One Piece's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 56
Morioh Town, a villa area in the northeastern part.
It’s such a refreshing morning. Let’s listen to a song that suits this kind of day. Let’s start the morning with this one.”
Accompanied by cheerful music coming from the radio, Yoshikage Kira, who had just graduated from university, skillfully cracked eggs into the frying pan.
Sizzle!
The oil sizzles, filling the air with a delicious aroma.
Yoshikage Kira smiled.
Truly, it was a peaceful and beautiful life.
After breakfast, Yoshikage Kira changed into a suit, grabbed his briefcase, and walked out of the house.
At the doorstep, a few gossiping aunties saw him and greeted him one after another.
“Good morning, Kira.”
“Please don’t dwell too much about your father.”
“Everything will be alright.”
Yoshikage Kira subconsciously glances at the aunties’ hands with a hint of disgust barely perceptible in his eyes.
Suppressing his emotions, he nodded in acknowledgment. “Good morning, Mrs. Yamazaki, Mrs. Inoue, Mrs. Mutou.”
Pausing for a moment, Yoshikage Kira offered an apologetic smile.
“I have a job interview at Kameyu Department Store later. I’ll be on my way.”
“Go ahead, Kira.”
“Don’t mind us.”
“Take care of yourself.”
The aunties waved their hands.
Yoshikage Kira left.
“Such manners. I wonder what the late Mrs. Kira would think. If it were me, I couldn’t bear to hit him.”
“That’s true.”
“Plus, Mr. Kira looks like a pushover from childhood to adulthood. Young Kira must have gone through a lot.”
“First, he lost his mother, and now, his father passed away last week because of cancer.”
The three aunties exchange glances and sigh in unison.
Ah, what an unfortunate child~
Meanwhile,
“Okuyasu, watch over the house.” Keicho Nijimura instructed his younger brother expressionlessly, “I’m going out to buy some food. Don’t let any suspicious people near.”
“Big brother, don’t worry!” Okuyasu Nijimura, who didn’t seem very bright, patted his chest.
Keicho Nijimura smiled slightly. “I’ll say it again, don’t let any suspicious people in, understand?”
“Got it.”
Okuyasu Nijimura raised his right hand and gestured randomly.
“If any bad guys come close, I’ll use the power big brother gave me to get rid of them!”
Hearing this, a drop of cold sweat dripped from Keicho Nijimura’s forehead.
“Try not to use your ability as much as possible.”
“Huh?” Okuyasu Nijimura shows a disappointed expression, “Can’t I use it? I’ve been practicing secretly for so long.”
“No!”
Keicho Nijimura’s tone got high.
“Alright.” Okuyasu Nijimura was dejected.
Keicho Nijimura stared at his brother’s face for a few seconds. The more he looked, the more annoyed he was. He can’t help but take a deep breath and think to himself, “I have to make Okuyasu attends school. He looks ugly, and if he doesn’t study more, he’s doomed for life.”
Keicho Nijimura left with a lot on his mind, leaving Okuyasu Nijimura alone to guard the house.
They call it home, but it was just an abandoned house in the town that nobody wanted.
Okuyasu Nijimura lounged lazily on the tattered couch. Before long, his eyelids started to close.
He didn’t know how much time had passed.
In a daze, Okuyasu Nijimura suddenly heard a knocking sound.
He thought it was his big brother returning, so he eagerly runs to the door and opened it without hesitation.
“Welcome back!”
Suddenly, Okuyasu Nijimura froze in place.
Who are these people?
“Kid, are you home alone?” The redhead young man spokes in a gentle tone.
“Yeah.”
Okuyasu Nijimura nodded foolishly.
“Kakyoin, I’ll handle this.”
The black-haired youth stepped in, calmly pulling back his companion.
Glancing at the distinctive X-shaped mark on Okuyasu’s forehead, he cleared his throat. “Kid, I’m Jon Joestar, your brother’s friend.”
“My brother’s friend?” Okuyasu scratched his head in confusion.
“Your brother and I were classmates in high school.”
Jon silently calculated the distance between himself and the young Okuyasu. He asked softly, “Is your brother home?”
“No.” Okuyasu said honestly, “He went out to buy food.”
“Hey, Jon.”
Behind Jon, Joseph quietly tugs at his grandson’s sleeve. “Isn’t this kid a bit too trusting of others?”
“Hmm.” Jotaro remained expressionless under his hat.
“Not home, huh?”
Upon hearing this, Jon’s smile became even more apparent.
After pondering for a moment, he asks, “Okuyasu, does your brother have a particularly old-looking arrow?”
“How did you know!” Okuyasu’s eyes widen. “And, how do you know my name!”
“I told you, I’m friends with your brother.” Jon stated confidently.
“Wow, amazing!”
Okuyasu lookd up to Jotaro with admiration.
Joseph, Jotaro, and Kakyoin: ???
Kid, you were so easily fooled.
“Since I’m friends with your brother, we’re friends too.”
Jon took out some snacks from his Personal Space.
“Can you let me in and see the arrows your brother collects?”
“But…” Okuyasu hesitates, “My brother said not to let suspicious people in.”
“Do you think I’m suspicious?” Jotaro pushes the snacks forward.
“N-No!”
Okuyasu unconsciously shook his head vigorously.
Joseph watched the whole process, feeling ashamed and covering his face.
Erm, sorry, grandma Erina. My son has brought shame to the Joestar Family’s tradition of being gentlemen for generations.
“You can come in.”
In the end, Okuyasu succumbed to the temptation of snacks.
Jon felt relieved.
If he can obtain the arrow without a fight, that would be the best outcome.
“However…” Okuyasu’s tone changes, “They can’t!”
Joseph and the others were stunned, instinctively looking at Jon.
Jon smiled and took out more snacks from his fourth-dimensional pocket. “Since I’m friends with your brother, that means I’m also friends with you. And since they’re friends with me, they’re also your friends.”
Okuyasu was not smart enough to process this logic. Plus, he was young, so he couldn’t figure out what it all meant.
His head was about to explode from thinking too much, so he gave up trying to understand and pretends to understand, “Oh, I see, anyway, they’re not bad people or suspicious people, right?”
“That’s right, there are no bad people or suspicious people.” Jon affirmed.
Since there are no bad people or suspicious people, it was easy.
Okuyasu happily invited Jon and his companions into the abandoned house.
After settling everyone in the shabby living room, he dashed off.
In no time, the young clever kid brought back an old “arrow”.
“Look, this is my big brother’s treasure!”
