One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 15
Watching the figure vanish before his eyes, Kuzan frowned. His Observation Haki spread out, but he couldn’t sense Evan’s presence.
Only the surrounding ice shimmered under the sunlight, emitting a white chill.
“Ah, long-distance teleportation? He actually escaped with someone. This is troublesome,” Kuzan sighed, shrugging but not overly concerned.
Two miles away in the forest, a wounded deer was frantically fleeing. A small, clean wound on its back bled profusely, the result of a sharp object piercing its flesh.
A flash of silver light and Evan appeared beside the deer, carrying Olvia.
With a thud, he collapsed to the ground, and Olvia fell beside him.
Pain spread through his body bit by bit!
This was the aftereffect of overusing his Devil Fruit ability.
Evan gritted his teeth, clutching his violently beating heart with one hand while struggling to lift himself and carry Olvia again.
“Once… once more…”
He could clearly sense Robin’s spatial marker.
“If I don’t hurry, I won’t make it in time!”
Panting heavily, the ice that had formed earlier had melted from his feverish body, soaking his clothes with a mix of sweat and ice water.
“Silver Flash!”
Evan gritted his teeth and teleported with Olvia once more.
The Tree of Knowledge
Sunlight was filtered through the thick canopy, casting a cool shade on the green grass. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient tree.
“Kill him! He knows too much!” An old, stern voice filled with killing intent rang out.
Bang!
A crisp gunshot shattered the tranquility.
The scholars gasped in horror, never expecting the government officials to act so ruthlessly and decisively.
Standing before the scholars, Dr. Clover fell straight to the ground, red blood blooming like a flower on his chest.
“Doctor!” Robin and the scholars rushed to his side.
CP9 officer Spandine smiled smugly, his gun still smoking. “See this? This is your fate!”
“All units, listen up! The scholars of Ohara are studying ancient scripts to create demons! Kill them all, leave no one alive!”
He commanded loudly, finally pressing the red button on the golden Den Den Mushi.
Dr. Clover’s face changed upon seeing this.
Spandine’s black-suited subordinates rushed forward, guns raised, ready to execute the scholars.
“Sir, what about the little girl in there?”
“Hmm?” Spandine glanced at Robin, then spoke coldly, “She heard too much. Kill her too!”
“Yes, sir!”
The men in black suits raised their guns at the unarmed scholars.
“How can you commit such a heinous act!” Dr. Clover coughed up blood, enraged.
“Who told you to try and create demons,” Spandine said indifferently. As long as they could pin an unjustifiable crime on them, killing them was justified.
As long as everyone died, no one would know the truth!
Just as they were about to pull the trigger, a silver light tore through the air. Evan and Olvia appeared on the grass, both falling heavily to the ground.
The scholars and government officials were stunned, staring at Evan and Olvia, who had suddenly appeared.
“Evan!” Robin rushed forward, tears streaming down her face, and hugged Evan, who was lying on the ground.
“Hahaha, I made it back, Robin.”
Evan hugged her back, his laughter mixed with tears.
He had been truly afraid!
Afraid of losing the only person he cherished in this world!
Afraid that he wouldn’t make it in time to prevent a tragic parting even with teleportation!
“Robin, this woman beside me is your mother. I brought her back for you,” Evan said, standing up and helping Olvia to her feet.
“Is it… really?” Robin trembled, staring straight at Olvia.
You must be so happy, Robin.
Evan sighed softly, scanning the area with his eyes. His face changed when he saw Dr. Clover lying in a pool of blood.
“Doctor!” Evan rushed to support Dr. Clover, whose body was weakening.
Dr. Clover, who had taken care of Robin from a young age and had been kind to Evan for years, was a scholar he deeply respected.
“Evan, you… must take Robin and leave here, or it will be too late!”
Before Dr. Clover could finish his words, several cannonballs streaked across the sky, landing on the surrounding grass, and exploding into fire and debris.
Evan looked towards the source of the cannon fire—it was from the eastern coast.
The Buster Call had been activated.
“Damn it! We’re still on the island! Why are they attacking us too!”
Spandine cursed, waving his hand. “Forget them, let’s get out of here!”
“Hold on…” Evan gently laid Dr. Clover down, turning to face Spandine with a stern expression. “You think you can leave here unharmed?”
“Kid, what do you intend to do!” Spandine glared, pointing at Evan. “Kill him.”
Evan sneered. The CP9 members with real combat power weren’t here—they were still chasing Olvia. As for these lackeys…
“ROOM – Spatial Imprisonment!”
He suddenly activated his ability, covering the entire area. The black-suited men with guns were frozen in place, unable to move.
Spandine’s face turned pale. Drenched in cold sweat, he found it hard to move a finger, the pressure around him immobilizing him.
“CP9 officer, you’re just a powerless, pompous clown,” Evan said coldly, with disdain.
“Die!” Evan slowly brought his hands together. The spherical space compressed inward, and soon, the bodies of over a dozen men twisted and crushed together, their limbs and flesh distorting.
“Stop, please!” Spandine felt the pressure intensifying, his organs about to burst. His face was full of desperate fear. “I can spare you…”
“Be buried here… Spatial Crush!”
Evan’s hands closed completely, turning the bodies into a balls of flesh and blood. Releasing his ability, the remains splattered onto the ground in a gruesome mess.
This technique was easy to escape for strong opponents but was lethal to these officials and lackeys. It was too gruesome, so Evan rarely used it.
But for someone like Spandine, he had no mercy or hesitation.
Evan staggered, exhausted, nearly collapsing.
Boom boom boom!
Countless cannonballs rained down, their urgent whistling followed by explosions that set the Tree of Knowledge ablaze.
“The library! Put out the fire!”
The scholars rushed madly towards the burning Tree of Knowledge. To them, the books and documents inside were treasures more valuable than life itself!
“Evan, take Robin and leave here quickly!” Dr. Clover used his last breath to speak.
“Doctor…” Evan turned back to him urgently.
A cannonball suddenly landed beside Dr. Clover, exploding and scattering his limbs!
Evan gritted his teeth, forcing himself not to look at the bloody remains. He picked up Robin and Olvia and rushed towards the western coast.
