One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 3
Silence!
Deathly silence!
The pirates surrounding Evan were stunned.
The child they thought was small and weak had just lifted a grown man and smashed him to death!
“Damn it! Kill him!”
The pirates were furious, their eyes red with rage, and several of them fired their pistols at Evan.
Evan quickly grabbed the corpse of the fallen pirate, using it as a shield.
His Diamond Body technique wasn’t yet perfected to the point of being bulletproof, but he knew this world’s low-quality firearms wouldn’t harm him.
As the firing paused for a moment, Evan accelerated, stepping towards two pirates, leaping into the air, and punching out with both fists!
The small fists hit the pirates’ chests, bulging their eyes and collapsing their chests as they were sent flying!
A pirate attempted to bear-hug him from behind, but Evan spun in place, kicking him away with a sweeping kick.
He then brutally punched two more pirates who got close, sending them flying as well!
“Die!”
A tall and sturdy pirate charged at Evan, his face twisted with anger, his right fist aimed straight at Evan’s head.
“Foolish!”
Evan didn’t dodge. He braced himself and responded with an uppercut!
The two fists collided, one small and frail, the other large as a sandbag.
The pirate’s confident smile froze as he felt a powerful force shatter his right hand.
Evan then swept his right leg, sending the pirate flying into the others who were charging at him.
Stepping forward and throwing punches!
The dozen pirates who attacked Evan were all sent flying, creating a shocking scene!
They were no match for him!
It wasn’t that these pirates lacked skill; they were seasoned criminals with battle experience.
But against Evan’s overwhelming technique and power, they were completely outclassed!
The dozen pirates lay scattered on the ground in a short time, their fates uncertain.
Evan showed no mercy; these pirates deserved death!
His hands were stained with their blood, his gaze sharp as he coldly watched the approaching pirate captain.
“I didn’t expect you to be this strong.” Holding a steel sword, the pirate captain exuded a fierce aura from his single eye.
Standing before Evan, the pirate captain’s three-meter-tall frame cast a shadow over him.
“Kid, submit to me, become my subordinate, and I’ll spare your life,” the pirate captain said coldly.
He didn’t care about the fallen subordinates.
“Disgusting!” Evan retorted disdainfully.
“What did you say?!” The pirate captain’s veins bulged in anger.
“I said, you’re trash, absolutely disgusting!” Evan repeated with a smile.
“Kid, I’ll kill you!!!”
The pirate captain’s face twisted in rage as he swung his steel sword down, aiming to cut Evan in half!
The blade whistled through the air, but Evan sidestepped, the sword striking the ground and sending debris flying!
Evan stepped on the sword’s back, leaping into the air, his knee aiming for the pirate captain’s face.
“Smack!”
The pirate captain reacted quickly, blocking the knee strike with his left palm.
Evan felt like he had hit a rock, so he used the force to retreat, staying out of the pirate captain’s reach.
“This big guy is different from the other pirates!”
Evan was a bit surprised.
“Hmph, kid, I’m Gubal, a pirate with a 40 million Berries bounty. I’m not like those weaklings!” Gubal sneered, stepping forward, his sword flashing with deadly intent.
Evan didn’t retreat, meeting the attack head-on with his fists!
In his past life, he was a battle-hardened warrior. After three years of training, finding an opponent he could fight at full strength was a blessing!
Evan accelerated, closing in on Gubal, and struck with precision, targeting his toes, joints, and soft abdomen.
His small frame made it hard for Gubal to use his long sword effectively.
As the fight intensified, Gubal, eyes red with rage, discarded his sword to engage Evan in close combat.
The shore echoed with the sounds of their clash, fists meeting flesh, resonating loudly!
Seeing the unexpected battle on the shore, the pirates on the ship were stunned. They never imagined that a mere child could fight their captain to a standstill.
The seemingly frail fists were matching the three-meter-tall, naturally powerful Gubal, blow for blow!
“Damn it!”
Gubal, panting heavily, glared at Evan with his single, bloodthirsty eye.
He couldn’t believe that a child, no more than ten years old, could take his powerful punches head-on!
Punches that could shatter stones were being easily blocked.
“I will kill you!”
Gubal roared, throwing his fists. Evan ducked and punched Gubal’s thick arm at the joint.
One punch, two punches, three punches… seven punches.
It was enough.
A smile appeared on Evan’s lips.
“Hey, big guy, haven’t you noticed your punches getting slower?” Evan taunted, dodging Gubal’s attacks.
“Haven’t you noticed? Your arms are giving out.”
“You brat, afraid to fight me?” Gubal, desperate and exhausted, couldn’t keep up with Evan’s agility.
“Pitiful, ignorant weakling.” Evan smiled, stopping in front of Gubal.
Gubal was secretly pleased, thinking Evan had let his guard down. He swung his giant fist, aiming to crush Evan’s head!
Evan smiled, not dodging or blocking.
As Gubal’s fist descended, his body suddenly trembled, his arm overwhelmed with unbearable pain!
“What… what is this?!”
Gubal’s single eye filled with disbelief as his punch halted, suspended above Evan’s head.
“The fight is over!”
Evan sidestepped, adopting a shoulder strike stance. He shifted his weight, channeling power through his body, and slammed into Gubal’s chest with tremendous force.
Ancient Martial Art Technique—Mountain Back!
The impact was immense!
Gubal’s three-meter-tall frame was lifted and thrown back several meters, spewing blood, dead!
Evan’s small frame stood tall, exuding unmatched valor and momentum.
His fierce gaze turned to the pirates on the ship.
“He killed the captain!”
“He’s a monster!”
“Run! Set sail quickly!”
The pirates on the ship panicked, scrambling to escape.
“You’re not leaving.”
Evan stepped forward to stop them, but his body suddenly shuddered, pain shooting through his limbs.
Muscles tore inch by inch, extreme weakness flooding him like a tidal wave.
“Damn it, not now!”
He gritted his teeth, struggling to stay on his feet.
The grueling training, the rapid pursuit, and the life-and-death fight with Gubal had pushed his body to its limits.
He had reached the human body’s threshold.
Was this the end?
Watching the pirate ship lifting anchor and lowering its sails, he knew that if the ship set sail, he would have no chance of rescuing Robin in the vast sea.
“Will you save me?”
Robin’s words echoed in his mind.
“I will protect you!”
His promise still burned in his heart.
Of course, this wasn’t the end!
Evan’s trembling body took a step, then another, his vision clearing as strength surged from deep within.
He walked faster, then broke into a run, sprinting towards the moving pirate ship, and leaped into the sea.
“He’s coming after us!”
“Fire the cannons!”
The pirates on the ship screamed in panic.
Cannonballs splashed into the sea around Evan, exploding with deafening roars.
Water splashed everywhere!
Unaffected, Evan swam rapidly, his hands slicing through the water with unrelenting speed.
Another cannonball exploded near him, the shockwave making him cough blood, quickly washed away by the sea.
He was closing in on the pirate ship!
Twenty meters, ten meters, five meters… one meter!
Ancient Martial Art Technique—Eagle Claw!
Evan’s hand formed a claw, his iron-hard fingers striking the ship’s hull.
The sturdy wooden hull splintered like tofu under his assault, his fingers embedding deeply.
Using his claws to climb, Evan leaped from the sea onto the pirate ship.
He stood proudly on the ship’s railing, his body covered in wounds, his clothes stained with blood. But his eyes remained sharp, intimidating every pirate on the ship.
“Monster… he’s a monster.”
Many pirates, legs weak, either knelt or collapsed, filled with fear.
“Kill him, he’s almost done!” One pirate frantically raised a rifle.
Evan darted forward, grabbing the pirate’s arm and snapping it, blood spurting.
“Kneel!” Evan commanded coldly.
Thud, thud, thud.
With their will shattered and fear penetrating their bones, the pirates knelt without hesitation, abandoning their pride and wealth for survival.
After all, staying alive was more important than anything.
The first mate, Augur, quickly untied Robin.
With teary eyes, Robin rushed into Evan’s arms.
“It’s okay now.” Evan comforted her softly, patting her trembling shoulder. “Didn’t I promise to protect you?”
He then looked up, his cold gaze falling on Augur.
“I offer the most valuable treasure of our pirate crew, hoping you’ll spare us.” Augur pleaded.
“What treasure is it?”
“The Devil Fruit.”
Hearing those four magical words, Evan’s pupils contracted slightly.
“Alright,” he nodded. Augur quickly retrieved a small treasure chest from his back and tossed it to Evan.
Evan caught the chest with one hand, feeling its weight—neither too light nor too heavy—and chose not to open it for verification. He knew Augur was too scared to lie.
“Let’s go home,” Evan said softly, turning to Robin. After she nodded, he took her hand and leaped from the pirate ship back into the sea.
With Robin in tow, Evan swam swiftly back to the shore, the pirates on the ship watching in awe and fear, not daring to make a move.
