One Piece's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 76
“I intended to refuse, but he offered too much.”
——Giorno Giovanna.
“Gold Experience!”
Giorno placed one hand on his leg and the other on his suit collar, striking a dynamic and elegant pose.
Jon’s eyes lit up.
Not bad… not bad at all, Giorno! You effortlessly pulled off the iconic JoJo pose that I never could!
The healing process naturally need not be elaborated.
Ten minutes later, Polnareff stood up, perfectly healed.
“What an incredible ability!” Polnareff exclaimed, blinking his newly restored eye, “It’s simply unbelievable!”
Hearing this, Giorno barely lifted the corner of his mouth.
No matter how mature, he was still a thirteen-year-old boy inside. Being praised, he couldn’t completely hide his feelings.
But the smile was fleeting, and he quickly turned to Jon with a serious expression, “The agreed upon one billion lira.”
“Sure, sure!”
Seeing Polnareff healed, Jon was in a great mood.
Taking advantage of his height, he wrapped an arm around Giorno and started messing with his ‘donuts,’ “Good job, you did great!”
Giorno’s face instantly darkened, “Let go of me, you bastard!”
It seemed Jon was one of the few who could push the usually polite (and often thieving) Giorno to curse.
Jon laughed heartily, pretending nothing had happened as he released Giorno.
Jotaro, with a faint smile, adjusted his hat, “Yare yare daze.”
At that moment, Polnareff asked, “Jotaro, who are these kids?”
Jotaro hesitated for a second, giving Jon a deep look that clearly meant, “You explain.”
Jon shrugged, speaking lightly, “I’m Jon Joestar from another timeline. That handsome kid over there is Joseph’s youngest son, my half-brother, Josuke Higashikata.”
“Hehe,” Josuke chuckled upon hearing Jon praise his hairstyle.
“And as for this young, fiery-tempered blond kid, well… he’s Dio’s son, Giorno Giovanna.”
Another timeline?
Joseph’s youngest son?
And…
Dio’s child!
Polnareff’s eyes widened with each revelation.
Supported by Josuke, Joseph laughed, “At first, I was as shocked as you are.”
Polnareff scratched his head, “I’m a bit confused…”
But then his expression turned serious, “We can discuss all this later. I have something more important to tell you!”
With everyone watching, Polnareff took a deep breath and addressed Jotaro and Joseph seriously, “The arrow we got from Dio, its true purpose is to awaken Stand abilities!”
The room fell silent.
Giorno and Josuke looked puzzled.
Joseph seemed thoughtful.
Jotaro adjusted his hat, instinctively glancing at Jon.
Jon blinked innocently, spreading his hands in a ‘bear’ gesture, “Don’t look at me, JoJo is innocent, JoJo knows nothing.”
Jotaro pressed his lips together, “The two arrows we obtained in Morioh…”
Halfway through his sentence, Jon rolled his eyes, “Since you’ve already figured it out, I won’t pretend anymore.
Yes, I am the infamous arrow hunter, codename ‘Pangolin!'”
Jotaro’s face darkened, “Be serious!”
“Geez, you have no sense of humor,” Jon retorted.
Polnareff was thoroughly confused.
Why do I feel like…
Jotaro and the others aren’t very surprised?
“Polnareff, we already know the function of the ‘arrows,'” Joseph said, scratching his brow.
“Not only do we know, but we also understand that the ‘arrows’ only awaken Stands in those deemed worthy.”
Polnareff:
So, the secret I guarded with my life is as well-known as Jotaro’s time-stopping ability?
Polnareff’s face fell.
Jon smiled, raising his hand.
Using the wind, the Requiem Arrow hanging by the bed flew directly into his palm.
“Ordinary arrows awaken Stands, but this ‘Requiem Arrow’ is different. It can further evolve Stand abilities.
The perfect form after Stand evolution, I call it ‘Requiem.'”
?Not bad, partner, using Araki’s setting without hesitation!? Little D quipped in Jon’s mind.
Jon ignored it, waving the arrow, “So, who wants to give it a try?”
To others, the ‘Requiem Arrow’ was a reusable quest item.
But to Jon, it was more like a consumable.
One shouldn’t be too selfish.
Drink large bowls of wine, eat big chunks of meat, and share wealth generously.
Share the good times, and share the arrows.
Since they were all comrades, Jon decided to offer the arrow last.
However, neither Jotaro nor Polnareff showed much interest.
Joseph was even less likely to volunteer, given his age.
It was Josuke who seemed eager.
Jon noticed.
He directly handed the arrow over.
Josuke quickly grabbed it.
Unexpectedly, the ‘Requiem Arrow’ bizarrely passed through his hand, falling to the ground with a ‘clink.’
This was a bit awkward.
Jon shook his head regretfully, “Josuke, it seems the ‘Requiem Arrow’ hasn’t accepted you.”
Josuke’s eyes briefly showed disappointment.
But he quickly recovered, laughing, “If it doesn’t accept me, it doesn’t matter.”
Jon smiled in return.
Then he looked at the silent Giorno, “Giorno, want to give it a shot?”
“No!” Giorno refused without hesitation.
“Come on, it’s not every day you get a chance like this. It could make you feel incredible!”
“No!”
“Gold Experience Requiem! Even if you don’t consider yourself, think about your Stand.”
“Refuse!”
“Come on, if anyone can awaken ‘Requiem,’ it’s you.”
“Too suspicious, no way.”
“…”
This kid doesn’t know what’s good for him.
Jon sighed, picking up the ‘Requiem Arrow,’ “My Stand is different from normal Stands. If you pass on this chance, you’ll never awaken ‘Requiem’ in your life.”
Giorno crossed his arms, “Doesn’t matter.”
I, Giorno Giovanna, thirteen years old, a rebellious teenager.
Trick me? Not a chance!
Jon sighed.
In the past, Kong Rong gave up pears; today, I, Jon, offer the arrow.
In the end, it seems I’ll have to take this benefit myself?
I just wanted everyone to be happy…
?Stop the self-pity, get on with it!? Little D urged.
Jon snapped his fingers, summoning his Stand.
Due to the cabin’s size, he had to keep the Stand at a normal size.
“Is this Jon-san’s Stand?” Josuke marveled.
He knew his half-brother had a Stand, but this was the first time he saw it.
Jotaro appeared calm, but he was intently studying the door adorned with the Yggdrasil motif.
?Everyone can see it, so embarrassing (..).?
