One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 31
A glimmer of light appeared in the dark tunnel, and the air temperature began to rise. They had reached the fourth level, the scorching heat of the Blazing Hell!
Evan led the way, his cloak billowing as he charged out of the tunnel entrance.
His gaze swept over the area, landing directly on a tall, imposing figure standing by the entrance, seemingly awaiting their arrival.
The man, standing nearly three meters tall, had a body shaped like a demon. He was dressed in a black uniform, with the hem of his coat flaring out like dark wings. He wore a hat with the insignia of a prison warden. His face was somewhat grotesque, with two devilish horns protruding from his head, exuding an aura of fierce authority.
Evan landed on the ground, staring directly at him, instantly recognizing the man.
Magellan, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user of the Venom-Venom Fruit, the warden of Impel Down, is reputed to be the “strongest man in the prison.”
His strength was nearly on par with that of a Marine Admiral!
Thud, thud.
At the same time, Crow, carrying Watuffjè, and Snow, emerged from the tunnel, landing beside Evan. They eyed the devil-like Magellan, preparing for battle.
Especially snow, whose hands had already transformed into white wolf claws. Her innate beastly intuition told her that Magellan’s strength was terrifying.
“Hmm, one, two, three… and four,” Magellan counted, pointing at them one by one with a commanding tone. “I thought you four rats intended to hide in the Frozen Hell forever!”
“Warden, it’s an honor to finally meet you,” Evan said with a smile, stepping before snow and Crow. The most dangerous aspect of Magellan’s venomous abilities was close combat.
“Coming out is simply courting death. Do you think you can escape?” Magellan replied coldly.
“Oh? Didn’t Golden Lion Shiki escape five or six years ago…” Evan responded with a grin.
“What did you say!”
Magellan’s tone turned icy, his grotesque face growing even more menacing.
The Golden Lion’s successful escape had tarnished Impel Down’s reputation! It was the most hated event of Magellan’s career!
For a prisoner to dare mention it in front of him!
A terrifying aura erupted from his body as purple liquid began oozing from his massive frame, dripping onto the ground and swirling upwards.
The ground sizzled as the venom corroded it.
In no time, three massive dragons formed from the purple venom, coiling menacingly above his head, glaring at Evan and the others.
“I will bury you all here!”
Magellan commanded the venomous dragons, readying for an attack.
snow and Crow were on high alert, ready to fight.
“You two, take the master and go,” Evan said calmly. Venomous Devil Fruit users were highly dangerous in close combat.
Magellan was not someone they could easily defeat. If they were delayed here, it would be too late when the Marines responded.
“But…” Crow began to protest.
“Do you not follow my orders?” Evan’s tone turned cold. In this critical moment, Crow had forgotten about the space markers on them.
“Yes!” snow pulled Crow, and Crow quickly came to his senses, nodding.
“Did I permit you to leave!” Magellan waved his left hand, sending one of the venomous dragons hurtling toward them.
“ROOM: Barrier!”
Evan expanded a spherical spatial defense. The venomous dragon crashed into the invisible barrier, splattering venom everywhere, the toxins fiercely corroding the spatial barrier.
“Go now!” Evan shouted at them.
snow didn’t hesitate, pulling Crow along. Hellfire appeared at their feet, allowing them to step into the air, heading toward the tunnel to the third level!
Magellan pressed down with both hands, sending the remaining venomous dragons crashing into the same spot on the spatial barrier. The defense shattered under the intense impact, the purple venom surging forward.
Evan teleported away, dodging the splashing venom. The purple liquid spread, covering a large area of the prison floor, making it untouchable.
He could only stand in the air, on a solidified spatial block, looking down at Magellan.
“Oh? You must be that LEVEL 6 prisoner, Evan,” Magellan said thoughtfully. He had been tracking and monitoring the prisoner who had mysteriously disappeared five years ago.
“That’s right!” Evan nodded, his gaze sharp. He just needed to buy time for snow and Crow to escape from Impel Down.
“I don’t know if you’re foolish or brave,” Magellan shook his head. “Do you think you can stop me by yourself? Or do you believe those few prisoners can break out of Impel Down?”
Evan remained steadfast, “How would I know if I don’t try?”
“Foolish.”
Magellan’s expression didn’t change, his body continuously secreting purple venom, making for a terrifying sight.
“Venom Road!”
Suddenly, he opened his mouth, spitting out a purple venom ball.
Evan jumped to dodge, the venom ball hitting a spatial block and bursting into droplets.
Evan frowned at the venom. It was incredibly dangerous, and once it touched a person, the consequences would be dire.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Several venom balls flew toward him at high speed. Evan teleported to avoid them. The balls hit the prison ceiling, and venom splashed down like a toxic rain.
“ROOM: Barrier!”
Evan expanded his spatial defense, the venom splashing harmlessly against the invisible barrier.
“ROOM: Restraint!”
He expanded the ROOM further, enveloping Magellan’s body. The repulsive force pushed the swirling venom back.
Magellan looked around. Though he saw nothing, an invisible force constrained him, making it difficult to move. Even manipulating the venom became sluggish and resistant.
“Your ability is impressive,” he said, seemingly acknowledging Evan’s strength.
Evan didn’t respond, not pleased with merely restraining Magellan. His brows furrowed.
He sensed through the spatial markers that snow and Crow, who had been moving, had stopped.
If they weren’t betraying him, then it meant they had encountered an enemy on the third level!
“Did you think the strength of Impel Down was limited to just me?” Magellan observed Evan’s changing expression and said calmly, “Impel Down, along with Enies Lobby and Marineford, forms a triad maintaining order across the seas. How could we let you do as you please?”
Evan shook his head, “I believe in them. They can break through any defenses up there.”
“Then you’ll wait in true hell!” Magellan extended his left hand, the purple venom forming a giant dragon. Despite the repulsive force pushing it down, it surged forward, aiming straight for Evan.
