One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 27
The wolf’s howl echoed far and wide, startling the prisoners in the cells of the fifth level.
“What was that?”
“Sounded like a wolf’s howl. Was it the Army Wolves? That’s terrifying.”
In the snowy forest of Freezing Hell.
Evan stood in shock, staring at the scene before him, utterly amazed.
The Army Wolf leader had burst out of the snow, but its limbs were now wreathed in brilliant black flames. It stepped into the air, its silver fur blazing with the black fire, evaporating the snow and grime on its body.
Evan could clearly feel that the black flames were slowly healing the wounds on the wolf’s body.
The wolf leader’s gaze remained as cold as ice. It floated above, surveying the scene below, leaving trails of black flames in the air, turning falling snowflakes into vapor.
“This can’t be an ordinary Army Wolf…”
Evan observed it curiously. Could this be some kind of mythical beast? A creature with magical powers? When did such beings appear in the One Piece world?
As far as he remembered, even the enormous Sea Kings in the ocean didn’t have supernatural abilities like this.
The Army Wolf leader wasn’t going to explain. It charged down with its black flames, transforming into a massive fireball, and descending upon Evan with terrifying power and heat.
“Whoa, that’s not something I can block with my bare hands!”
Before the black flames even touched him, Evan felt the temperature rise dramatically, melting the snow into steam.
“Sizzle!”
Evan teleported away. The black flames hit the ground where he had stood, creating a large crater and sending up a cloud of steam.
“That’s terrifying!”
Hovering in the air, Evan looked in shock at the scene below. The heat from those flames was almost comparable to Sakazuki’s magma.
Whoosh!
The wolf leader emerged from the mist, moving through the air on black flames, its speed now doubled.
“This is bad…”
Evan thought, realizing he had stirred up a serious problem. He needed to finish this quickly before the guards of the fifth level were alerted.
“Spatial Cube.”
Activating his ability, Evan created an invisible, tangible cube under his feet.
He dodged the charging wolf leader using the cube for support, seemingly walking on air.
The black flames grazed his skin, causing a burning sensation. Evan gritted his teeth, stood on the spatial cube, and extended his left hand towards the wolf.
“ROOM: Bind!”
A circular space enveloped the wolf leader, the repulsive force locking it in place in mid-air.
“Howl!”
The wolf leader struggled violently, kicking its limbs and causing the black flames to burn fiercely, turning the confined space into a dazzling black sun.
Evan felt the temperature rising rapidly. The circular space began to distort, unable to withstand the intense heat.
Boom!
The space shattered, and black flames erupted outward, burning the surrounding air.
“ROOM: Barrier.”
Startled, Evan extended another circular space to shield himself. The black flames crashed against the barrier, the heat almost penetrating through.
“Roar!”
A pair of flaming wolf claws struck the spatial barrier, shattering it like glass, sending the black flames rushing in.
“Go!”
Evan teleported behind the wolf leader just before the flames touched him.
Extending his left hand, he opened a spatial wormhole, shouting into it, “Wang Wu, give me a sword.”
Almost immediately, a sword was tossed through the wormhole, accompanied by Wang Wu’s voice, “Evan, when are you coming back for dinner?”
“Busy, later.”
Evan replied, grabbing the sword, closing the wormhole, and standing on his spatial cube.
The wolf leader turned, black flames blazing on its body, leaving only its cold eyes visible.
“Let’s see how you handle this!”
Holding the sword, Evan smiled, his aura growing sharper, exuding a swordsman’s deadly edge.
He lunged forward, turning defense into attack.
The wolf leader roared, black flames surging, rushing to engulf Evan.
“Black Night Style: Night Shine!”
Evan swung his sword horizontally, releasing a black sword energy that split the flames, creating a path.
Whoosh!
The flames were parted, and Evan dashed through, stepping on his spatial cube.
“Take this!”
Evan swung his sword, the sword energy slicing towards the wolf leader’s head.
“Howl!”
The wolf leader opened its jaws, biting at the incoming sword.
Clang!
The black flames and sword energy collided, neutralizing each other.
Evan released the sword handle, watching as the steel blade melted in the intense heat and broke in two.
It wasn’t a legendary blade, and without Armament Haki, it was bound to be damaged.
Seeing the wolf’s cold eyes and the black flames rushing forward to incinerate him, Evan’s eyes narrowed, spreading his hands outward.
“ROOM: Shinra Tensei!”
Centered around him, a powerful repulsive force expanded, pushing everything away.
The black flames halted, and the wolf leader was sent flying, skidding across the air, leaving a trail of black fire, crashing into the snow.
“Sizzle!”
The black flames didn’t touch the snow, but the snow rapidly melted, turning into steam and covering half the forest.
“It’s not over yet!”
Hovering in the air, Evan extended his right hand, creating a light sphere that compressed into a small circular space.
“ROOM: Spatial Nuke!”
Compressing the space to the size of a basketball, Evan controlled the violent energy within, sensing the wolf leader’s position with Observation Haki, and threw the light sphere down.
Whoosh!
The sphere flew through the air, burying itself in the snow.
All was quiet for a moment.
Then, a massive explosion of energy tore through the forest, sending snow flying in all directions, creating an awe-inspiring scene.
“What power!”
Evan’s mouth opened in amazement. He had never tested his new powerful spatial abilities like this.
As the snow settled, Evan returned to the ground.
“Is it dead now?”
Using his spatial ability to scan, he quickly found the wolf leader’s location in the snow.
“Still has a heartbeat. Impressive resilience.”
Evan marveled, amazed at its vitality.
Using his spatial ability, he began to dig the wolf leader out of the snow.
As he cleared the snow, he froze in shock.
“This shape… doesn’t seem right…”
He muttered, continuing to clear the snow quickly.
When he finally uncovered the wolf leader, Evan was dumbfounded.
It wasn’t the massive wolf body he expected but a young girl!
“EXCUSE ME?”
Evan felt like his brain was short-circuiting.
