One Piece: Song of Despair - Chapter 30
“Crackle… crackle…”
Endless flames burned, emitting high temperatures.
“Bubble… bubble…”
Boiling dark red magma rolled as if capable of swallowing everything.
A divine giant bird hovered mid-air in the fiery domain, its eyes radiating absolute ferocity.
Below, amidst the churning magma, Akainu’s lower half had completely transformed into magma, as if fused with the earth, exuding unimaginable energy.
“Dead bird, is this your strongest move? You can defeat Kizaru, but you can’t defeat me,” Akainu taunted, confidence brimming as he looked disdainfully at the divine flaming bird in the sky.
“Dead dog, let’s settle this. Today, only one of us will survive, and that will be me, Nokiyoru Kara. As for you, you’ll die without a grave,” Nokiyoru declared, his sharp gaze making the flames in the entire space flare up violently.
“Is that so? Then let’s see who will die without a grave.”
Magma churned, and the entire ground began to surge.
“High Temperature. Vacuum State.”
With an evil smile, Nokiyoru’s wings transformed into hands, snapping his fingers. Instantly, the flames boiled, and a strange wave spread out. In a flash, the entire fiery domain turned into a vacuum.
“This… this is impossible…” Akainu’s face twisted in disbelief as he realized all the oxygen in the space had vanished.
“Nothing is impossible.”
The chilling voice echoed in his ears. Akainu’s face twitched, unable to react, as he was sent flying with a grunt of pain.
“Extreme Speed. Finger Gun. Golden Crow Claw.”
In a flash of fire, Nokiyoru pursued, and before Akainu could hit the ground, he descended from above, aiming a fierce kick at Akainu’s stomach.
“Armament. Dark Hound.”
Seeing the imminent attack, Akainu’s face hardened, knowing he couldn’t dodge. Instead, he decided to meet it head-on, quickly coating his stomach with Haki. His right hand transformed into a fiery meteor, tearing through the air towards Nokiyoru’s head.
“Armament. Feather Wings.”
With a disdainful snort, Nokiyoru’s right-wing, wrapped in flames and pitch-black, shielded his head while his claw continued towards Akainu.
When it came to ferocity, Nokiyoru was second to none.
“Boom… boom…”
Two deafening impacts echoed. Nokiyoru’s kick landed heavily on Akainu’s stomach, while Akainu’s attack struck Nokiyoru’s wing with force.
“Boom…” Magma roared and splashed. Akainu spat a mouthful of blood, falling into the magma and creating a fiery crater that remained open for a long time.
Nokiyoru, meanwhile, was knocked sideways, his head throbbing from the impact. After all, Akainu’s explosive force was no joke, simulating a volcanic eruption. The power of a volcanic explosion was unparalleled.
However, Akainu’s situation was dire. In this vacuum space, even if he could hold his breath for a while, it wouldn’t last long, especially during combat.
It was well-known that during battle, oxygen consumption was several times that of normal. Akainu’s face showed that he was struggling, unable to hold out much longer.
“You despicable coward, fight me without these underhanded tricks!” Akainu cursed, his face pale from lack of oxygen.
“Idiot, this ability is part of my power. If you have the skill, you can develop your own,” Nokiyoru retorted coldly, looking at Akainu like a fool.
“Infinite Arrows.”
“Flame Laser.”
Nokiyoru’s eyes glinted coldly as he spread his hands, fingers glowing. Above his back, countless swords, spears, and lances appeared.
“Die.”
“Whoosh… whoosh…” The terrifying sound of projectiles cutting through the air filled the space.
Seeing the endless attacks, Akainu’s pupils contracted. His body tensed, transforming into magma and merging with the ground to evade.
“Boom… boom…”
Relentless explosions rocked the space, causing violent tremors and making the magma surge. This barrage of attacks continued for nearly three minutes.
“Pant… pant… pant… pant…”
After three minutes, Nokiyoru panted heavily, drenched in sweat. Such continuous, relentless attacks had drained his stamina.
“Dead dog, I know you’re not dead. How long will you hide like a turtle?”
Closing his eyes, Nokiyoru unleashed his Observation Haki fully, turning to stare at a constantly shifting section of magma.
“Bubble… bubble…”
The magma churned, and a figure emerged. Akainu’s body was covered in blood, wounds of various sizes littering his form, evidence of the damage from Nokiyoru’s attacks.
“Dead bird, you can’t defeat me,” Akainu spat, glaring at Nokiyoru. “Maintaining this fiery domain and removing the oxygen will exhaust you. If I can hold out a bit longer, you’ll surely lose.”
“Hahaha… Not bad, not bad. I thought you were just a musclehead, Akainu. Didn’t expect you to use your brain.”
Nokiyoru’s mockery showed no signs of panic. Indeed, this tactic could rapidly deplete his stamina, but he had accounted for that.
“If you’re still hopeful, I’ll grant you that. Despair is a fitting expression.”
Akainu’s hair stood on end, sensing Nokiyoru still had a trump card.
“Dead dog, enjoy the gift I’ve prepared for you.”
In mid-air, Nokiyoru spread his wings, then raised them above his head. Instantly, streams of flame surged, forming a golden-red sphere that continued to compress.
Seeing Nokiyoru’s actions, Akainu’s heart pounded. He had suffered from this move before and needed to stop it.
“Great Eruption.”
“Infinite Arrows.”
“Damn…” Seeing his attacks blocked, Akainu roared, launching desperate assaults.
Even if some attacks broke through the fiery barriers, Nokiyoru dodged them with his Observation Haki.
Unnoticed, time passed. Sweat beaded on Akainu’s forehead as the golden-red sphere above Nokiyoru’s head grew more solid.
In mere moments, the sphere’s temperature surpassed five million degrees Celsius, continuing to rise and turning golden-white.
“Not enough… not enough…”
Feeling his rapidly dwindling stamina and energy, Nokiyoru gritted his teeth, absorbing the entire fiery domain. Instantly, the wind howled, and the space’s flames surged into the sphere. In a moment, the massive flame dome vanished, revealing everything inside.
As the dome disappeared, everyone felt a shocking energy. Looking up, faces turned pale, and curses erupted.
“This is bad. That guy wants to destroy this island,” Sengoku’s face darkened, sensing the explosive power within the sphere.
“Quick… order everyone to evacuate the island,” Tsuru commanded urgently.
“What a terrifying fellow,” Garp wiped his sweat. He thought even facing this head-on, his life might be in danger. Just a bit of risk was enough for Nokiyoru to boast.
The winds shifted instantly, even the magma on the ground receding.
“Not enough… not enough…”
“Boom…” The basketball-sized sphere doubled in size, glowing golden-white.
“Akainu, prepare to die.”
Nokiyoru roared, vanishing from the air appearing before Akainu instantly. The two were inches apart.
Facing imminent death, Akainu’s heart froze, and his hair stood on end. He could see Nokiyoru’s ferocious face.
“Dead bird, let’s perish together. Magma. Volcanic Eruption.”
Akainu’s eyes reddened. If Nokiyoru wouldn’t let him live, he wouldn’t let Nokiyoru have it easy.
“Armament. God. Sun.”
Nokiyoru’s face twisted with rage, glaring at Akainu. Likewise, Akainu’s face was crimson, ready to give it his all.
“They’ve gone mad. Both of them,” Sengoku cursed, seeing the two maniacs intent on mutual destruction.
Everyone was glued to the scene, watching the two ferocious lunatics.
“Garp, Sengoku, Zephyr, let’s stop them,” Sengoku ordered urgently, disappearing.
“Whoosh… whoosh…” Four pitch-black figures exploded into the air, appearing on the battlefield instantly.
“Explode.”
“Bang…” Thunder roared, lightning flashed, and the sky turned white.
“Boom… boom…” The earth shook, a black mushroom cloud rose to the sky, and an unstoppable hurricane swept everything away. The ground trembled, the island shook violently, and seawater flooded in. From high above, it looked like the island had split in two.
