Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 11
Facing the sea breeze, Tang An began his daily training.
However, this time, he added a new technique: shaving.
After completing all the basic military combat drills—push-ups, sit-ups, frog jumps, running around the pirate ship a hundred times, and finishing with an army boxing set—Tang An was already exhausted.
He felt weak and drained.
After resting for half an hour, Tang An forced himself to start practicing shaving.
Compared to the basics of military combat techniques, shaving seemed simple.
But despite its apparent simplicity, practicing it was exceptionally troublesome.
Shave relies entirely on the legs. If the method is incorrect or the requirement is not met, forcing oneself to train could result in crippling injuries.
“Ten steps in 0.36 seconds or less.”
Tang An stood on one foot and rapidly tapped his right foot a few times in the air, but the results were disappointing—each step took nearly a second.
It seemed that mastering Shave was still a long way off.
Tang An did not give up and continued to practice according to the knowledge and techniques in his mind.
When his right foot became weak, he switched to his left foot. He was determined to master shaving.
The next day, Tang An almost couldn’t get out of bed. His legs were numb, and it took him a while to regain feeling and stand up.
He continued his monotonous training.
First, he did fifty push-ups, sit-ups, and other basic exercises, and then he resumed practicing shaving.
Sweat poured down as he trained.
Two days I was passed like this.
During these two days, they encountered a merchant ship, but there was no interaction between the two sides.
On the fourth day, a sea restaurant appeared on Tang An’s horizon.
Looking at the restaurant in the distance, with several merchant and pirate ships docked around it, Tang An, bare-chested and drenched in sweat, muttered to himself.
“The Baratie sea restaurant. Have I missed Zoro and Nami already?”
According to the order of the Straw Hat Pirates’ recruitment, Luffy would first encounter Zoro, then Nami, followed by Usopp, and finally Sanji.
Zoro was probably still at Koshiro’s dojo, learning swordsmanship.
Killing Zoro in front of Koshiro was unrealistic, as Koshiro was a formidable figure, and Dragon could appear at the dojo at any moment. If Dragon found out Tang An had nearly killed Luffy, it would be like walking into a lion’s den.
Killing Zoro was the most challenging task, followed by Sanji.
Sanji’s difficulty wasn’t minor either, as he had a powerful backer—Red-Leg Zeff.
Tang An couldn’t possibly provoke Zeff, who could easily shatter rocks and leave imprints on steel plates.
The easiest targets were Usopp and Nami.
He had already blown Usopp’s head off, and Nami seemed to have been missed as well.
He wondered if Arlong was currently in Orange Town.
Tang An wasn’t entirely sure about the timeline of One Piece, only remembering some rough details.
As the sea restaurant drew closer, Tang An thought deeply.
Since he was already here, there was no reason to pass by.
His current strength was too weak, and continuing to drift at sea would be suicidal. It was already a blessing not to have encountered any pirates in these few days.
Maybe he should stay here for a while.
At least until he mastered Shave, gaining some self-defense capability. Only then would he have a better chance of taking on Zoro or Nami, increasing his success rate.
The only uncertainty was his terminal cancer; he had no idea when it would claim his life.
But judging by his condition, he felt he could last another three to four months.
If it were typical terminal cancer, it would be impossible to train like Tang An did every day.
If it weren’t for the occasional spasms and pain, Tang An would doubt he had terminal cancer.
Acting on his thoughts, Tang An, never one for indecision, decided to do one more thing to be cautious.
Tang An looked at Rafael beside him.
Since he chose to stay at the sea restaurant for a while, Rafael was no longer needed.
Rafael knew about the incident in the Goa Kingdom, and Tang An didn’t want to leave any loose ends.
If Rafael had exposed his identity, there would have been unforeseen trouble later.
Even if there wasn’t any trouble, or if he was overthinking, in this sick world, caution could prolong his life.
“Rafael, come help me move the alcohol and combustibles from the storage room.”
Tang An turned and walked towards the cabin.
“Why are we moving those things?” Rafael was puzzled.
“We’re going to burn this ship.”
Tang An didn’t hide his intention.
After much thought, burning this pirate ship was the best option. What if the Revolutionary Army traced it back to him?
“Huh?” Rafael was even more puzzled.
“Just do as I say.”
Tang An’s eyes widened, and his tone grew heavier.
Rafael stopped questioning and started helping Tang An pour alcohol and gasoline around the cabin.
After everything was set, Tang An and Rafael stood in the cabin hallway, panting with two bags of gold, silver, and Beli at their feet.
These were the treasures of the original Bursam, now belonging to Tang An.
The money was enough for him to live comfortably at the sea restaurant for a year.
“Are we really going to burn it?” Rafael looked down the hallway, unaware that death was looming behind him.
“Bang!”
A Type 92 pistol appeared in Tang An’s hand. With a splatter of brain matter and flesh, Tang An kicked Rafael down the hallway.
Tang An pulled out a lighter and casually tossed it down the hallway, turning away and carrying the two bags out.
Behind him, the flames spread rapidly. Tang An jumped off the pirate ship onto a small rowing boat and started rowing towards the sea restaurant, moving farther from the burning pirate ship.
Real men never look back.
“There’s a ship on fire over there.”
At the sea restaurant, someone naturally noticed the burning pirate ship and Tang An rowing away.
About ten minutes later, Tang An rowed his small boat to the Baratie Sea restaurant.
The sea restaurant resembled a giant ship, with fish-shaped figureheads at both ends and a large area.
In East Blue, the Baratie Sea restaurant was the most famous.
The restaurant adhered to the principle of “no food wastage” and had many fully armed combat chefs.
This force was not to be underestimated.
At least a few pirates in the East Blue dared to cause trouble here.
“Welcome to the Baratie sea restaurant.”
As Tang An docked his small boat at the designated port, a waiter in chef’s attire came to assist.
These waiters were not only chefs but also combat members maintaining order at the sea restaurant.
Most were former pirates who Red-Leg Zeff had subdued.
“Help me carry these two bags.”
Tang An took out 10,000 Beli as a tip.
“No problem.”
“Are you here to stay or to eat?”
“Get me the best room available.”
The waiter, carrying the bags, led the way.
Tang An followed, observing the guests sipping wine around the railings.
“Please follow me.”
The waiter, carrying the bags, recognized this as a wealthy customer.
Under the waiter’s guidance, Tang An arrived at the top level of the area, where the room included a bathroom, balcony, and more.
However, the cost was high.
According to the waiter, just the lodging costs 50,000 Beli per day, excluding other expenses.
Tang An, now wealthy, naturally chose the best.
