Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 2
“I need to figure out what world this is first.”
Tang An closed the light screen and gradually regained his composure.
From this seemingly useless cheat, he had already gathered a lot of information.
The priority was to understand the world he was in before making any plans.
Also, this useless cheat could only be used to roll the dice once per natural month, and bad luck might even bring punishments, like worsening his cancer or useless items.
The appearance of an advertisement was the most fatal flaw, with user experience dropping to -99999…
Although this cheat seemed essentially useless, possibly even a double-edged sword, it was his only reliance in this unfamiliar world.
Moreover, hunting those transmigrators, reincarnators, and Children of Destiny would reward him with more dice rolls and random luck value bonuses.
The luck value was easy to understand.
Suppose he had had a luck value bonus during his previous four dice rolls. In that case, he might have drawn many helpful, practical, or powerful items instead of worsening his cancer, a 60ml bottle, or advertisements that made him want to destroy the cheat system.
Thinking of this made Tang An’s face darken.
Looking around, all he saw was a vast garbage dump.
Judging from the trash, this probably wasn’t a world filled with demons or magical creatures.
“Eh?”
Five meters away, he saw something resembling a newspaper in the garbage heap.
“Navy’s Four Monster Admirals: Sakazuki, Borsalino, Kuzan, Enel?”
Tang An picked up the newspaper, and the information on it was readable to him, likely a hidden skill of the cheat.
However, the names Sakazuki, Borsalino, Kuzan, and Enel made Tang An’s spirits lift.
“The One Piece world?”
Tang An gathered a lot of information from this newspaper.
This was the famous One Piece world. Sakazuki and the others were still vice admirals, meaning Gol D. Roger might still be alive or had died only a few years ago.
Moreover, Enel had joined the Navy.
And was now a Monster Vice Admiral alongside Sakazuki, Borsalino, and Kuzan?
Clearly, this guy was very likely a transmigrator or a reborn individual.
The likelihood of him being a transmigrator was higher.
If it wasn’t a soul takeover, then the transmigrator had intercepted the original Enel’s Goro Goro no Mi and joined the Navy.
The possibility of the original Enel being reborn was smaller but not impossible.
The One Piece world was inherently dangerous, and now, with such powerful targets, it was even more challenging.
There might also be a Main God Space and reincarnation in this world, all with cheats, making it exponentially more dangerous.
Having already died once, since the heavens had given him a second chance and a cheat, no matter how useless, he had no reason not to seize it.
As for his late-stage cancer, in this miraculous world, there would always be a way. The cheat was also a possible direction.
Having been unable to control his fate in his past life, Tang An was determined to grasp it firmly this time.
His expression turned fierce, almost neurotic.
“Hey, kid, get off my turf.”
While Tang An was deep in thought, a figure nearly 2.5 meters tall, holding a chipped machete, blocked the sunlight from his left.
The scarred face of the thug, with a centipede-like scar, looked menacing.
Compared to Tang An’s thin 1.69-meter frame, the thug was overwhelmingly oppressive.
This world had no order, meaning this thug could kill him at any moment.
Instinctively, Tang An reached for his waist.
Only the gun gave him a sense of security.
With a month until his next dice roll, his safety depended entirely on this gun,
but it had only ten bullets. Tang An had never used a gun before, meaning he couldn’t waste a single bullet.
Leaving was the best option unless the thug persisted.
“Leaving now.”
Tang An lowered his posture, backing away humbly, but his hand never left his waist.
Tang An’s harsh past had taught him how to navigate such situations. A reckless confrontation would only end badly.
Seeing Tang An leave, the thug’s eyes were filled with disdain, but he didn’t pursue it.
In his eyes, Tang An was easy to kill. With his frail body and pale face, he looked like he could die at any moment.
Instead of wasting time killing him, the thug preferred to search for food or recyclable items.
Leaving the thug’s territory, Tang An saw people rummaging through the garbage heaps around him, all in ragged clothes and emaciated.
Though he had confirmed this was the One Piece world, he still didn’t know his exact location.
Now, without a single penny, he needed to find a way to get some money and a place to stay.
“Haha, I found a string of jewelry.”
A cry of excitement came from afar. A thin man found a broken string of jewelry in the garbage, but before he could stand up, several thugs swarmed him, and a brutal fight ensued.
The one who was most ruthless and fearless of death would be the victor.
Unsurprisingly, the man who first found the jewelry was stabbed several times and lay in a pool of blood, unlikely to survive.
It was brutal and bloodier than anything Tang An had ever experienced.
He had fought before, but this was different.
This was absolute killing.
Tang An walked away, his eyelid twitching at the sight of the corpse.
He didn’t linger and headed towards the city wall in the distance.
The Terminal of Uncertainty was vast. On his way, Tang An saw at least six or seven fights.
Maybe it was because he looked so weak and sickly, like he was on the verge of death, with an aura of poverty, that no one bothered him.
As Tang An reached the city wall, intending to enter Edge Town through the gate, a commotion caught his attention.
Three kids with pipes were being chased by a large group, running into Tang An’s sight.
“Catch us if you can!”
“Luffy, hurry up.”
“Ace, Sabo, wait for me.”
As they passed by, Tang An’s eyes widened, watching the three kids disappear into the Terminal of Uncertainty.
They were extremely agile.
“Luffy, Ace, Sabo.”
Watching their disappearing figures, Tang An’s mind raced.
They looked just like the memories from after the Marineford War.
This was the Goa Kingdom, and that garbage heap was the Terminal of Uncertainty.
It was ten years before the Marineford War, meaning Ace and Sabo were ten, and Luffy was seven.
“Child of Destiny, important supporting characters.”
Tang An felt as if fortune had smiled on him. Finding Luffy, Ace, and Sabo at this age seemed too easy.
These three, once killed, would reward at least four dice rolls and luck value bonuses, undoubtedly yielding valuable items.
In his current state, just leaving the Goa Kingdom was difficult.
With late-stage cancer, surviving would require relying on the cheat. Otherwise, he would die.
He had no choice.
However, killing these three required careful planning.
Despite being ten and seven years old, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy were already little monsters.
The cheat was unreliable now, and his only advantage was his knowledge of the story.
