Only I Know the Plot of the Anime World - Chapter 26
Braku, the deck.
“Hey, kid.” A huge, fat man walked over. He was Buji, a ship combatant known for his immense strength.
Besides this guy, Braku also had another combatant, Sam, who was incredibly fast. None of the reincarnators could pass his test.
These two might look honest, but they were extremely cunning, always scheming to overthrow Captain Kuro.
“Morning.” Fang Bo greeted him casually, showing no sign of anything unusual.
Over the past few days, he had become familiar with the crew, but unfortunately, Captain Kuro always locked himself in his room, making it impossible for Fang Bo to get close.
The fat man leaned against the ship’s railing, staring into the distance and mumbling, “The world thinks we’re dead. We need a hard fight to prove them wrong. It’s coming soon; we all need to be ready.”
His words were vague, but Fang Bo understood his meaning.
The humiliation of their pirate crew’s defeat had to be washed away with victories, which showed all of East Blue that the Black Cat Pirates were not defeated.
This meant there would be a series of fierce battles ahead, and waiting leisurely for the mission to end was not an option.
Fortunately, reincarnators never feared battle. Without the clash of guns and fire, they couldn’t obtain the wealth that surpassed others.
Fighting wasn’t an issue. Fang Bo was concerned about Captain Kuro. If his guess was right, Kuro had probably escaped after being defeated by the pirate admiral.
It wouldn’t be long before the “Kuro’s Retirement” event would trigger, offering a hefty reward.
But Fang Bo’s ambitions went beyond this. He wanted to help the captain defy fate and avoid being defeated by Straw Hat Luffy.
The rewards would be enormous if he could help the Black Cat Pirates defeat the pirate admiral. To do it, he had to understand the upcoming mission process.
At this moment, most reincarnators had joined various factions, working hard to gain reputation and contributions. Fang Bo, however, was diligently trying to learn hypnosis.
Not by relying on scrolls or learning skills but by constantly asking the storyline characters for advice using his official crew member status.
Zango, who was often idle, didn’t mind giving him some pointers. With his excellent mental attributes, Fang Bo was making decent progress.
At least when he was serious, the swinging pocket watch could already affect ordinary pirates.
Continuing at this pace, he estimated he could soon master real hypnosis, though reaching Zango’s level would take much more time.
After watching the fat Buji leave, Fang Bo turned and saw a fleeting figure in the corner.
Smiling mysteriously, he knew someone was getting restless.
Fang Bo continued practicing hypnosis by patting the Black Star at his waist. Then he saw a man with slicked-back hair in a suit standing on the second-floor balcony of the captain’s cabin, looking down at him.
Thick glasses couldn’t hide his cold eyes, as if nothing was worth his attention.
He was Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates, with a bounty of 16 million.
“Finally showing yourself.” Fang Bo bowed slightly, then walked to the other side of the deck.
He knew the peaceful days were over, and the Black Cat Pirates were about to embark on a bloody journey.
“Set sail.” Kuro gave a simple order and then jumped down from the balcony.
Despite Fang Bo’s sharp senses, he didn’t hear Kuro’s landing, as if someone had erased the captain’s footsteps.
After a cold glance and a comment, “I expect great things from you,” Kuro walked to the bow of the Braku.
Seeing this, Fang Bo returned to the cabin to prepare for the upcoming battle.
Shells Town, Marine 153rd Branch.
“I said no!” Lieutenant Commander Rippa clenched his pen, almost wanting to stab the idiot before him.
His trusted subordinate, Captain Morgan, had recently died in a remote area.
Without capable subordinates, he would lose his chance to compete for the base commander position unless he could avenge and personally bury the Black Cat Pirates.
Yes, the one who killed Captain Morgan had joined the Black Cat Pirates, and many colleagues were waiting to see his failure.
The reason? The pirate forces were strong, and the 153rd Branch alone couldn’t match them.
Frustrated, he heard his subordinates planning to lead a team to attack the Black Cat Pirates.
Was this a joke?
If they had the capability, Rippa would have captured the pirates long ago and hanged them in the square.
“Get out and remember your duties.” Rippa was furious.
Morgan left the office dejectedly, hearing his superior’s curses, not understanding Rippa’s cowardice.
Why couldn’t the righteous Marines eliminate the evil pirates?
“This world shouldn’t be like this.” Morgan’s eyes grew determined.
Axe Emperor Morgan had once been an enthusiastic youth but later became traumatized after a failed attack on the Black Cat Pirates. Hypnotized by Zango, he changed, believing that the powerful were the greatest in the world.
He became like a Celestial Dragon, a typical example of shattered confidence.
He still had high regard for the Marines, so when his superior refused, he decided to act privately.
While Morgan was rallying his men, a girl with pink hair approached. Her smile was charming enough to make Morgan nervous.
“Captain, where are you heading?”
Somehow, Morgan blurted out all his plans.
Hearing about his intention to attack the Black Cat Pirates, the girl’s expression turned serious, “Pirates are indeed a scourge. I’ll plead with Lieutenant Commander Rippa again for you.”
Morgan hesitated, not very confident in himself. If the strong Rippa could join, success was certain.
Though he didn’t know the girl’s reliance, trying wouldn’t hurt.
Morgan then noticed her companions.
A cold man holding a large sniper rifle.
A muscular man with a tower shield.
A sunny boy eating a bun.
And the one who threatened Morgan was a handsome youth with a mechanical glove on his right hand.
“Don’t worry, she’ll succeed,” said Orson calmly, not even considering Morgan a threat.
With the right tools, Lieutenant Commander Rippa would agree to send troops. Then, they could leverage the storyline forces to eliminate the Black Cat Pirates.
This would complete most of their objectives, leaving only the task of uncovering hidden missions.
“The Silent Steps will elevate my speed further.” Orson’s eyes burned with determination.
On the blazing sea, cannon fire echoed through the sky.
White sails fluttered in the sea breeze like eagles, ready to soar. Fang Bo stood at the bow, staring intently at the pirate ship in the distance.
Behind him, pirates were busily checking sails and rigging to ensure the ship was in top condition.
The cannon ports on the ship’s sides were open, with black cannons aimed at the enemy ship. Black shells began covering the area in waves.
These were solid iron balls, hollow inside and filled with gunpowder. A certain level of impact would trigger an explosion, so they were usually separated with thick cotton.
“Accuracy is too low.” Fang Bo observed that the cannon duel could have been more efficient.
Seventeen minutes into the battle, only one shell had hit the enemy, with most shots blindly wasting ammunition.
The two ships quickly crossed paths, with cannon fire and thick smoke rising on the sea.
This distance was perfect for cannon fire without the risk of enemy boarding. The enemy knew the Black Cat Pirates’ reputation and avoided facing Kuro’s cunning tactics.
“This won’t do,” Old Cat was anxious, eyeing Fang Bo’s 3D maneuver gear.
“Jason, it’s your turn to shine.”
Old Cat explained his idea: Fang Bo should use his hooks to approach the enemy ship.
Before Fang Bo could respond, another reincarnator, who had purchased an item to board the ship, objected, “No, it’s too risky. Jason might not make it back.”
Known as “Piglet,” he was the one who had bought Fang Bo’s items.
Piglet was very enthusiastic towards those who helped him and shared important information with Fang Bo.
For instance, reaching a certain rank would unlock the synthesis function, allowing reincarnators to create powerful equipment, skills, and even storyline titles if they knew the formulas.
Initially dismissing titles as insignificant, Fang Bo now realized their importance.
Watching his companions argue, Fang Bo remained indifferent. The choice to act was his; others could only offer suggestions.
Staring at the distant ship, Fang Bo said, “To win, we must board their ship. Inform everyone to be ready to act.”
With that, he picked up a bag filled with solid cannonballs.
