One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 28
A girl’s partially covered, alabaster-like body was revealed in the snow. Her features were delicate and finely sculpted. She lay unconscious, her eyes closed.
Her long silver hair cascaded down to her waist, scattered across the snow and her body. Her skin was as white as the snow, with a baby-like smoothness.
Evan’s gaze moved from her snow-covered upper body to her smooth, flat abdomen. Her small, cute belly button caught his attention, while her slender, flawless legs, partially covered by snowflakes, were perfectly proportioned.
Evan stared for a while, mesmerized. The cold wind and falling snow on his neck jolted him back to reality.
“Don’t look, don’t look…”
He quickly lowered his gaze, resisting the temptation that made his blood boil, and hurriedly covered her with his clothes.
Evan finally understood that the Army Wolf leader was actually a human, and a very beautiful girl at that.
“She must be a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user, likely a Mythical Zoan.”
Evan was at a loss. Who would have thought a Devil Fruit user would disguise themselves as an Army Wolf leader and survive in Freezing Hell?
“What should I do now…”
He sighed. Since he had injured her, he couldn’t just leave her there.
Considering the commotion he had caused, it would be trouble if a guard came to investigate.
After wrapping the girl in his clothes, Evan left the snowy forest.
Shortly after Evan and the girl left, a figure appeared in the snowy forest.
With menacing horns on his head, Magellan, towering and formidable, surveyed the battleground. The snow had already covered many signs of the fight, leaving only a few large craters.
“Indeed, they must be hiding in the fifth level prison.”
He had rushed here upon receiving the report, but he was still a bit late.
Freezing Hell was vast. Even knowing that prisoners were hiding there, finding them was nearly impossible without tearing the place apart.
Magellan grinned, keeping an eye on the fifth level. He didn’t believe the prisoners would hide here forever.
“You’d better stay hidden for life, or you’ll experience true hell.”
Magellan’s eyes glinted coldly, but he suddenly clutched his backside and dashed away in a hurry.
Back in Impel Down, in the 5.5 level.
Evan used the spatial mark on Crow to teleport back.
“Evan, you’re finally back. Lunch is ready…”
Crow, setting down the dishes, turned around and was stunned silent.
“What are you looking at?”
Evan glared at him. He was only wearing his shorts, bare-chested. The girl he carried was wrapped in his tattered clothes, with parts still exposed, particularly her long legs, which were hard to ignore.
“Oh, oh!” Crow swallowed, quickly turning away, murmuring, “Evan is amazing. Not only is he stronger, but he even had a romantic encounter. Life is so unfair.”
Ignoring him, Evan carried the girl to a separate room.
After some hesitation, he placed two fingers on her chest, feeling her cold, soft, and resilient skin.
Activating his plant tattoo’s life force, he channeled warm energy into the girl’s body.
As the life force entered her, her erratic breathing calmed, and her heartbeat stabilized.
Evan left the room after covering her with a blanket and leaving some clothes by the bed.
He didn’t notice that as the door closed, the girl’s eyes suddenly opened, glinting in the darkness. She touched the lingering warmth on her chest, lost in thought.
“What are you doing?”
Evan saw Crow crouched by the door, looking puzzled.
“Uh, Evan, you’re back so soon?” Crow stammered.
Evan, speechless, kicked him aside.
“Be careful. That girl is very dangerous…”
Evan warned him just as the Night Emperor emerged from another room.
“What’s going on?” The Night Emperor, hearing Crow’s exaggerated remarks, inquired.
Evan briefly recounted his encounter outside and asked, “Master, have you seen the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia? Do you know of any Zoan-type fruits that turn into a white wolf and control black flames?”
“A white wolf with black flames?” The Night Emperor pondered, then replied, “It sounds like the Mythical Zoan, Hellhound Devil Fruit.”
“Hellhound? It’s really a Mythical Zoan?” Evan was puzzled, thinking Mythical Zoans couldn’t transform.
“Yes, Hellhound. It’s said to control hellfire, with top-tier offensive and defensive capabilities, combining Zoan’s beast transformation with Mythical Zoan abilities, comparable to the Phoenix Fruit.”
“Well, it seems I brought back a powerful Devil Fruit user…”
Evan chuckled. Who would have thought a Hellhound user would be among the Army Wolves?
“Having another strong ally is good. When we break out, my old bones might not be much help,” the Night Emperor said, eyes dimming slightly.
“Master, is your body really beyond recovery?” Evan asked, recalling how he had infused life force into the Night Emperor without much effect.
Evan suspected that for someone with an exceptionally strong physique, life force was harder to use for healing.
“Living this long is already good.” The Night Emperor shook his head. “After my defeat, sword energy invaded my body, severely damaging my organs. Forty years have made it incurable.”
“Master, if we can escape, there must be a way to heal you out there.” Evan said confidently, knowing that the world had many skilled healers and even the miraculous Op-Op Fruit!
He was determined to get Law from Doflamingo if necessary.
“Alright. If you can pass on the Black Night Style and let this swordsmanship shine across the seas, I’ll have no regrets even if I die here.”
The Night Emperor patted Evan’s shoulder and laughed heartily.
“But…”
Evan began, but the door to the girl’s room suddenly burst open.
“Damn! I was just bringing food! Spare me!”
Crow dashed out, his arms covered in Armament Haki, black flames clinging to them. He frantically tried to extinguish the flames, but they only grew stronger.
Boom!
In his panic, he burrowed into the ground, disappearing.
The door swung open, and the girl walked out. She was dressed now, looking about sixteen, tall and slender.
She walked on tiptoes, her silver hair flowing, her eyes cold and filled with the danger of the Army Wolves.
She stared directly at Evan, black flames flickering around her.
“Do you want to fight? You’re not my match right now.” Evan waved his hand.
The girl frowned but withdrew the hellfire.
She looked around, saw the spatial hole, and started towards it, seemingly intending to leave.
Evan watched her silently, not stopping her.
As she neared the hole, Evan spoke, “Do you want to become stronger?”
The girl paused but continued walking.
“Do you want to escape Impel Down?”
Evan’s smile widened as the girl stopped completely, as he had anticipated.
“As the Army Wolf leader, you understand the law of the jungle: the strong rule. You lost to me, so now you’ll follow my orders.” Evan smiled, unconcerned, adding, “Of course, you can challenge me anytime. If you win, I’ll follow you.”
The Night Emperor noticed a newfound commanding presence in his usually carefree disciple, a growing desire for control over situations and people.
The girl turned, her icy gaze fixed on him as if imprinting his image in her mind.
Then she spoke, her voice chilling, “One day, I will tear you apart.”
“I’ll be waiting.” Evan’s smile grew wider.
