One Piece Space Fruit - Chapter 38
“Crow!”
Snow shouted frantically, but the ground remained calm, with no sign of Crow emerging from beneath.
“Do you think you can survive after being poisoned by me?” Magellan sneered. His black uniform was tattered from Evan’s attacks, revealing the extent of his internal injuries and unvented anger.
“Hmph!”
Snow’s silver eyes gleamed coldly as hellfire engulfed her massive wolf form. The temperature around her soared, distorting the air with intense heat.
“You’ll join him in hell!” Magellan’s body surged with venom as he prepared to attack.
Boom!
The ground exploded, scattering debris everywhere, as a massive black armadillo emerged from the earth.
“Damn, that scared the hell out of me.”
Crow shook off the debris, his body protected by layers of powerful Armament Haki, saving his life.
“You’re still alive…”
Magellan’s forehead veins bulged with rage as he charged at Crow, venom boiling around him.
Ssss!
Evan’s sword clashed with Borsalino’s Ama no Murakumo sword, sparks flying as their energies collided.
Borsalino pushed down with force, the laser sword intensifying as Evan, exhausted, was forced to retreat.
“Radiate!”
Borsalino fired a laser from his free hand. Evan hurriedly created a spatial barrier, but it shattered upon impact, the golden laser piercing his chest and exiting through his back.
“Cough… cough…”
Evan coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth. Although he avoided a fatal hit, his internal organs were injured, blood streaming from his lips.
“Dark Night: Four Nights!”
Evan swung his sword, unleashing black sword energy that split into four, cutting through the air with sharp precision.
Borsalino swung his Ama no Murakumo sword, shattering the four crescent-shaped slashes.
He leaped into the air, raising his light sword high before slashing down, the golden light aiming to cleave everything in its path.
“Dimensional Slash!”
Evan gritted his teeth, extracting every ounce of his strength. His sword, covered in spatial energy, emitted a white glow, forming a crescent-shaped light blade that flew towards Borsalino.
Borsalino’s light sword collided with the crescent blade, but instead of breaking it, the Dimensional Slash cut through the light sword, splitting it in two.
“You cut my Ama no Murakumo sword?”
Borsalino glanced at him in mild surprise but quickly reformed the light sword with his Devil Fruit powers.
Evan, breathing heavily, knew he stood no chance of defeating Borsalino in his current state. But giving up meant losing everything.
“Is this all? Will you surrender?” Borsalino taunted. “Looks like I don’t need to call Sakazuki over.”
Borsalino’s offhand remark sent a shiver down Evan’s spine. If Sakazuki (Akainu) arrived, they would be utterly doomed.
“We can’t wait any longer!”
Evan’s eyes shone with determination. He needed to fight for a chance at freedom.
“ROOM: Confinement!”
Evan expanded a spatial area, creating a force that slowed Borsalino’s movements.
“Oh, are you finally getting serious?”
Borsalino’s eyes sparkled with interest as his body turned into golden light, rushing towards Evan.
“ROOM: Almighty Push!”
Evan released an immense repelling force, pushing Borsalino’s elementalized body away, sending him flying.
In mid-air, Borsalino controlled his fall, a long sword spinning back towards Evan.
Borsalino managed to partially elementalize his body, the sword cutting through golden light and returning to Evan’s hand.
Step!
Borsalino kicked the air, stopping himself. Blood trickled from a cut on his arm.
“A cutting ability?”
Borsalino eyed Evan with curiosity. Wounding an elemental body required special abilities or Armament Haki.
Evan’s face was pale, sweat and blood mixing as he maintained the spherical space.
“Tsk, your persistence is truly terrifying.”
Borsalino shook his head, turning into golden light. His light-speed kick shattered Evan’s barrier, sending a beam towards Evan.
Exhausted, Evan couldn’t react in time. The light-speed kick hit him, sending him crashing into the ground, stones flying as he tumbled.
“Evan!”
Crow shouted, but he and Snow were engaged with Magellan, unable to help.
“Cough…”
Evan, bloodied and battered, struggled to rise. Blood flowed from his mouth, drenching his tattered clothes.
“Still struggling? You’ve done well, given your strength.”
Borsalino approached, golden light gathering in his hand.
“You don’t understand what I’m fighting for!”
Evan’s eyes were resolute as he continued using his spatial abilities.
“We’re fundamentally different.”
Borsalino didn’t care, raising his hand to shoot a laser through Evan’s chest.
Evan’s eyes widened in pain, collapsing to one knee, blood gushing from his chest wound, staining his plant tattoo red.
“Disciple!”
Night Emperor’s heart raced as he tried to help, but Evan stopped him with a wave.
“No matter what, I must leave this place…”
Evan’s determination was unyielding.
“If I stop now, I’ll have nothing left!”
He forced his injured body to stand, the plant tattoo on his chest glowing, supporting him.
“Foolishness…”
Borsalino was somewhat moved. If circumstances were different, he would’ve liked to see what this young man could achieve at sea.
But he couldn’t let such a dangerous criminal escape.
“I’ll remember you…”
Borsalino raised his hand, golden light gathering, its sharp aura filling the air.
“It’s not over yet.”
Evan suddenly smiled, his blood-stained teeth looking ferocious, confusing Borsalino.
Then Evan clasped his hands together.
“Space: Confinement!”
A powerful spatial force enveloped Borsalino, restricting his movements.
“Again? You know this doesn’t work on me…”
Borsalino’s words trailed off as he felt the increasing pressure.
“Cough.”
Evan coughed up blood, but his hands remained clasped, a smile on his face. “I didn’t create just one ROOM…”
Each time Evan took Borsalino’s attacks, he used his spatial ability to create multiple ROOMS.
In Evan’s eyes, three ROOMS surrounded Borsalino, merging into a solid space.
Soon, a dark spherical barrier appeared, trapping Borsalino.
“Multiple ROOMS!”
Evan maintained the space, preventing Borsalino from escaping.
This was his trump card.
One ROOM was too fragile, so he created multiple to strengthen the spatial structure!
The barrier turned black as Borsalino frowned, sensing the danger. He turned into golden light, trying to break free.
“You won’t escape!”
Evan held the barrier steady, making it black.
“Yasakani no Magatama!”
The black barrier trembled as Borsalino attacked from inside, almost breaking it.
Evan’s blood splattered as he maintained the barrier, a crazed determination in his eyes.
“Next time we meet, I won’t be so pathetic…”
“ROOM: Spatial Banishment!”
Evan pressed down, sending the black barrier into a rift, disappearing into the void.
