One Piece's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 47
The five registered disciples each hadtheir own characteristics.
The eldest disciple, Zenitsu Agatsuma, was a timid person with blond hair. His ideal was to live a peaceful life without fighting demons, and he was good at household chores.
The second disciple, Tanjiro Kamado, was strong-willed and has a mature mindset with exceptional physical abilities, especially in his skull development, which was different from ordinary people.
The third disciple, Genya Shinazugawa, had a short temper and is impatient for progress.
The fourth disciple, Inosuke Hashibira, was hot-tempered and keen, with agile physical abilities that allow him to sense dangers others might overlook.
The fifth disciple, Kanao Tsuyuri, was a silent girl who lacked prese ce.
Looking over everyone, Jon reaches into his “Personal Space” and pulled out something.
Bam!
Special wristbands and vests fall heavily to the ground.
He speaks up, “Put these on.”
Zenitsu and Tanjiro were the most obedient. They did whatever Jon said.
After a second of hesitation, Kanao obediently joined them.
Although Inosuke and Genya were reluctant, they had no choice but to comply.
In the end, they all obediently put on the heavy equipment.
Jon nodded in satisfaction.
“Very good. Let’s go.”
Reading ten thousand books was not as good as traveling ten thousand miles.
And traveling ten thousand miles was not as good as traveling ten thousand miles with a heavy load!
Jon and Kagaya Ubuyashiki have already made arrangements early on.
With a signal to the servant, Jon led everyone out of the mansion gate and headed north.
The load they were carrying was heavy, weighing tens of kilograms.
Not even two hours into the journey, the five disciples couldn’t keep up.
Zenitsu and Tanjiro collapsed to the ground.
Kanao’s fair forehead was drenched in sweat.
Even Inosuke, with the best physique among them, was panting heavily and looked exhausted.
Seeing that the time was ripe, Jon claps his hands.
“Now, empty your minds, exhale, inhale, inhale.”
Unlike the Hashira, Zenitsu and the others haven’t even mastered the “Total Concentration Breathing” and must start from scratch.
Following the Jon’s voice, they begin to adjust their breathing, except for Genya.
“Damn it!”
Mr. Annoyed clenched his fists tightly.
Due to his poor innate physique, he couldn’t use Breathing Styles at all.
Jon noticed this but didn’t say much.
After Zenitsu and Tanjiro and the others immersed themselves in the mysterious realm of meditation, Jon walked to a distance and waves to Genya.
“Come over here.”
“Such a hassle.”
Despite what he said, Genya reluctantly went over.
After pondering for a moment, Jon says, “Your physique isn’t suitable for practicing the Breathing Styles.”
“I know!” Genya glares, “You don’t need to remind me!”
Bam!
Jon doesn’t hesitate to give this rebellious teenager a smack on the head.
“Speak properly, and with less hostility.”
Clutching his throbbing head, Genya grits his teeth, looking like a hedgehog too scared to say anything.
After a few seconds of silence, Jon spoke again, “Although you can’t learn the Breathing Technique, I can teach you something else.”
Upon hearing this, Genya was taken aback.
“Something else?”
“A warrior’s path may not be for you. You can only become an assassin. What I mean is, find your opponent’s weaknesses and strike with a single blow!”
Jon’s expression becomes solemn. “Avoiding direct combat is the best way for you. Think about it carefully.”
Genya furrowed his brow deeply.
Jon didn’t rush him.
After a long while, Mr. Annoyed let out a long sigh and respectfully bowed.
“Please teach me!”
People liked polite kids.
Jon smiles. “Then, first cut off your left ring finger.”
Genya: ???
“Don’t look at me like that. I’m just kidding with you.”
People in this world really couldn’t appreciate the charm of hidden weapons.
Jon cleared his throat.
“In any case, let me teach you some basic footwork first. Watch carefully and learn well.”
The following days were filled with intense and boring training.
Zenitsu and the others exhausted themselves practicing the Breathing Technique.
Meanwhile, Genya practiced Soru.
His “Legendary Level” rose again.
Jon gleefully receives “Water Ripple Breathing”.
Similar to “Wind Ripple Breathing,” the new Breathing Technique allows him to manipulate water with his breath.
He could stir up surging waves of a hundred feet if he wanted to.
Jon: I get it now. The essence of Breathing Techniques was cultivation!
Heading north.
The six of them completely left the mountainous area and arrived at a certain town.
The town was bustling.
Zenitsu stared at Jon eagerly, “Big Brother.”
Jon corrected him, “Call me instructor.”
“Instructor, we haven’t had a good meal for many days.”
Zenitsu squeezed out a faint smile and tentatively asked, “Can we…”
“No.”
Jon shook his head and asked back, “Do you want to become stronger, or do you want to remain a weakling?”
I, Zenitsu Agatsuma, dreamed of living a peaceful life, smiling in warmth under the blankets until the end of my days.
Confronted by Jon’s seemingly amused gaze, Zenitsu shivered.
“Of course, of course, I want to become stronger!”
“Oh, then keep working hard.”
Jon waved to the others. “Come on, today I’ll treat you all. Order whatever you want to eat.”
Zenitsu was dumbfounded.
By the time he snapped out of it, Jon and the others had already walked far away.
“Big Brother, wait for me!”
To toughen the six people’s will, Jon didn’t provide any personal space or special treatment along the way. Instead, he chose genuine wilderness survival.
After wandering around the town, Jon found a decent-looking shop.
He intended to treat his disciples to a good meal.
However, they were told that the shop was temporarily closed.
A peddler on the roadside kindly reminded him, “Excuse me, sir, Mr. Yoshida stopped doing business half a month ago.”
Jon frowned.
“Why?”
The peddler was quite talkative and truthfully replied, “I heard that Mr. Yoshida has nightmares every night, dreaming of a shadow staring at him with piercing eyes. Tsk tsk, he looks haggard. In less than half a month, his appearance has changed drastically. It’s quite scary to be honest.”
Nightmares?
Shadow?
It was a typical haunting.
Jon nodded in acknowledgment.
“Thank you for letting me know.”
Turning around, he looked at Tanjiro and the others.
“Let’s go, it’s time to test your combat abilities.”
At the same time, at the Yoshida residence.
“I’ve prepared the ‘offerings’ for you as agreed. Why won’t you let me go!” Taro Yoshida clutched his head in agony. “Please, don’t torment me anymore!”
In front of him, there was a half-blackened iron mirror.
A ghastly demon face appeared in the iron mirror.
“Bring me ten more, I’m still not satisfied.”
Ten more?
Taro Yoshida roared in a low voice, “You didn’t say that before!”
“Hehe.” The ghastly face grinned, “Bring me ten more, and I’ll leave. I promise.”
Taro Yoshida showed a regretful expression and remained silent for a while.
Seizing the opportunity, the ghostly face continued to entice, “Bring me ten more, and you’ll return to a peaceful life. And I will leave forever.”
Hearing this, Taro Yoshida gulped down.
Trembling, he nodded.
“It’s a deal!”
