One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 12
In Robin’s room.
The window was slightly open, letting in moonlight and a gentle breeze as if they wanted to join the dream.
With a flash of silver light, Evan appeared in the room out of thin air.
Evan looked around the familiar room, finally fixing his gaze on Robin lying on the bed. One side of her blanket was kicked off, revealing her small frame wrapped in a thin purple nightgown.
Robin looked peaceful in her sleep, curled up with a pillow. Her soft breathing was steady and deep. Her dark blue hair spread out like flowers, and her cherubic face had a faint floral scent.
“Little girl.”
Evan called softly, his eyes showing an unprecedented gentleness.
Evan didn’t know when he started to care so much about the girl before him.
When he first reincarnated into the world of pirates, he felt like an outsider, out of place with the people of this world. That’s why he chose to train alone and live on the east coast, far from the residential areas, thinking about how to survive in this world full of strong people and how to leave the island for a relatively safer
place.
When he accidentally saved Robin, it felt like fate had brought a character from an anime into his life.
She was a real person, with blood, flesh, and emotions—not just a drawing on a cold page or a figure on a screen.
Nico Robin was a pitiable little girl living by his side.
When she felt lonely and sad, when she gazed at the sea, when she was bullied, and when she was taken by pirates, Evan’s heart ached.
So he repeatedly changed his initial goals and found new motivation to become stronger for her.
Robin often said he brought her joy, happiness, and hope.
But in truth, it was Robin who made him feel part of this world.
“Evan.”
Lost in thought, Evan was startled by a sudden voice. Looking at the bed, he saw that it was Robin talking in her sleep.
“Evan, don’t leave me…” Robin murmured in her sleep, hugging her pillow tighter.
“Little girl, I won’t leave you,” Evan whispered, gently covering her with the blanket.
He watched Robin quietly for a long time before his figure flashed, disappearing from the room.
The room returned to silence, with a faint smile appearing on Robin’s sleeping face.
### The Next Morning
A massive steel warship, heading towards a target, sailed through the vast sea. The Marine’s blue seagull emblem proudly fluttered on the white sails.
A young man lay lazily on a deck chair, his face covered with a magazine, exposing only two tufts of black hair, basking in the warm sun.
“Vice Admiral Kuzan.”
A Marine officer approached respectfully.
“Damn it, can’t you see I’m sleeping?” Kuzan removed the magazine and yelled.
“Sorry! Headquarters sent a message saying that the two CP9 members dispatched yesterday lost contact on Ohara Island. Other CP9 officers are about to arrive on the island, and we are to speed up and get there,” the Marine officer explained hurriedly.
“Got it! Full speed ahead!” Kuzan grumbled.
“Yes, sir!” The officer saluted and rushed to relay the order.
The West Coast of Ohara Island
Evan walked along the beach, noticing a huge figure sprawled on the shore like a small mountain.
It was a giant, several times larger than an ordinary person. He was dressed in shorts and a T-shirt and wore a brown hat. His body was covered in scars and blood, and seagulls circled overhead, calling out as waves lapped at his legs.
Evan approached the giant’s face, scaring away the seagulls. Seeing a giant for the first time in this world, he couldn’t help but marvel at the creator’s wonder.
Such a strong and towering giant, with unparalleled strength.
“Cough, cough…” The giant suddenly coughed, stirring up the sand on the beach.
He gasped for breath, his eyes reflecting Evan’s figure, and he urgently said, “Water…”
“No choice then,” Evan sighed, knowing he couldn’t move such a massive figure without using his ability.
“ROOM.”
A circular space with a radius of 300 meters unfolded, enveloping the giant. Evan grasped the air, his spatial ability lifting the giant’s body off the ground to float.
“ROOM – Command.”
With a point of his finger, the giant’s body slowly moved to the edge of the lake on the west coast. Releasing his ability, the giant fell, causing the ground to tremble slightly, and he immediately plunged his head into the water, gulping down the lake water.
Watching the lake level drop visibly, Evan was speechless.
“Ahaha, that was refreshing!” The giant raised his head, his face filled with contentment. He looked at Evan and said, “I am a giant, named Jaguar D. Saul. Thank you so much.”
With his strange laughter and the “D” in his name, Evan confirmed he had saved the right person—the former Vice Admiral who betrayed the Marine to rescue Olvia.
“My name is Evan. No need to thank me. I have something to ask you,” Evan said. “Do you know where Nico Olvia is now?”
Saul’s eyes widened, his massive body leaning back, crushing several trees.
“How… how do you know Olvia’s name?” he asked in panic.
Evan jumped onto a nearby rock, looking down at Saul. “Because this is Ohara Island. I know Olvia for certain reasons.”
“What? You say this is Ohara Island? How did I end up here…” Saul’s expression turned more fearful, his eyes filled with dread. “This island… is about to be destroyed!”
“I know that. I asked you where Olvia is,” Evan pressed, aware of the limited time.
“Olvia…” Saul thought for a moment, then sighed. “After rescuing her from headquarters, we escaped on a Marine ship, chased by Marine gunfire. A storm hit, and we fell overboard, washing ashore here. Olvia is still on the ship. If she’s lucky, she might come to this island too.”
Evan frowned. Saul’s information was useless to him.
If he had known where Olvia’s ship would land, he could have used “ROOM” to search.
But knowing that Olvia would come to the Tree of Knowledge wasn’t enough, as CP9 and the Buster Call would arrive simultaneously with her!
“This is troublesome,” Evan sighed, deciding to wait at the Tree of Knowledge for Olvia.
“Evan, the World Government is going to use the Buster Call on Ohara! You must flee by boat now!” Saul urged, showing his kind nature by thinking of Evan first.
Evan sighed inwardly. How could he not want to escape?
Waiting for the Vice Admirals to arrive would cut off his escape route.
But he couldn’t selfishly take Robin away without finding her mother.
Evan knew that Robin often gazed at the sea, waiting for her mother to return and take her on a voyage. Now that hope was within reach, he had to help Robin fulfill this wish.
“Saul, quickly make a simple boat and leave the island. I have to save Olvia,” Evan said, his figure flashing and disappearing from the rock.
Saul’s eyes widened in surprise, his Observation Haki spreading out, unable to sense Evan’s presence. “A Devil Fruit user, huh?”
