please find a replacement.”
Norton I, shocked and confused, stared at the armored guard captain. After processing the information, he angrily replied, “Herod, what are you saying?”
Guard Captain Herod responded, “I’m sorry, Your Majesty. I must leave the Victoria Kingdom.”
Herod had once been saved by William and promised to assist him whenever needed. Now, the time had come to fulfill that promise.
Unable to believe his ears and irritated by his ministers’ reports, Norton I shouted, “Herod, do you think you can just leave after serving as my guard captain for years?”
In an instant, the surrounding guards encircled Herod. “I apologize for the inconvenience,” Herod said, showing no fear. The guards hesitated to stop him, knowing he was the kingdom’s “strongest warrior.”
Norton I shouted after him, “Leave if you must, but remember, your title of the strongest warrior means nothing outside this kingdom!”
Ignoring the king’s anger, Herod left the palace without a word.

William’s order had a widespread impact in the East Blue. In just two days, the William Pirates had gathered more forces than Krieg’s three thousand men, officially becoming the new rulers of the East Blue. And more forces were still on their way.
