- Chapter 25 - Could it be the Lost Art of the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms?
My name is Zhou Wei, and I am an ordinary otaku from Earth. I died from an electric shock while watching One Piece caused by spilling water on my keyboard. Unexpectedly, I found myself in the legendary Main God Space, becoming a reincarnator with the number 1678.
My first reincarnation was in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. I completed the Main God’s tasks and exchanged my reward points for the Nine Yang Divine Skill, leveling it up to Lv. 4. This granted me endless inner energy and immunity to all poisons. I also obtained the Dragon Slayer Saber.
My second reincarnation was in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, where I completed the Main God’s tasks and exchanged my points for the Graceful Steps Upon the Waves skill.
My third reincarnation was in The Legend of the Condor Heroes, where I completed the Main God’s tasks and exchanged my points for the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms.
I thought my next reincarnation would be in another martial arts world, but to my surprise, I ended up in the world of Attack on Titan. As an otaku, I deeply understood this epic anime and even followed the manga. Mikasa and Krista were my goddesses, and I could finally meet them.
The Main God issued five rare tasks this time.
Task 1: Kill ten mindless titans. With my current three divine skills, this is easy.
Task 2: Save ten soldiers. Also, it’s not complicated.
Task 3: Join the Survey Corps. This is tricky, but I can use an Identity Potion to eliminate language and identity barriers and join the Survey Corps. However, the Identity Potion is expensive, costing 500 exchange points.
Task 4: Protect the Chosen One from being killed by Dark Ones within six months.
Task 5: Kill the Dark Ones.
The Dark Ones are described as viruses left in the myriad worlds that hunt the Chosen Ones, Reincarnators, and Transmigrators. They? Could the Dark Ones not be human? How would I identify them?
Zhou Wei pondered the Main God’s tasks, his face serious. He felt confident about completing the first three tasks but found the fourth and fifth tasks troublesome. It was his first time encountering Dark Ones. Although the exchange point rewards were generous, he had yet to learn if his opponents were humans or something else.
Wait, the Dark Ones hunt the Chosen Ones, Transmigrators, and Reincarnators. The Main God wants me to protect the Chosen One. If I stay close to the Chosen One, whoever attacks them might be a Dark One. I only need to protect them for six months.
I’m a genius!
“Exchange Identity Potion.”
Zhou Wei watched as 500 exchange points were deducted from his panel. A bottle of potion appeared out of thin air. Zhou Wei drank it, his body glowing for three seconds, and then his appearance changed drastically. His clothes matched the world’s style and automatically generated a new identity. If someone investigated Zhou Wei, they would find solid evidence of him being a resident of Wall Maria.
A seven-meter titan suddenly appeared before Zhou Wei, reaching out with a giant hand. Zhou Wei remained calm, moving with such speed and agility that he left afterimages, appearing behind the titan’s nape in just three breaths.
“Regret of the Dragon.”
A three-meter-long golden dragon materialized in his hand, accompanied by a dragon’s roar. Zhou Wei struck the titan’s nape, causing its entire upper body to explode into a shower of flesh. The power of his palm strike was terrifying. He then moved gracefully, effortlessly using his skills to kill ten titans, each accompanied by a dragon’s roar.
Tang An watched Zhou Wei drink a potion in the shadows and transform. There was no mistake; Zhou Wei was either a Transmigrator or a Reincarnator with a cheat ability.
Tang An felt a heavy weight on his shoulders. He had not expected to encounter such influential individuals so soon. His jaw dropped slightly as he watched Zhou Wei move with agility reminiscent of a martial arts technique. He even saw a golden dragon emerge from his palm, accompanied by a dragon’s roar.
Could it be the lost art of the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms? Then what about his movement technique?
“He’s leaving,” Tang An noted as Zhou Wei disappeared into an alley after killing ten titans, clearly not wanting to draw attention.
This unexpected appearance of a likely Transmigrator or Reincarnator completely disrupted Tang An’s plans. He would undoubtedly cross paths with Zhou Wei again, especially since the other might be familiar with the plot. Given his mission to hunt Chosen Ones, Tang An was sure Zhou Wei was an enemy. He had no idea what Zhou Wei’s cheat abilities were, only that he needed to eliminate him in one swift strike to avoid being killed himself.
Tang An’s earlier decisions now seemed reckless. He might not have drawn Zhou Wei’s attention if he had kept a low profile. It would have been better to remain inconspicuous within the Training Corps, avoiding any spotlight. He regretted his choice to engage with Levi, making him a noticeable figure.
Tang An realized he needed to act cautiously. This experience reminded him to approach situations with more prudence, similar to how he had learned to ensure his targets were truly dead after failing to kill Luffy with one stab. He resolved to keep a low profile and think of a strategy to deal with Zhou Wei.
“First, let’s extract the spinal fluid,” he muttered, launching his gear to reach a seven-meter titan. He slashed the titan’s nape and landed gracefully as it fell.
Tang An took out two syringes and used his blade to cut open the titan’s spine, carefully extracting the spinal fluid. Just as he finished, three more titans approached, measuring six, eight, and ten meters. Tang An swiftly dispatched them, moving with precision.
“Which regiment are you from?” a voice called out. Tang An looked up to see an orange-haired woman, a member of the Garrison Regiment based on her logo.
Anka was shocked to see someone easily handle three titans, including the one on the ground, for a total of four. More titan corpses were nearby, and no other soldiers were in sight. Could this one person have killed them all?
