Only I Know the Plot of the Anime World - Chapter 76
Fang Bo immediately sensed the darkness and stood up as the darkness began to spread.
“The enemy is here!”
However, the impenetrable darkness was too fast. The world plunged into complete darkness as he gripped the Dragon Cavalry gun.
“What kind of ability is this?!” Fang Bo turned his head repeatedly, but all he could see was an impenetrable black fog.
He could hear his companions’ breaths, but his vision was completely gone.
“Darren!”
Hearing his teammate’s call, Darren’s eyes suddenly glowed red, and two black tomoes spun in his irises.
Sharingan, activate!
The ninja understood Fang Bo’s intention, but even these eyes couldn’t penetrate the dense fog.
The Sharingan’s strength lay in its dynamic vision; the Byakugan was the true expert in seeing through illusions.
One of the three excellent skills of the strong in the Demon Slayer world, the Transparent World, worked by seeing through an opponent’s muscles and blood flow to predict their movements and counterattack.
It was a non-bloodline version of the Byakugan, activated through rigorous training.
Unfortunately, none of the three had this power, so they could only fumble to the street outside.
Based on their daytime analysis, the enemy targeted them, so they might as well stand their ground and fight.
Of course, Fang Bo wouldn’t just sit and wait. The more chaotic the situation, the better their chance to counterattack.
The six-pointed star pattern flashed beside him, and soon, the towering figure of his shinigami appeared.
Summon Shikigami: Jorogumo!
“Seal off the street with webs. Let’s see when the enemy shows up.”
The giant spider began frantically spraying webs at the summoner’s command, creating a dangerous trap within seconds.
The shikigami would react without sight if the enemy touched the webs.
If the stun effect hit, Fang Bo could follow up with attacks, guiding his teammates to focus their attacks.
This wide-range visual block was terrifying, indicating the enemy was formidable.
However, considering such an influential blood demon art, the enemy still couldn’t advance to the Upper Moons, suggesting either poor combat ability or a fatal flaw in this technique.
“We’ll soon find out if I’m right.”
Thanks to Fang Bo’s careful preparations, the others calmed down.
In the Demon Slayer world, large-scale destructive skills were rare. To kill them, the enemy had to engage up close.
If they dared step in, survival wasn’t guaranteed.
“I’ll search for the enemy. Protect me.” Ali crouched, fingers glowing with cursed energy.
This sorcerer’s technique allowed him to sense an opponent’s position through their aura.
He thought he could succeed but quickly stood up, sounding frustrated. “It’s no good. The fog is filled with the enemy’s aura. I can’t pinpoint them.”
Hearing this, Fang Bo summoned the Headless Puppet. It might not catch the enemy, but it would protect him.
The enemy’s ability was troublesome, nullifying their search abilities. They had to wait for the enemy to come to them.
Still, being passive wasn’t an option. Fang Bo needed a winning strategy.
Suddenly, Jorogumo raised her head, “looking” towards a spot diagonally above.
Instinctively, Fang Bo raised his arm and fired, hitting a hidden target.
But with the following scream, he realized he’d shot a decoy.
“Watch your back!” Ali’s urgent warning rang out.
Fang Bo and Darren turned to guard their backs simultaneously without specifying who.
Then Ali’s panicked voice came from another direction, “Damn, that wasn’t me!”
The enemy could mimic voices?!
It was too late to dodge. In that split second, Fang Bo mentally commanded Jorogumo.
Next, he felt a sharp pain in his waist as claws pierced his body.
[You received a backstab from the enemy, taking 34+15 points of critical damage.]
Enduring the pain, Fang Bo reached back, ready to fight for his life.
“A human trying to play hero?” Kamanue laughed, unfazed by the hand reaching for him.
Ignoring the web blade from behind, Kamanue struck again, drenching Fang Bo in blood, but Fang Bo managed to touch the enemy.
“Degrade!”
[Target is burning, taking five fire damage per second for 10 seconds.]
The enemy had dealt over 80 damage, but Fang Bo wouldn’t let it go.
As the enemy screamed, he shot again, piercing Kamanue’s shoulder.
“Damn,” Kamanue retreated, unable to quell the burning flames.
With fire reaching his neck, he had to use his blood demon art again.
As the darkness swallowed the flames, Kamanue sighed in relief.
His regenerative abilities would eventually heal him as long as he wasn’t killed outright.
“The losers will be you.”
In his next strike, he aimed to pierce Fang Bo’s head.
Trying to find a flaw in the enemy’s defense, Fang Bo’s shikigami suddenly launched tiny energy spiders at Kamanue, causing excruciating pain and immobilizing him.
Kamanue couldn’t believe it. How had they found him so quickly? His blood demon art should have lasted longer.
He didn’t know Jorogumo had marked him with a particular skill during the attack.
Spider Mark: E-rank, marked targets take additional damage and can be tracked without visual contact.
Without seeing, Jorogumo could sense the marked target and immobilize them.
“Ali, seven o’clock.”
“Darren, three o’clock.”
They had already guessed something was happening. Hearing the directions, they attacked Kamanue’s location.
Severely wounded, Kamanue couldn’t maintain the blood demon art, and the black fog dissipated.
Seeing the enemy clearly, Fang Bo recognized him.
“Isn’t this the unlucky one killed by Muzan?”
Due to the Spider Mountain’s fall, Muzan deemed the Lower Moons unnecessary, killing them all except the strongest, Enmu.
This was the space’s balancing act. The one who should have been dead attacked them.
A blazing fireball flew down the street as Darren unleashed his most potent attack, engulfing Kamanue.
His injuries worsened. As he tried to flee, Jorogumo’s webs blocked him, and a web blade stabbed him.
With Ali closing in, Kamanue’s regeneration halted.
“This can’t be!”
But Jorogumo’s toxin sacs prevented cellular regeneration.
Healing or skills might work, but self-healing was out.
Desperate, Kamanue tried to escape, but Ali wouldn’t allow it.
“Die, monster.”
Swinging his cursed knife, Ali severed the other arm. Now, Kamanue was a helpless lamb.
As he gathered his blood demon art for a final strike, a shuriken hit from behind, causing an explosion that blew his head off.
[You killed Lower Rank Six Kamanue]
Fang Bo got his share of the kill as the squad worked together.
More than anyone, he deserved it as the MVP.
Jorogumo’s versatility was impressive. Fang Bo was pleased.
However, as an SR-level shikigami, she had limited growth potential.
Attributes could constantly improve, but only strong traits determine true strength.
Advancing to SSR would let Jorogumo shine without constant direction.
“If she could advance, shikigami summoning would be a B-rank skill.”
The skill limit was B-rank at the first difficulty level. B-rank skills indicated top-tier power, which was valuable even in the second difficulty level.
Fang Bo pondered how to upgrade his shikigami. It had to happen before she became a Reincarnator.
“Forget it. We’ll see.”
After defeating the enemy, it was time for everyone’s favorite part—opening the loot.
