Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 43
Tang An now possessed the power of four Titans: the Female Titan, the Jaw Titan, the Armored Titan, and the Colossal Titan.
Each Titan had its unique abilities:
- Female Titan: 14 meters tall, blonde with blue eyes, possessing incredible speed surpassing military horses. It could attract and command other Titans, was highly agile, and could use a limited form of the scream ability.
- Jaw Titan: 7 meters tall, with exoskeletal features covering its face and hands; it had long arms and short legs, making it highly agile. It had powerful jaws and sharp teeth capable of tremendous bite force.
- Armored Titan: 15 meters tall, known for its unparalleled offensive and defensive capabilities. Its entire body was covered in armor that regular blades couldn’t penetrate, except for the back of the knees, which lacked armor for mobility.
- Colossal Titan: 60 meters tall, with a massive but slow-moving body lacking skin. It could release immense amounts of steam from its body, creating widespread shockwaves.
Each Titan had its strengths and weaknesses. Tang An often wondered if consuming all nine Titans would revert him to the original Founding Titan. It seemed a plausible theory.
However, today had been exhausting, and he decided to rest.
Lying on a one-meter-wide branch, Tang An quickly fell asleep. Sleep was the fastest way to restore his energy.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was night.
Nearly all the surviving vital members were gathered at the Survey Corps headquarters in Wall Rose.
Erwin sat at the head of the table, his face grim.
“Any news from Levi and Mikasa?”
“No, it’s likely they have already…”
A Survey Corps member hadn’t finished speaking when Eren suddenly stood up, his expression losing control as he tried to leave.
“Eren, calm down.”
Armin stood up, grabbing Eren, his voice tired.
“Mikasa won’t die.”
Eren’s eyes were filled with guilt; he couldn’t bear to think in that direction.
“I know.”
Armin’s words lacked confidence. Even though he knew Levi and Mikasa were strong, that Female Titan was too strange. Even if they were alive, they were likely in grave danger.
“I don’t believe it either.”
“Levi and Mikasa are too strong to die.”
Jean, Connie, Sasha, and Krista couldn’t believe it either.
“I believe in Levi. Eren, calm down.”
Erwin spoke, his face heavy as he looked at everyone in the room. “Let’s analyze the current information, Armin.”
Everyone sat up straight, though their faces were grim.
Armin stood and began to analyze without hesitation.
“Based on the information Eren provided, we can conclude that the Female Titan was indeed Annie. We don’t know why Annie fought with Reiner and Bertholdt, but she ate Ymir and attempted to eat Eren. Additionally, the Female Titan can summon weapons out of nowhere and has shown hostility towards us. I suspect Annie might be dead, and the current Female Titan is someone else who somehow took over her power. Moreover, during our retreat, it’s likely Bertholdt was eaten by the Female Titan, and Reiner might have been eaten or escaped. Besides this, the Beast Titan encountered by Connie and others at Utgard Castle is also intelligent…”
Armin spoke for about ten minutes, sharing all his thoughts and speculations.
“In other words, Reiner, the Female Titan, and the Beast Titan all have their sights set on Eren, right?”
Hange adjusted her glasses, looking at Eren.
“Yes.”
Armin nodded, continuing, “We can divide them into four factions: Reiner and Bertholdt, the Female Titan, the Beast Titan, and us. Reiner and the Female Titan were originally allies but are now in conflict, both aiming for Eren. The Beast Titan’s intentions are unclear, but it’s likely after Eren as well.”
“It seems we have many enemies. Eren, you’re quite the prize!”
Hange smiled grimly.
“I will kill them all someday.”
Eren’s eyes showed undisguised hatred.
“Since their target is Eren, we have the initiative.”
Armin clenched his fists, already formulating a plan in his mind.
“Armin, do you have any ideas?”
Sitting at the head of the table, Erwin rarely spoke, often allowing Armin to lead the discussion.
“We still lack sufficient information. We need to go to Eren’s basement to uncover everything.”
“Are you suggesting using Eren as bait?”
“Yes. If Eren appears outside Wall Maria, they might make a move.”
Armin explained his plan, similar to Erwin’s strategy during the 57th expedition, using Eren as bait.
“This plan is good, but we’ll decide on the specific timing later.”
Erwin agreed with Armin’s plan; it was their only viable option.
“One more thing.”
Armin looked at Zhou Wei.
“Zhou Wei, during the rescue of Eren, you mentioned ‘the Dark One.’ What does that mean, and why are you protecting Eren? Also, your abilities…”
“Yes, during the rescue, you summoned a golden creature from your palm that shattered the Armored Titan’s armor, which regular blades couldn’t cut through.”
Connie and Jean nodded, having witnessed it firsthand.
“I can only say that the Dark One is a demon. Both Eren and I are its targets. My mission is to protect Eren and kill the Dark One. You can trust me on this. We have a common enemy and can cooperate. I can also confirm that the Female Titan is the Dark One.”
Zhou Wei couldn’t say much due to the rules of the Reincarnation Space but clarified his mission.
Everyone in the conference room frowned, Armin, recalling every detail from their first meeting with Zhou Wei until now.
As Zhou Wei said, he wasn’t their enemy. If he were, given his strength, he would have acted long ago. Moreover, he had saved Eren from Reiner earlier that day.
However, Zhou Wei often seemed to be trying to impress Mikasa and Krista.
“Are you from outside the walls?”
Armin stared intently at Zhou Wei, as did everyone else.
Due to Reiner and Bertholdt, they knew there were other humans outside, though they didn’t know the specifics.
If Zhou Wei had been from outside, he could have provided valuable information.
“I can’t say.”
Zhou Wei shook his head, unable to violate the Reincarnation Space’s rules.
“Why can’t you say?”
A Survey Corps member frowned, hand on their sword hilt.
“I’m not your enemy. My mission is to protect Eren and kill the Dark One.”
Zhou Wei’s face darkened, seeing the small movements of some members.
“I believe Zhou Wei.”
Seeing the tense atmosphere, Armin spoke firmly.
“This discussion ends here. Everyone, rest. Armin, stay behind.”
Erwin spoke calmly.
As the others left the conference room, only Erwin and Armin remained.
