One Piece's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 27
Jon’s Ripples was vast, and his Ripple Energy flowed endlessly.
Jon let out a long sigh.
Fighting against foes of such immense stature was truly exhausting.
Fortunately, he had enough endurance~
He was just thinking about how to finish off his opponent.
Suddenly, a voice sounded beside him.
“Hey.”
“Who’s there!”
Jon swiftly turned around, adapting a defensive stance.
“Don’t be nervous.” Saitama waved his hand. “I mean no harm.”
Oh, wasn’t this the Baldy Saitama!
Jon’s pupils contracted.
“Um, I’m Saitama, a passing by hero.”
Saitama stared with dead fish eyes, speaking in a very flat, almost emotionless tone: “You’re quite strong, to take down such a big guy.”
“Nothing special.”
Jon responded very modestly.
Pausing for a moment, he asked, “Why are you here?”
“Just dropping by to say hello.”
Saitama scratched the back of his head. “So, do you need any help?”
Jon was taken aback for a moment, then nodded.
“Of course, I do. I was just figuring out how to kill this giant.”
“Mm.”
Saitama’s expression remained unchanged as he lightly lifted his right leg.
Under Jon’s gaze, he suddenly stomped down.
Boom!!!!!
The shockwave shook the earth, and the ground shattered.
The giant’s head was forcibly embedded into the ground, instantly losing its breath.
Jon: Impressive, this is the man with “immunity to physical damage”, “immunity to magic damage”, “infinite health”, “100% critical hit rate”, “basic attacks count as skills”, and “every strike inflicts fatal damage”.
It’s unbelievable!
Saitama looked apologetically at Jon. “Oops, seems like I went a bit overboard.”
Jon smiled in response.
When you don’t know how to respond, just smile. Smiling never went wrong.
Saitama waved goodbye. “Well then, that’s it. Today is the supermarket’s special sale day, I’ll take my leave.”
With that said, before Jon could reply, he vanished without a trace.
Jon remained silent for a few seconds, then sighed suddenly.
The road to becoming stronger was long and arduous.
Keep moving forward and keep striving.
He opened the system.
Legendary level indeed increased.
He didn’t hesitate and chose to claim the reward.
Suddenly, a warm energy surged into his body.
“Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist”
The signature martial art style of the S-Class hero “Silver Fang”, adept at redirect attacks that were significantly more powerful than the user’s strength.
Though not as comprehensive as the Rokushiki, it had its unique aspects in close combat.
Overall, it was a very good skill.
“Let me see, the next stage legendary reward is ‘Atomic Samurai’s Swordsmanship’. Looks like my Raiu can finally be put to good use soon.”
Jon stroked his smooth chin.
In this world filled with crises, legendary level actually rose quite easily.
Jon pondered in silence; with his current strength, he definitely couldn’t defeat “God” level monsters, but he could challenge “Dragon” level ones.
He was quite adept at dodging after all.
With Color of Observation Haki + his Stand’s ability, he could just run away the moment he encountered any troublesome opponent.
“One step at a time.”
After much thought, Jon decided to join the Hero Association first and then challenged monsters.
Two hours later.
City B, Ice Cream Shop.
“Giant crisis averted, City B saved from disaster!”
“Anonymous hero boldly stepped in, suspected to be a trump card of the Hero Association?”
“After battling for several minutes, justice eventually triumphed over evil, who exactly is this mysterious person!”
“Shocking! The hero who saved City B turns out to be him!”
“Behind the great battle, the reason warms the heart.”
Jon watched the news on the screen with a slight smile.
Exactly, that’s the spirit.
It has been a while since I’ve seen news headlines with such a distinctive flavor of the times.
Just then, the man sitting next to Jon smiled and spoke up, “Young man, you seem quite pleased.”
“Of course, safety is a blessing.”
Jon politely replied.
“Yeah, if it weren’t for the mysterious hero, the entire City B would have been destroyed by that giant.”
The man rubbed his chin, still feeling lingering fear. “That kind of size is just outrageous.”
At his words, Jon nodded in deep understanding.
The atmosphere was quite peaceful, and the man took the opportunity to hand over his business card.
“I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m Nagahashi Taro, currently working as a talent scout. Young man, you’re so handsome and fit, why not sign with our company? I guarantee you’ll become a big hit.”
This miraculous proposal left Jon speechless on the spot.
Realizing, he waved his hands repeatedly, “No, no, I’m not interested in it.”
“Give it some thought, I really believe that with your qualities, it’s a waste not to become an idol.”
The talent scout was quite persistent, sticking to him like a plaster.
Jon couldn’t be bothered to waste his breath and was about to leave.
Suddenly, several unusually expensive-looking black cars stopped outside the ice cream shop.
The car doors opened, and seven men and women in suits and ties quickly got out.
The leader combed back his hair, wearing square-framed glasses, with a solemn expression, not one for jest.
“Sitch!”
Through the glass French windows, the uncle immediately recognized who the newcomers were.
Why would the head of the Hero Association, who often appears on TV, be here?
Thud, thud, thud.
The Hero Association’s entourage of seven walked into the ice cream shop.
After scanning the shop, Sitch’s eyes lit up, striding quickly towards Jon.
“So, you’re here.”
He deliberately used a honorary to Jon.
Jon blinked, “Who are you?”
“I’m Sitch, head of the Hero Association. Thank you for saving City B in its time of peril.”
With that said, Sitch and his six subordinates all bowed to Jon.
This left the talent scout dumbfounded.
Saved City B? In other words, this guy took care of the giant? Wow, the hero was right beside me!
“Are you guys from the Hero Association?”
Jon’s face showed unexpected surprise.
“Yes, we are employees of the Hero Association.”
Although he felt puzzled, Sitch remained composed on the surface. “May I ask for your name?”
Jon straightforwardly replied, “Jon Joestar.”
“Mr. Joestar, are you a foreigner?”
Gazing at Jon’s handsome face, Sitch asked.
“Sort of, about that…”
Jon paused, intentionally leaving him hanging.
Sitch understood.
“This isn’t the place for conversation. Mr. Jonestar, please come with us. We’ll talk in the car.”
Jon didn’t refuse, leaving money for his milk tea on the table and following Sitch out of the ice cream shop.
As soon as the group’s figures disappeared, the talent scout uncle took out a small concealed recording device, laughing excitedly.
“Haha, I’m going to make a fortune!”
As a talent scout, having the skill to secretly record was perfectly reasonable.
‘Jon Joestar’
He truly is his lucky star?
