One Piece's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 54
“With a creak,” the door swung wide open.
Jon smoothly returned to his own world.
“I’m back!”
“Hello?”
“Dad?”
“Mom?”
“Iggy?”
“Is anyone here?”
After calling out for a while with no response, Jon scratched his head in confusion.
At that moment, the slightly balding butler approached upon hearing the sound.
Seeing Jon, he hesitated for a moment, then revealed a heartfelt smile. “Welcome home, Master Jon. You’ve grown so tall.”
Jon’s eyes lit up.
“Grandpa Alfred!”
As a professional butler, John Alfred had served the Joestar family for over twenty years. Jon had practically grown up under the old man’s watchful eyes.
Three years ago, due to health issues, Alfred had reluctantly chosen retirement.
Never did Jon expect to see this amiable elder again.
The old butler appraised Jon from head to toe, smiling. “Long time no see, Master Jon. You’re starting to resemble Mr. Joseph more and more in his youth.”
Jon: ???
Not knowing how to respond, Jon could only twitch his lips.
Suddenly, he remembered something and asked, “By the way, where did my parents go?”
“Mr. Joseph has been busy with work.”
The butler spoke calmly.
“As for Madam, she took Iggy and some friends on a trip to Europe.”
She’d rather take the dog out than her own husband, huh? Mrs. Suzi Q, you really have your ways! Three black lines appeared above Jon’s head.
The butler smiled. “You must be hungry. I’ll go prepare some food.”
“Thank you,” Jon replied politely.
“It’s my duty.”
With that, the butler nodded and left the room unhurriedly.
Jon took off his coat and flopped onto the bed ungracefully.
Comfortable~
With hardly anyone at home, the vast estate felt particularly desolate.
As they sat at the dining table, Jon half-truthfully told his recent experiences to the old butler.
He left out the era and supernatural powers, only mentioning his observations and local customs.
The butler listened, nodding occasionally and occasionally showing surprise.
“Your experiences are truly extraordinary.”
“It’s okay,” Jon swallowed a piece of steak, “I just can’t stay idle at home and always want to go out and about.”
After all, with Joseph’s blood flowing in my veins, cooping up at home was out of the question. Only by wandering around here and there would he be able to barely survive.
“I heard you even attended your own funeral?” the butler teased.
“Oh, that. I sure did. No biggie!”
Jon smiled awkwardly.
“In my opinion, you should settle down and find a girlfriend as soon as possible.”
The butler truly treated Jon as his own child, speaking earnestly. “Master Jon, when I was your age, my children were already one year old.”
“No rush.” Jon waved his hand.
I’ve said it before, women will affect the speed of my punches/sword swings.
The butler looked extremely regretful, sighed softly, “Master Jon, you really should seize the opportunity.”
“Well, let’s talk about that later.”
Jon felt somewhat overwhelmed.
After chatting for a while, he hurried back to his room.
A night passed quietly.
The next day, Joseph still hadn’t returned home.
Jon was puzzled.
What kind of work could keep him this busy? To be honest, whether it’s ‘Joestar Real Estate’ or ‘SPW Foundation,’ the old man was just a figurehead who didn’t do much. It wouldn’t make much difference if he was or wasn’t around. It’s not like he wouldn’t come home for several days in a row.
He rubbed his smooth chin, inexplicably recalling the grandiose words Joseph had blurted out in extreme excitement last time: “I’m going to regain my youth and have another kid!”
Jon shuddered, thinking this didn’t sound good.
Could it be that the ‘rejuvenation’ potion had stirred up the old man’s wild nature inside? So, I was the one to blame for my dad’s infidelity?
“Just in case, I’d better take a look myself,” Jon couldn’t sit still.
Informing the old butler, he drove straight to the headquarters of the ‘SPW Foundation.’
Seeing Jon, the acting head was extremely surprised, “Mr. Jon Joestar, what brings you here?”
“Just call me Jon.” Jon shook hands warmly with the acting head. “Is my father here?”
“Mr. Stada is not at the headquarters,” the acting head replied truthfully.
Not here!
All the bad feelings instantly turned into reality.
Jon forced a smile, “Can you tell me where he went?”
“That’s,” the acting head hesitated for a few seconds, then decided not to hide it.
“We’ve found the whereabouts of the ‘Arrow,’ and Mr. Joestar flew to Japan last night.”
Hearing this, Jon’s eyelids twitched.
The wheel of fate was still rolling forward.
Could this be the choice to break the Stone Gate?
After going around in circles, old man Joseph ended up going to Morioh.
“What’s wrong with you?” Seeing Jon’s expression turn sour, the acting head asked with concern.
“Nothing.” Jon shook his head.
Meeting the concerned gaze of the acting head, he said in a deep voice, “Please prepare a plane for me to Japan. I need to find my father.”
“No problem!” The acting head readily agreed.
The young master rarely spoke, so he had to respect his wish.
In less than fifteen minutes, the private jet was ready.
Without any luggage, Jon boarded the plane directly.
“Old man, you must hold on!”
Japan, Morioh, abandoned house.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.”
The iron chains swayed.
In the attic without a trace of light, Keicho Nijimura, who had just turned twenty years old, stared calmly at the monster in front of him.
“Ugh, ugh.”
The monster reached out with decayed arms emitting a foul smell like rotten cucumbers with a vague cry.
Keicho Nijimura remained expressionless, pushing a plate of mushy food towards it.
The monster immediately rejoiced, burying its head in the plate and eating voraciously.
“Take your time, there’s plenty more.” A hint of sadness flashed in Keicho Nijimura’s eyes.
But soon, the sadness disappeared, replaced by determination and resolve!
Keicho Nijimura gripped the arrow and said word by word, “I will take care of Okuyasu, and make sure that foolish boy grows into a man.”
Pausing, he continued, “And I will figure out the secret of this arrow at any cost. Father, I will set you free, I promise.”
“Ugh, ah.”
As if moved by Keicho Nijimura’s words, the monster with a face covered in mushy substance lifted its head.
Keicho Nijimura felt a hint of discomfort in his heart.
Lost in thought, his left hand accidentally brushed against the arrowhead.
“Hiss.”
Keicho Nijimura exhaled heavily as he wiped away the droplets of blood on the back of his hand.
Suddenly, a little soldier carrying a rifle appeared before his eyes.
