Only I Know the Plot of the Anime World - Chapter 14
Killing Bertholdt brought Fang Bo unimaginable benefits.
It would be a huge step forward if he could take down the Female Titan in front of him.
“She’s lost a leg, limiting her mobility.”
“Eren is suppressing her, and Mikasa is watching from above. The Female Titan’s attention shouldn’t be on me.”
“I can do this. Strike before she realizes.”
Gas burst from his gear, power at maximum, as Fang Bo closed on the nape of the Female Titan’s neck.
He could almost see the golden treasure chest waving at him.
But then, a massive hand appeared out of nowhere, and Fang Bo only realized it when it was right in front of him.
“What the…”
He didn’t have time to dodge, only managing to curl up to reduce the impact area.
Fang Bo couldn’t understand why his usually reliable perception had failed.
“Remember, perception isn’t infallible. It’s useful but not something you should depend on,” the guide said, echoing in his ears. He finally understood their meaning.
If there’s a significant attribute difference, perception doesn’t work. It can be deceived or even misled.
This was Fang Bo’s biggest mistake since entering the plot world.
In a place full of danger, mistakes usually cost dearly.
Boom!
He was swatted away without suspense, the force so great that he bounced several times upon landing.
You received 44+8 points of crushing damage from the Female Titan’s slap.
You are stunned and temporarily unable to control your body.
You suffered severe internal injuries, losing five health points per minute.
Without the health bonus from Heart of Steel, he would have been killed instantly.
It was a hidden mission; despite all the winning factors he had gathered, one misstep could still cost him his life.
Fang Bo was temporarily incapacitated, but that was okay. The situation didn’t require his effort anymore.
Annie couldn’t escape Eren’s entanglement, and Reiner was worse off, with no chance of victory against Levi alone.
So what if he was hard to cut?
It just meant needing to cut more.
From the moment Eren was awakened, the hidden mission was already completed.
Hidden Mission: Traitors Deserve No Mercy (Completed)
Calculating results… Generating rewards
As this is your first time completing a hidden mission, select one extra reward.
Based on your contributions, choose three rewards from the following options:
Option 1: Gain 1000 plot points
Option 2: Gain Basic Grappling Scroll Lv5
Option 3: Gain ten merit points (rare)
Option 4: Gain Perfect Restoration Potion (rare)
Option 5: Gain Equipment “Irreversible Homeland” (rare)
A choice of three out of five was excellent.
Seeing the “rare” tag, Fang Bo selected the equipment without hesitation.
When he received it, he realized it was a necklace, and its attributes far exceeded his expectations.
“It was worth the trouble.”
For the second option, he deliberated before deciding.
Perfect Restoration Potion: Restores 100% of mental and health points, usable in combat.
Having this was like having an extra life, a no-brainer.
As for the final reward, he dismissed the grappling scroll. His strength and agility weren’t high enough to use it well.
Merit points were marked as rare, indicating their significance, though he didn’t know their exact use.
In comparison, the 1000 plot points were very tempting. With them, he could fully equip himself.
“Screw it, I’ll gamble.” He trusted the space’s judgment over plot points.
If it’s rare, it must be helpful. The space wouldn’t make something useless just to deceive him.
Stowing the rewards in his wrist tattoo, Fang Bo struggled to turn his head, watching Eren approach Reiner.
Thanks to Fang Bo’s earlier “encouragement,” Eren was in a frenzy, seemingly intent on devouring Reiner whole.
Levi hurried over to stop him, albeit a bit roughly, leaving Eren covered in blood.
“That damn shorty,” Mikasa muttered angrily but knew tending to Eren was more critical.
Despite the difficulties, they had successfully exposed the hidden traitors.
Amid the collective roars of anger, Fang Bo’s figure gradually faded.
Fang Bo sat in a chair in an empty room, focusing entirely on the task completion screen.
Plot Scenario: Attack on Titan
Mode: Peace Mode
Difficulty: Easy
Worldline Distortion: 26.85%
Completion Rating: S
Task Rewards: 3 attribute points, six merit points, 600 plot points
“Wow, that’s unexpectedly high,” Fang Bo was surprised.
He made minimal contributions to the third primary mission, expecting a lower rating.
The hidden mission likely boosted his score, and the worldline distortion played a part.
There were many mysteries about this place, and he believed someone could provide answers.
He opened the room door and passed through a membrane-like portal, stepping into a bustling plaza.
It felt like a night market, with stalls lining the road on both sides.
“Newbie guide available! Learn all you need about the space.”
“Alchemical potions on sale! Quality guaranteed!”
“Forming a team for Sword World, need a healer.”
“Top-notch blades crafted at the Forge. Hold one, and solo bosses with ease.”
“Chain Quinque for offense and defense, a must-have for plot completion.”
“Recruiting for Blade Squad. No slackers with less than three plot completions.”
Fang Bo wandered around like a curious child, captivated by the beautiful Quinque from Tokyo Ghoul.
The Quinque required mental power to activate, which was perfect for his style. Fang Bo seemed unlikely to pursue a melee route.
Mainly since he had just acquired a fantastic necklace.
After browsing for a while, he arrived at a stall selling information.
“Boss, give me a newbie guide.”
