One Punch Man King Engine - Chapter 133
King was woken up by Sitch’s phone call early in the morning.
“Hello, Sitch. You found a new residence for me? Well, okay. I’ll check it out when I get back to M City. Hmm? What? You want me to join the Heroes task force to find the billionaire Jasmine in Z City?”
King’s mouth twitched. It was the same fucking routine. He baited me by telling me about the new house and immediately changed his tone to ask for help.
“I don’t have time. I need to destroy this evil organization, the House of Evolution.”
He refused without a second thought. He still wanted to drag Saitama to beat up House of Evolution. Why should he miss out on that to find some random billionaire?
“King, the House of Evolution isn’t going anywhere; you can destroy them anytime. However, Director Jasmine is in danger right now. Director Jasmine is very important to the operation of the Association. I beg you to participate in the rescue operation and save her as soon as possible.”
Unfortunately, King had a terminal case of soft heart. He couldn’t help but agree after being begged by Sitch, even though he was weak and didn’t have any useful skills to solve the crime. He could only use intimidation to deter rash actions from the enemy.
“We’re meeting up at the Heroes Association Z City Branch? Got it.”
King hung up the phone. He recalled that the only reason he was in the Z City at all was to find Saitama and destroy the House of Evolution along the way. It seemed that he had no time to do either of that right now. Well, it doesn’t matter. Even without his intervention, the House of Evolution would provoke Saitama and trigger their own downfall.
According to the anime, there should be several days between the mosquito disaster and the attack on Saitama and Genos by the House of Evolution. The attack destroyed the ceiling in Saitama’s apartment, which enraged him and resulted in the destruction of the House of Evolution. Hey, maybe King could still make it! Revenge could wait; what’s important is to collect Cards from Monster corpses. King practically drooled at the thought of getting Carnage Kabuto’s Card, a Dragon-level Monster.
“I can’t visit Saitama, so I should send the gifts through the post office.”
He rummaged in the pile of gifts and took out a postcard. He grabbed a pen and wrote,
“My dear Saitama, thank you very much for saving me from danger from time to time. I should have come personally to thank you, but unfortunately, I have responsibilities that I cannot avoid. I will definitely treat you to hot pot when I have the chance.
By the way, I have sent you a lot of gifts. I heard that Heroes are often lonely, so I sent you some adult magazines you need and some tissues. Remember to wipe them clean after you are done; hygiene is very important. Well, Heroes are diligent people, so there shouldn’t be any problem there.
Don’t worry too much about your baldness. Beautiful and magnificent hair like mine isn’t really worth bragging over. You should eat a lot of cabbage and spinach that I sent to you; they would help with hair growth. When your hair finally grows in the future, use the ginger to wash your hair and keep them healthy. Once again, I thank you for saving my life many times.
Signed: A handsome man with hair!”
King looked at the postcard he had just written in satisfaction. He turned around and started packing the gifts before giving them to the food delivery guys downstairs and asking them to send them to Saitama’s house. Food deliveries were much faster and more reliable than regular post office for this kind of thing.
The food delivery guy hesitated when he heard that the address was in the Ghost Town but eventually agreed under the temptation of money. The viciousness of the Z City Ghost Town was mostly just urban rumors proliferated by the Heroes Association’s publication, the Hero Catalog. The normal populace had barely seen any evidence of Monster infestation in the area.
After solving the issue of Saitama’s gift delivery, King returned to the hotel to check out. He put on his cap, jacket, and small backpack. He carried Saitama’s high-definition video along to the Heroes Association Z City Branch, where he would meet the other members of the Heroes task force.
According to Sitch, the task force was mainly comprised of S-class Heroes. One of the Association brains – Child Emperor, the old and strong martial arts master – Silver Fang, the abnormal prison boss – Puri Puri Prisoner, the second member of the Strongest Baldie Party – Superalloy Darkshine, and King. This lineup would be an overkill in most situations. The raw strength gathered in these members would be enough to flatten any evil organization.
I heard that the Association originally wanted to call Watchdog Man to find the missing person with his sensitive nose. Unfortunately, the love of Watchdog Man’s life is only the Q City. He doesn’t care about beautiful women like Jasmine. Well, she wasn’t a female dog, so I guess she won’t be beautiful in his eyes.
They also called Flashy Flash—the S-class Hero who could “finish” a hundred times in a second. His astonishing speed would help tremendously in saving the hostage, but he wasn’t interested in this kind of tiring Heroes activity. He flatly rejected Sitch.
In addition to S-class Heroes, the task force also had the rank 36 A-class Hero Chain’n’toad and the rank 43 B-class Hero Gun Gun. Chain’n’toad’s Kusarigama could restrain enemies from a distance. Gun Gun’s ultimate ability, “Joint Shooting,” allowed him to perform precise sharpshooting with his two revolvers at once to either incapacitate or kill the target.
In other words, the Heroes Association made a big fuss to rescue Jasmine.
The Z City Branch of the Heroes Association was located in the city center, with a lot of traffic around it. Naturally, this caused a traffic jam. King was trapped in a taxi to the Association Branch office for three hours.
He sent the taxi driver away and pulled his cap to cover his face while walking into the office. He grasped the general layout of the office building with several glances.
A black sculpture stood in the middle of the hall. It depicted a muscular man, vividly displaying his bulging muscles.
Silver Fang and the others had already arrived. They separated into smaller groups, busy with their own worlds. Bang and Child Emperor, the oldest and the youngest, were enthusiastically talking to each other. The damn pervert Puri Puri Prisoner was admiring the muscular man sculpture with great interest. The only two Heroes that weren’t S-class, Chain’n’toad and Gun Gun, were standing at the side, trembling with fear at the powerful S-classes.
These were S-class Heroes. Any one of them has enough strength to utterly crush them.
“Ah, he’s here.”
Puri Puri Prisoner, who had a keen sense of smell for men, turned at the door right as King entered. His eyes suddenly lit up with unquenchable thirst.
“Hey, King.”
“Uncle King —”
“Mr. King.”
Bang and the others greeted King one after another.
Chain’n’toad and Gun Gun stared at King with wide eyes. This was the strongest man in the world. Sure enough, the main characters were the last to appear.
(King: Main character my ass, I was just stuck in a traffic jam!)
“Hello.”
King waved his hand and glanced at everyone. When he found that Superalloy Darkshine was not here, he asked doubtfully, “By the way, hasn’t Superalloy Darkshine arrived yet?”
“Eh?”
The room suddenly became silent. Bang and the other pointed at the muscular sculpture in unison. “That’s him right there.”
“Huh?”
King turned to the sculpture, shocked. Was that Superalloy Darkshine? His entire body was black, with the luster of polished metal. His bulging muscles were reminiscent of polished marble. At first glance, he really was a perfect sculpture.
“Everyone is looking at my perfect body. That’s right, everyone is staring at my strong muscles!!”
Superalloy Darkshine, who was showing off his muscles, was overjoyed when he saw everyone pointing at him. “Aha!” He tilted his body slightly and held his left hand with his right hand, exerting slight force to showcase his biceps.
“Oh, he really is Darkie.”
The sculpture’s movement finally convinced King that it was Superalloy Darkshine, a Hero that was strong on the outside but weak on the inside.
