One Punch Man King Engine - Chapter 130
“Sir, can you drive a little further?”
While Genos and Mosquito Girl were fighting to the death, King was talking to a taxi driver just outside the Z City Ghost Town. The taxi driver refused to enter the Ghost town due to the fear and rumors surrounding the area.
The taxi driver, with a face full of stubble, replied, “Sir, I really can’t go any further. You’d be better off avoiding that place. There are a lot of Monsters gathered inside. If you go in alone, you could easily lose your life.”
King said helplessly, “If you go in with me, I won’t be alone!”
The taxi driver adamantly shook his head. “Sir, as the Monster alarm in the city said, there was an ongoing Demon-level disaster. They told us not to go out as much as possible. Even carrying you here was too much risk; I can’t go any further.”
“I’ll add one hundred.”
“No.”
“One thousand.”
“It doesn’t matter how much money I have if I’m not alive to spend it.”
“Ten thousand.”
“Get out of the car. I fear that I would actually be tempted if you add more money.”
Boom!
The taxi engine roared as it turned around and left with lightning speed, turning at the intersection with perfect elegance. One could tell from a glance that he was a man with a story.
“Ah, I finally understand today. Money is not everything.”
King watched helplessly as the taxi disappeared around the corner of the street. He then turned to look at the silent Z City Ghost Town. His scalp felt a little numb. Ugh, he forgot to wash his hair last night.
“I wonder if Saitama is home?”
This time, in addition to his usual cap and jacket, he equipped a small backpack with the new camera in it. His objective, of course, was to capture Saitama’s shameful moments as he ran buck naked across the city.
Speaking of shame, Sitch was too shameless. He found out that I was in Z City and called me to deal with the mosquito disaster. Oh well, it doesn’t matter. Saitama would deal with Mosquito Girl no matter what; she won’t even be able to scratch him. I just have to quietly sit and eat popcorn on the sidelines…it seems that I always eat popcorn whenever something happens. Really makes you think.
Rumble!
While he was thinking about Saitama’s whereabouts, a massive ball of fire erupted some kilometer in front of him. A mushroom cloud rose into the sky, scorching everything in hundreds of meters radius.
King’s eyes lit up. He clapped his hands and said with a smile, “Great! I know where Saitama is now.”
If his memory was correct, that fireball must be due to Genos and Mosquito Girl fighting. Saitama was also caught in the battle and lost his clothes.
“Let’s go film Saitama’s public indecency! Ugh, Genos’ Incineration Cannon temperature is so high; I can still feel the heat from a kilometer away. It’s almost as hot as Texas.”
…
“Who is he?”
Genos frowned. He stared at the person with a shining bald head, who was chasing after a mosquito with a spray can in his hand. The bald person’s face was flustered and exasperated. He wore a yellow short-sleeved shirt, yellow shorts, and indoor slippers. His appearance looked completely ordinary—except for his very eye-catching head.
Yes, that person was none other than Saitama, who lived nearby. He had been locked in battle with the mosquito for three hundred rounds, chasing it out to the street. So far, there’s no decisive victor yet.
Pssst!
Saitama sprayed the insecticide can at the mosquito, but he accidentally got some of it in his mouth instead. “Ptui, ptui, ugh, it got in my mouth, ptui!”
He spat on the ground several times, making sure that no insecticide remained in his mouth. He then looked around for any trace of the mosquito bastard—only to find a black storm formed by thousands of mosquitoes in the air.
“Eh? Something is moving? Hey, wait a minute, the mosquito… those are all mosquitoes?!” He widened his eyes, completely stunned. It was as if he could feel the malice of the world. He couldn’t even beat a single mosquito, but now thousands of them were in front of him.
This is impossible!
Genos looked at the “scared” Saitama and confidently told him off, “Hey, civilian, go hide right now!” He pointed at the mosquitoes in the sky. “Those mosquitoes have a mind of their own. Once they discover you, they will immediately rush over.”
“No, it can’t be, right?” Saitama’s face was full of panic, “This is bad; quickly run…”
“Kuhahahaha!”
Before Saitama and Genos could make their move, Mosquito Girl’s evil laughter suddenly came from the black storm. The black storm then dropped from the sky like an avalanche, flooding the streets and burying Saitama and Genos.
Buzz!
The streets turned into black rivers densely packed with mosquitoes, drowning Saitama and Genos entirely.
Rumble!
The surrounding buildings collapsed one after another under the mosquitoes’ “current,” and thunderous explosions filled the air.
“Burn!”
A cold voice slipped between the rumble of collapsing buildings.
Boom!
A fiery red light suddenly flashed within the black torrent formed by the mosquitoes. It spread out layer by layer and finally replaced the black torrent with its lava-like blaze, erupting like a volcano explosion. Everything within hundreds of meters’ radius was scorched by the cleansing flame.
The wind blew the smoke and ashes away.
Genos’ remaining right hand kept the Incineration Cannon aimed at the sky. He glared at Mosquito Girl, his tone calm and a little sarcastic, “I thought that because you could speak human language, your intelligence must be the same as a human. However, I guess insects were just insects in the end. It was convenient for me that you gathered the mosquitoes to be burned all at once.”
He put down his arm. “When I found you, I confirmed that there were no creatures within a radius of five hundred meters. That’s why I can fight freely and unleash the full power of Incineration Cannon to quickly eliminate you—huh? Wait a minute.”
His heart skipped. He recalled that someone had suddenly entered the battlefield just moments ago. The eye-catching baldie. Regret and horror entered his face. “Oh no, I was careless! I accidentally killed a person!”
“Oh, I’m saved!”
A relieved voice suddenly came from behind him.
“Huh?”
He turned to look at Saitama in shock. He actually survives my full-power Incineration Cannon? That’s impossible!
Saitama revealed a harmless smile and looked at Genos curiously. “You are really amazing. What was that move just now? Raid cannon? Haha, I was just joking. Don’t mind it.”
Genos stared at the naked Saitama in disbelief. He didn’t know what he was more surprised by; the fact that Saitama survived his Incineration Cannon or the size of Saitama’s own “Incineration Cannon.”
On the other side, Saitama didn’t seem to feel any shame or embarrassment from being naked in front of Genos. It seems that wearing clothes or not held no difference for him. His mind was instead filled with Genos’ Incineration Cannon.
He muttered to himself, “If I had that kind of move, I wouldn’t have to go through so much trouble against mosquitoes in the future. I envy him for having the ultimate mosquito-killing technique!”
