- Chapter 12 - Huge Rewards, Golden Treasure Chest!
At nighttime, at the temporary encampment set up by the Garrison Regiment,
Gazing at the bright night sky, Fang Bo suddenly craved a cigarette, though he wasn’t sure if the body’s original owner was a smoker.
Perhaps it was due to the Reincarnation Space’s interference, but after absorbing the soul, the memories in his mind were fragmented and of little use.
“Forget it, better not think about that now.”
Commander Pixis had agreed to his request but had assigned him a helper in the end.
Hunting Titans was a serious matter, and no mistakes could be tolerated. Therefore, a powerful helper who wouldn’t arouse suspicion was arranged.
“It’s about time.” Mikasa emerged from the shadows, looking somewhat downcast.
Although she wasn’t good at expressing emotions, she cared for her fellow comrades, and hearing this news was understandably upsetting.
Seeing her low spirits, Fang Bo decided to use his eloquence to encourage this Ackerman warrior.
“Are you worried about the situation over there?” Fang Bo smiled familiarly, pressing his fingers to his forehead and whispering devilishly, “I’ve always thought Eren might have special feelings for Annie. I wonder if he’ll be able to do it.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Fang Bo saw the murderous look in Mikasa’s eyes, her expression a clear warning to shut up or be killed.
In that instant, his sensory ability warned him frantically, and Fang Bo wisely closed his mouth.
Thanks to his “encouragement,” Mikasa’s fighting spirit surged, and she seemed ready to rush out and decapitate Annie.
Satisfied with her renewed resolve, Fang Bo focused on the bonfire party in the distance.
Humanity had its first victory against the Titans, a significant triumph worth celebrating.
The celebration also cleared the camp, minimizing casualties if something went wrong.
Bertholdt, worried about Reiner and Annie, wasn’t in the mood for any celebrations. Besides, he had kicked the hole in the wall.
Fang Bo had meticulously accounted for everything. Now, it was time for the final step: the hunt.
“After the mission, how about a dance with me?”
Mikasa ignored him and walked straight into the tent.
Hearing the conversation outside, Bertholdt suppressed his worries and looked up at his companion entering the tent. “Jason, you’ll be disappointed. If Mikasa dances, it’ll be with Eren.”
It was well-known that Mikasa had feelings for Eren. Normally, she would have renounced, but today she remained silent.
Bertholdt found this strange, but his attention quickly shifted elsewhere.
Sitting across from Bertholdt, Fang Bo drew his long knife and wiped it, seemingly casually saying, “And you, Bertholdt, do you want to invite Annie to dance?”
“No, I don’t, I mean, we’re just friends…”
Bertholdt, flustered by the exposure of his secret, started awkwardly explaining their pure friendship.
However, Fang Bo’s following sentence sent Bertholdt into a complete frenzy.
“Too bad, Annie wanted to ask you herself. Right, Mikasa?”
Bertholdt quickly turned around, his eyes alight with hope. “Really, Mikasa? Did Annie really say that?”
Suddenly, Bertholdt’s words halted. He saw Mikasa’s icy, murderous gaze, and the gleam of steel reflected in her eyes.
Before transforming, Marleyan warriors were just slightly more potent than average humans. A critical hit to a vital area could quickly leave them near death.
Perhaps their recovery ability was strong but required transmitting the “command” through the central nervous system.
Fang Bo’s strike was precise and ruthless, severing the spinal cord. The poor Bertholdt lost control of his body instantly.
Watching Bertholdt collapse, Fang Bo mercilessly raised his blade, giving no chance for pleas.
One blow incapacitated, the second killed. The Colossal Titan, with its nuclear-like destructive power, fell.
Killing a vital plot character increased worldline distortion!

Legendary Trait (Heart of Steel) activated, +5 health
Despite the barrage of alerts, Fang Bo’s eyes burned with excitement.
A golden treasure chest! Though he didn’t know the exact value, it had to be much better than a white one.
As for the hostility of the Marleyan warriors, he had already killed one. Their feelings didn’t matter.
Fang Bo wasn’t particularly egotistical. He preferred not to be disliked, and if that couldn’t change, he’d kill those on the list and remain the well-liked Jason.
Fang Bo, eagerly rubbing his hands, didn’t realize the significance of the golden chest. Throughout the long history of the Reincarnation Space, few had ever obtained a golden chest during a trial mission.
The advantage of foresight was even more astounding than he imagined.
As Mikasa brooded alone, Fang Bo immediately opened the chest.
Any sound equipment or skills could aid his actions with a major battle ahead.
You are opening a Golden Treasure Chest.
You received 500 plot points.
You received the Colossal Titan’s Bloodline Potion.
You received 3D Maneuver Gear Mark IV
You received Sauce Steak x3
Each item was a treasure that would quicken anyone’s breath.
Five hundred plot points were an incredibly generous reward.
An entire plot world’s arduous efforts typically yielded less than four hundred plot points without hidden tasks.
A golden chest doubled the earnings.
However, compared to the following items, the plot points seemed ordinary.
Colossal Titan’s Bloodline Potion: B-grade grants the trait “Titan Transformation” upon use.
A reincarnator could transform into the Colossal Titan within the space with this potion.
The thought alone was terrifying.
