Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 45
The Milky Way hung overhead under the starry night sky, its brilliant colours like a dazzling ribbon.
On the vast, rootless land, only the gentle moonlight spilt down. Mindless Titans roamed the hills, valleys, and grasslands in every direction, though they ceased their activities at night.
Suddenly, a golden lightning bolt lit up the entire sky. In the dense forest of giant trees, a seven-meter-tall Titan with exoskeletal features on its face, hands, and razor-sharp teeth descended from the heavens, raising a cloud of dust and debris.
“So, this is the Jaw Titan? Sharp claws and teeth!” Tang An stood in the nape of the Jaw Titan, examining its hands and blade-like teeth, capable of easily tearing through or crushing rocks.
Looking around at the surrounding trees, Tang An leapt up, his claws sinking effortlessly into the trunks as he swung through the air, moving swiftly and agilely.
After about ten minutes of adaptation, Tang An stood up from the nape of the Jaw Titan, observing the steaming corpse below. He stretched his body and jumped onto a nearby tree branch.
“This feels pretty good.”
They spent ten minutes leaping around as the Jaw Titan didn’t exhaust much of his energy.
“Next is the Colossal Titan.”
Leaping down from the tree, Tang An’s right hand bled, and the resulting thunderous explosion echoed through the sky. Golden lightning connected heaven and earth, forming a mushroom cloud of steam as the 60-meter-tall Colossal Titan appeared.
“The view is really elevated.”
Through the eyes of the Colossal Titan, Tang An felt like he was looking down on the entire earth.
With one step, the ground shook like an earthquake, causing fissures and upheaval in the surrounding terrain. From a distance, it looked like a volcano, with billowing smoke and fire surrounding it, as if it had emerged from hell.
The colossal, steam-enshrouded hand cast a shadow over the land like a dark cloud, creating a hurricane-force wind with each swipe, uprooting trees and tearing up the ground.
Massive amounts of steam, like boiling water, erupted from the Colossal Titan, creating fiery bursts that spared nothing in their path. The resulting devastation left a scorched landscape with only smouldering embers and lethal temperatures.
“Energy consumption is high. Despite its immense size and strength, the Colossal Titan’s speed is too slow. Releasing internal heat all at once can create a large-scale steam explosion.”
After adapting to the Colossal Titan for about ten minutes, Tang An emerged from its nape, understanding its strengths and weaknesses. Surveying the desolate surroundings, he jumped from the Colossal Titan’s shoulder.
His energy levels supported his transformation into the Armored Titan next.
Golden lightning descended from the sky again, and amidst the flying dirt, the 15-meter-tall Armored Titan, clad entirely in armour, stepped forward.
“It really feels like wearing armor.”
Tang An moved the Armored Titan’s massive frame, slightly slower than the Female and Jaw Titans but much more robust in power and defence.
Overall, the Armored Titan was best suited for combat.
After about twenty minutes, Tang An emerged from the nape of the Armored Titan, his body temperature high and steam surrounding him.
The Armored Titan excelled in offence and defence, though executing certain complex manoeuvres required removing the armour from critical joints like the knees and elbows.
After consecutively transforming into the Female Titan, Jaw Titan, Colossal Titan, and Armored Titan, Tang An had a solid grasp of his capabilities.
He could selectively transform into any of these four Titans. As the Female Titan, he could use the Jaw Titan’s biting or sharp claw abilities, the Armored Titan’s armour, or the Colossal Titan’s steam release.
He needed to emerge from the Female Titan’s body and transform again to transform into another Titan.
Transforming into the Armored Titan, he could use the Female Titan’s scream, the Jaw Titan’s claws and teeth, or the Colossal Titan’s steam.
This meant all abilities were interconnected.
In the future, Tang An could selectively transform based on the environment or the enemy.
“I won’t let the Beast Titan, Cart Titan, War Hammer Titan, Attack Titan, or Founding Titan slip away.”
Tang An had a hunch that consuming all nine Titans would grant him all their abilities, proving far more reliable than his unreliable golden finger.
“However, there’s no rush for that. I’ll focus on mastering hardening and getting proficient with the four Titan powers.”
Tang An decided to settle down, training daily and honing techniques like Soru and Geppo.
“If I can maintain Titan form and use Soru and Geppo, then…”
Tang An had contemplated this idea many times and believed success was likely. The only things he needed to invest were sweat, fatigue, persistence, and willpower—none of which he lacked.
Time flew by, and two months passed unnoticed.
During these two months, the Survey Corps had been holed up within the walls. Their last operation had been disastrous, leaving them severely depleted.
These two months were spent waiting for recruits from the 105th and 106th training corps, as fresh blood was desperately needed.
Additionally, this period allowed Eren to familiarise himself with his Titan powers and hardening ability. Only once Eren mastered hardening could the Survey Corps execute their plan to reclaim Wall Maria and uncover the world’s secrets in Eren’s basement.
During these two months, whether acknowledged or not, it was accepted that Levi and Mikasa were dead.
Even though Eren refused to believe it, the reality was apparent.
They would have surfaced in two months if Levi and Mikasa were alive. The Survey Corps had sent people outside the walls to search, but they found fragments of their manoeuvring gear.
They also brought back news of golden lightning storms in the direction of the forest of giant trees, indicating that their enemy had not left but was lurking outside the walls, posing a constant threat.
This cast a shadow over the entire Survey Corps, leaving everyone in fear and on the verge of psychological collapse.
They felt like pigs and sheep trapped in a pen, awaiting slaughter.
Their only hope was Eren.
Eren didn’t disappoint, training relentlessly over these two months.
He vowed to kill all Titans, avenge Mikasa by killing the Female Titan, and make Reiner suffer a painful death.
“1997, 1998, 2000.”
In the forest of giant trees, Tang An, wearing black elastic boxers, clamped his legs around a branch, using his abs to lift himself. Sweat poured down his strong muscles like rain, dripping to the ground below where several mindless Titans roamed.
They all stared up, mouths agape, waiting for Tang An to fall into their jaws, circling the tree or attempting to climb.
“Hu…”
After completing 2000 reps, Tang An flipped and stood on the branch, shaking off sweat from his upright hair.
He hadn’t wasted the past two months. His basic training, Soru, Geppo, and Titan powers were all part of his daily routine, and he was pushing himself to exhaustion.
His physical fitness and abilities had significantly improved.
The previous month she had been particularly rough due to constipation, a condition that had him yearning for relief—that unbearable feeling of needing to go but being unable to was tormenting.
Over these two natural months, he had also drawn a manual razor and a toothpick.
Not worth mentioning!
