One Piece Swordsman's Heart - Chapter 45
Seeing Vir’s attitude, Capone Bege wasted no time and transformed his body into a fortress. Several small castle gates appeared on his chest and body, with his men inside, armed with guns and cannons.
Just as Capone Bege was about to order an attack, he suddenly realized Vir had disappeared. Out of the corner of his eye, he vaguely saw a pale blue light, then felt a heavy blow to his head.
When Capone Bege activated his Devil Fruit ability, Vir had already rushed at him. With his right leg wrapped in Armament Haki and electricity, he kicked Capone Bege’s head at a speed he couldn’t react to.
Capone Bege, kicked to the ground, twitched in despair. Who was this person? How could he be so monstrously strong?
Seeing the dual swords at Vir’s waist, Capone Bege realized he was a swordsman. The fact that he had been taken down with just a kick, without Vir even drawing his swords, was terrifying.
Vir slowly walked up to Capone Bege, looking down at the fallen Supernova. Remembering Bege’s arrogance, he stepped on Bege’s head, intending to crush it.
To Vir’s surprise, even with his right foot covered in Armament Haki, Capone Bege’s head only made a cracking sound and slightly deformed but didn’t shatter. It seemed the Castle-Castle Fruit was indeed remarkable, at least preventing a head explosion.
Feeling close to death, Capone Bege, desperate, activated his ability and released all his men from his body, planning to find a chance to escape.
Actually, Capone Bege had intended to release his men as soon as he fell, but the initial kick was too heavy. He had just barely recovered when Vir stomped on his head again. Managing to release his men now showed his extraordinary endurance.
Seeing the room filled with people, Vir activated his full speed and started clearing the minions.
This time, no one in the room could keep up with Vir’s speed. In just over a minute, the ground was covered with bodies—some dead, some injured.
Capone Bege, who had crawled a short distance, gave up completely. Against an opponent of this caliber, escaping had become an impossible dream.
Vir returned to Capone Bege and saw him reaching for the door with his left hand. He stomped on it, breaking it. It seemed the head was still the hardest part.
“Heh, heh, heh, heh. A newcomer who can’t even use Haki, yet so arrogant. In the New World, you’ll at most be a dog for the major powers,” Vir said, stomping on Bege’s head again without waiting for a reply.
Again, there was a cracking sound. Capone Bege’s head remained intact despite two full-force stomps, making Vir doubt his own kicking technique. Maybe being a swordsman was indeed the right path, as his leg skills seemed lacking.
Curious about Bege’s seemingly indestructible head, Vir wondered if it was designed like a castle roof, following perfect mechanical principles.
Determined, Vir stomped again with full force. Another crack, and Bege’s head turned oval but didn’t break.
Vir grabbed Bege’s head, examining it closely, and was thoroughly impressed.
Capone Bege, still conscious, felt like he was in hell, realizing he had encountered a madman. He hoped this madman would just kill him quickly.
But after three stomps, the madman stopped, lifted Bege’s head, and started inspecting it, even knocking on it a few times.
“Kill me. If you have the guts, kill me. No matter how much you torture me today, I won’t yield,” Capone Bege stuttered, then closed his eyes, waiting for death.
For the first time, Vir looked at Capone Bege seriously. Despite his lack of strength and questionable character, Bege had guts.
“Heh, heh, heh, heh. You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that. There’s a saying in my homeland: ‘Three strikes and you’re out.’ I’ll spare you today.
Get stronger, and then come find me for revenge. Killing you now would be too boring. I’ll leave you a mark to remind you to get stronger,” Vir said, drawing his broken sword.
He tossed Bege onto the ground, leaving him lying face up. Using his broken sword, Vir carved a deep W-shaped scar across Bege’s chest, almost covering his entire torso.
Vir then gestured for Bege’s still-living subordinates to take him away. As they left, Bege mustered all his strength to shout:
“I will seek revenge. Just wait. I’ll repay this humiliation a hundredfold.”
After shouting, his terrified subordinates quickly carried him away.
“The wail of a defeated dog. But I’ll be waiting, little Supernova,” Vir said, his tone not angry but rather playful, as if teasing a bullied child.
“Now, shall we continue our conversation, Iron One?” Vir said, casually stacking a few corpses and sitting on them.
Ferdinand, drenched in cold sweat, had known Vir was somewhat crazy in battle but hadn’t expected this level of madness.
Not only did Vir torture a defenseless enemy, but he also let him go, marking him and encouraging him to seek revenge.
Ferdinand tightly held Little Six’s hand, shielding her. Today, even if he died, he wouldn’t let her get hurt. He deeply regretted offending Vir and bringing him here.
Little Six, scared out of her wits, was pale and would have collapsed if not for Ferdinand holding her. She had never seen such brutality, even living on the island her whole life.
Finally, Iron One, who had been silent, spoke.
“May I know your name, sir? And you’re here to forge two swords?” Iron One’s smile was gone, replaced by a serious expression. He understood the young man before him was extremely dangerous.
“My name is Vir, Iron One. Yes, I need two swords forged, but I have some additional requests we’ll discuss later.
If you agree to forge the swords today, I won’t cause any trouble.
If you can forge famous swords, I, Vir, promise to protect your family from external threats. If you encounter powerful enemies, you can contact me.
If there’s a swordsmanship prodigy in your family, they can seek me for guidance.
If you need money, just name your price. For my credibility, you can ask Ferdinand,” Vir generously offered, knowing how valuable top-tier swords would be for him.
“Vir, your offer is indeed tempting, and I’m very interested. If you had come earlier, I would’ve gladly helped. But I’ve sealed my hammer and sworn not to forge weapons anymore,” Iron One said, hinting at refusal.
“Oh? So you’re rejecting me, Iron One?” Vir’s smile disappeared, and he looked at Iron One expressionlessly.
As soon as Vir said this, the other three in the room tensed up, especially the muscular man. Recovering from the earlier shock, he now faced an even greater crisis, and his eyes began to mist.
The muscular man’s sensitive heart disgusted Vir. He turned away, waiting for Iron One’s response.
