Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 19
“Boom… boom boom…”
Dust flew up from the ground as the sound of breaking through the air echoed. Tang An’s right foot continuously stomped, but nine and a half steps was his limit.
When his right foot started aching, he switched to his left foot, spending the entire morning practicing Shave.
“Just a little more, just a little more,” he muttered. His pale face was covered in sweat, his upper body bare, showing off his well-defined six-pack abs and strong muscles. Compared to when he first crossed over, his physique was now vastly improved.
Another month had passed since he drew the diamond kukri knives. He had now been in the world of Attack on Titan for two months. Including the time spent in the One Piece world, Tang An still hadn’t mastered Shave.
Tang An felt anxious. Initially, he thought he could succeed within a month, but now two months of intense daily training still hadn’t broken the final barrier.
“Damn it.”
Obsessed, Tang An’s mind was filled with only one word: Shave, Shave, Shave…
“Whoosh…”
Without warning, Tang An suddenly vanished from his spot. With a loud thud, he found himself plastered against the wall, slowly sliding down to the ground in a daze.
A fist-sized rock fell from above, hitting Tang An square on the head.
“Hiss…”
Sucking in a cold breath, Tang An rolled on the ground, clutching his head, his face contorted in pain. After a moment, he stood up, despite the pain, feeling elated.
“Was that…?”
Looking up at the human-shaped dent in the wall, he then looked back to where he had been training, about five meters away.
“I did it, I did it!”
Tang An was overjoyed, eager to try again. But nothing happened; he was still stuck at nine and a half steps.
Disbelieving, he tried over ten more times, but half an hour later, there was still no success.
“What’s going on? It worked just now.”
The initial excitement faded, and Tang An’s legs were now swollen and twitching from overexertion. He needed to rest to avoid permanent damage.
Sitting cross-legged, Tang An tried to recall the feeling from earlier. Rhythm, continuity… It was a vague, indescribable sensation, as if a fog clouded his mind.
“At times like this, you can’t rush. Victory is close,” he reminded himself, taking a deep breath. Knowing his legs needed rest, he decided not to sit idly.
Flipping into a handstand, Tang An began doing push-ups on his fingertips, alternating hands. Though his body was training, his thoughts were elsewhere.
Staring at the human-shaped mark on the wall, Tang An was more excited than ever. He felt a surge of adrenaline, akin to a hormonal rush. Mastering Shave would make him invincible in this world, ensuring his plans’ success.
After two hours, his legs no longer hurt as much, so he resumed his training. Despite repeated attempts, by dusk, he still hadn’t succeeded again, leaving him frustrated.
His stomach growled, pulling him out of his single-minded focus. Opening the system screen, the blood-red countdown still haunted him: one month and five days left.
Tonight, he could roll the second natural month dice, hoping for something useful.
At midnight, the dice rolled, the plane token moved six spaces, and a familiar glow faded.
“A box of pull-up diapers.”
“Description: Dry pull-up diapers keep babies comfortable all night, leak-proof, breathable, absorbent, antibacterial, with added elastic waistbands and leak guards.”
Tang An took a deep breath. Pull-up diapers? He didn’t wet the bed.
By now, he was used to the randomness of his golden finger, accepting it with resignation. His focus remained on mastering Shave and Moonwalk.
Initially, he planned to join the Training Corps through the shopkeeper’s connections to learn the 3D Maneuver Gear, but with Shave at a critical point, he postponed this plan.
The next morning, Tang An woke up at dawn. Despite the chilly, damp weather, he started his training again.
He continued hitting the nine and a half steps barrier, as if yesterday’s success was just a dream.
Sweating profusely, he finally, without warning, vanished again, reappearing five meters away, buried headfirst in the weeds.
Pulling his head out, Tang An was ecstatic. This time, it wasn’t a dream. He had succeeded again.
However, the success rate was low, and he couldn’t control his body well after each success.
His excitement surged, and Tang An continued training tirelessly. After over fifty steps, his legs were swollen and twitching again, forcing him to stop.
Resting his legs, he continued training his upper body with handstands and push-ups.
Through high-intensity training, his physical fitness had greatly improved, surpassing human limits. By noon, he succeeded once more, and again in the afternoon, though the success rate remained low.
The next day, he resumed training, and through sheer effort, he succeeded seven times, starting to get the hang of it and gaining some control over his direction.
On the third day, he succeeded eighteen times.
On the fourth day, thirty times.
Progress was slow but steady, fueling Tang An’s determination.
On the sixth day…
“Shave!”
In a blink, Tang An appeared five meters away. Though he lost balance and nearly fell, he quickly steadied himself with a few flips.
Six days had passed since his first success, with two months and six days spent in this world. Finally, he could use Shave at will, though balance and distance were still issues.
But these were minor concerns.
“Ha ha…”
Tang An laughed wildly, thinking of the sweat and effort over the past two months. Success was finally within reach.
On the seventh and eighth days, he trained relentlessly, and by then, his Shave was fully mastered.
In the dilapidated yard, Tang An’s figure appeared and disappeared, seeming to teleport.
Shave was thoroughly mastered.
Lying on the ground, looking at the darkening sky, his chest heaving, Tang An was drenched in sweat.
“Next is Moonwalk.”
Reaching out as if to grasp the entire world, Tang An’s eyes gleamed sharply.
Once he mastered Moonwalk, no one in this world could stop him.
Moonwalk’s foundation was Shave, which he now controlled effortlessly.
Ten days, no… Tang An was confident he could master Moonwalk in just five days.
