- Chapter 60 - The Adventure of the Blood Wind Sword
Fang Bo felt that the Poison Needle skill had more potential for development than the potentially nullified stun attacks.
Spiders are inherently evil creatures, and Jorogumo could continuously stack poison damage.
Given the right opportunity, this skill could deal explosive damage.
“If only I could find a way to enhance her venom.”
Watching the giant skeleton crumble, Fang Bo unsummoned Jorogumo. He now had a general idea of the Shikigami’s combat limits.
Jorogumo could single-handedly take down elite pirates like Paul, but she still needed to catch up to bosses like Kuro or the Pirate Admiral.
However, with Fang Bo’s support and the combined use of various control skills, they might stand a chance against those bosses.
As he walked towards his personal space, Fang Bo noticed that the participants in the space war had gathered in the plaza.
With nothing else, he decided to admire the grand scene quietly.
The participants were assembled but didn’t move immediately, as if waiting for something.
At that moment, a door appeared in the sky, and a man in a black trench coat stepped out before the crowd.
“Look, that’s a strong player from the Level 2 world.”
“Why did he come back? Isn’t opening a portal quite costly in merit points?”
“The team is about to set out; maybe he has some instructions.”
“And this person…”
ROAR!!!
A sudden beastly roar interrupted the reincarnators’ conversations.
Feeling the terrifying pressure, they struggled to lift their heads and looked up at a giant creature with azure eyes and silver-white scales.
It was a rare dragon, its eyes like crystal jade, looking down at everyone from on high.
Its terrifying presence was as solid as a mountain as if declaring its existence to the world.
“Is that the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon?!”
“Yes, it is! I saw a similar illustration in an intel report.”
Blue-Eyes White Dragon, a summoned beast from the Yu-Gi-Oh! The world had incredibly destructive power.
It was similar to Jorogumo, both being summoned beasts, but their power levels were on entirely different tiers.
Even those who had seen a lot, like Fang Bo, couldn’t help but be shocked to see such a fearsome creature in a Level 1 world.
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon’s claws were sharp as knives, capable of tearing through any obstacle. Its most striking feature was its scales, each polished like a gemstone, smooth as a mirror and glowing faintly.
These scales provided formidable protection and made the dragon look even more majestic and invincible.
The surrounding air seemed to freeze the moment it appeared, its regal aura exuding an unparalleled nobility.
As a summoner, Fang Bo felt like a hungry ghost seeing a beauty, itching to kill the man in the trench coat and claim the Blue-Eyes White Dragon’s card for himself.
Unfortunately, the reincarnation space forbade fighting, and he couldn’t match the man’s strength anyway.
“It’s alright; there’s plenty of time.” After one last look, Fang Bo collected his thoughts and returned to his house.
After the Onmyoji world adventure, the items he had put up for sale were all sold.
The Poison Bullet Crafting Diagram was bought for 340 plot points.
The Genetic Modification Serum sold for 920 plot points.
The Admiral’s Pocket Watch sold for 240, and the Kusanagi Blood earned him 300 plot points.
Altogether, the surplus items netted him 1800 plot points, nicely offsetting the cost of upgrading his skills.
Plot Points: 3655
With his wallet full again, Fang Bo decided to upgrade some of his basic skills.
He decided to reserve about a thousand plot points for emergencies and use the rest to enhance his skills.
Especially his shooting skills; he feared missing a shot every time he used the Dragoon.
With each bullet taking ten seconds to reload, he couldn’t afford to miss.
To improve his output, he needed to upgrade his Basic Shooting skills.
[Basic Shooting LV5-LV6 requires 300 plot points. Confirm upgrade?]
“Upgrade.”
[Basic Shooting LV6-LV7 requires 350 plot points. Confirm upgrade?]
“Upgrade.”
[Basic Shooting LV7-LV8 requires 400 plot points. Confirm upgrade?]
“Upgrade.”
An eighth-level Basic Shooting skill would make him a sharpshooter in any setting, guaranteeing near-perfect accuracy while standing still.
As for shooting on the move, that would need further specialised training.
The gunman, Vincenzo, for instance, was a master of mobile shooting. Opponents who couldn’t keep up with his speed often found themselves slowly worn down.
But Fang Bo wasn’t a specialist marksman. An eighth-level essential skill was sufficient for his needs.
After checking his remaining plot points, Fang Bo upgraded his Maneuver Gear Control to level six.
This resulted in his proficiency in using the manoeuvre gear being on par with that of the top-ranked members of the Survey Corps.
Only a few could surpass him.
Plot Points: 1855
“There’s nothing else to upgrade for now.” After upgrading, he had nearly used up all the plot points he gained from selling items.
It felt like he had scored a bunch of free skill levels.
Fang Bo decided to check out his next plot world in advance with nothing left to do.
His stay in reincarnation was far from over, but he wanted to save time.
Querying the following plot world information would trigger the countdown to forced entry, giving him five hours to prepare based on his current rank.
Strolling to the central plaza, he saw that the participants of the space war had already vanished.
But the number of people around hadn’t decreased, and the shouts were as lively as ever.
“Azure Flames, the aesthetic of violent output, worth owning.”
“High-tech skateboard, suitable for all terrains.”
“Homing Missile, excellent single-point damage.”
“Pirate’s Horn, great for summoning sea creatures.”
“Kamen Rider World, looking for a tank specialist.”
“Phantom Dominator’s membership slots available, only trading for equipment, no plot points accepted.”
After browsing around, Fang Bo found many good items.
However, only some suited him. He still had one skill slot and had yet to decide what to learn.
At the portal, Fang Bo submitted his application.
[ID 14552 requests early entry to the plot world.]
Soon, the space displayed the information for his following plot world.
Legend has it that after the sun sets, demons emerge. Hunters called Demon Slayers exist to exterminate these demons, risking their lives to protect people.
When happiness is shattered, the scent of blood is always in the air.
Even if my body is destroyed, I will slay the demons!
The adventure of the Blood Wind Sword begins!
[Plot World Confirmed. ID 14552 will enter the plot world of Demon Slayer in 5 hours!]
“Demon Slayer?” Fang Bo pondered, a smile forming on his lips.
Compared to the vastness of the One Piece world, the story there was more straightforward, and the power levels weren’t as terrifying. At least, there wouldn’t be forces beyond comprehension.
As the strongest, Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s power was hard to gauge but certainly more substantial than Fang Bo at present. Fortunately, he didn’t have to face the top of the Demon Slayer world.
The final boss, Muzan Kibutsuji, was much weaker than Yoriichi. Estimating his strength was still challenging for Fang Bo.
So far, everything was just subjective speculation. He needed to experience the Demon Slayer world’s power levels firsthand.
“The plot there is more straightforward, focusing on the Demon Slayer Corps and the Twelve Kizuki. Our missions will likely involve killing demons.”
Fang Bo would need to complete more hidden missions to earn substantial rewards.
If he could slay an Upper Moon, the rewards would be considerable.
“If I could kill Muzan and end the Demon Slayer plot, that would be the perfect outcome.”
It was a great idea but hard to execute.
The Upper Moons alone were far more potent than he could handle. Fang Bo couldn’t defeat them alone.
Success would depend on how he planned and the teammates assigned by the space.
If he got stuck with weaklings or ended up in a kill-or-be-killed mode, hopes of defeating Muzan would be slim.
“Some things are beyond my control.”
Beep, beep, beep!
Someone was messaging him. When he checked the message, he saw it was Olsson, the one with the blood of the Celestial Dragons.
Olsson wanted to chat, but Fang Bo wasn’t in the mood.
“I’m about to enter a plot world. We’ll talk when I get back.”
After some thought, he messaged Ryuuno in case she looked for him and couldn’t find him.
While not interested in joining a team, he didn’t mind being friends with Ryuuno. He’d like to explore many valuable things in the Onmyoji world again.
If SR Shikigami were this strong, SSR Shikigami, like Ibaraki-douji, must be ger. Someday, he hoped to contract those demon kings.
Seeing the power of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon made Fang Bo even more eager to acquire powerful summons. Finding a suitable follower would be another goal.
“The best would be strong plot characters with immense potential.”
With dreams in mind, Fang Bo confirmed his choice to enter the plot world immediately.
No one noticed his departure. The other reincarnators were more focused on the news about the space war.
