Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 49
Logically, if Ymir had the will to resist, anyone with her bloodline should be able to use the power of the Founding Titan. But only those with the pure Fritz royal bloodline could wield it. This was because Ymir’s slave mentality was so deeply ingrained in her soul that even in death, she still considered herself a slave, incapable of rebellion.
Tang An now wondered if he could use the power of the Founding Titan after consuming the Ymir bloodline potion. The potion he drank should be from the bloodline of that girl, Ymir. This would explain why he was able to enter the “Paths” world.
Shaking off his thoughts, Tang An looked at the steaming, dissolving corpse of the Beast Titan and flew toward the seaside, stepping on the air with Moonwalk.
There was a dam there where the Marley Empire injected Eldians with spinal fluid to transform them into mindless Titans.
Sitting on the dam, Tang An opened the light screen.
“Successfully hunted the secondary antagonist of Attack on Titan, Zeke Yeager. Reward dice roll granted based on circumstances. Congratulations, you have earned one chance.”
Tang An noticed from the light screen that the Cart Titan wasn’t even considered a secondary antagonist.
Not wanting to get angry, he began rolling the dice.
Additionally, he still had one chance left from the reward of the sixth natural month. Combining this with the reward for killing Zeke, he had two chances in total.
Unknowingly, he had been in this world for half a year.
He rolled the dice for the natural month, and the model plane crossed five spaces.
“A pack of Diamond Furongwang cigarettes.”
“Description: One of the top three high-end cigarette brands, highly favored by consumers…”
Tang An’s eyes lit up as he saw the item he had drawn.
In his previous life, he smoked, and though he hadn’t thought much about it since crossing over, this trashy golden finger actually provided him with a pack of high-end cigarettes. He had heard of Diamond Furongwang but never tried them.
Impatiently, he opened the pack, lit a cigarette, and closed his eyes. After a while, he exhaled smoke through his nose, his face filled with satisfaction.
The familiar feeling was back.
This roll was pretty good, though it was a shame there was only one pack.
He rolled the dice again, and the model plane crossed three spaces.
“A large gold chain.”
“Description: As a symbol of a nouveau riche, a large gold chain is essential to display the qualities of newfound wealth.”
Tang An’s face turned cold as he held the cigarette and closed the light screen in frustration.
Do I look like a nouveau riche?
Didn’t you see me smoking Diamond Furongwang?
Not every nouveau riche wears a big gold chain.
Tang An flicked the ash from his cigarette, looking at the vast sea. The other side was probably the Marley Empire.
Now, only the War Hammer Titan, the Attack Titan, and the Founding Titan were left to deal with.
“First, I’ll get used to the abilities of the Cart Titan and the Beast Titan,” Tang An decided, jumping off the dam and using Moonwalk to fly quickly toward the Forest of Giant Trees.
He remembered that the Beast Titan could extract its spinal fluid, mix it into beverages, and then activate it with a roar, turning Indians who drank it into mindless Titans and controlling them.
This was a beneficial ability.
Maybe it was time to visit the world inside the walls.
Spending half a month in the Forest of Giant Trees, Tang An got used to the abilities of the Cart Titan and the Beast Titan, especially the Beast Titan. He also continued practicing Soru, moonwalking, and basic physical training, making his schedule quite tight.
The night sky was filled with sparkling stars.
Tang An stood on Wall Maria, looking in the direction of Wall Rose, and jumped down.
Half a month ago, Eren used hardening to seal the outer gate of Wall Maria. During these past two weeks, the Survey Corps had been clearing the mindless Titans within Wall Maria. Once all the mindless Titans were cleared, Wall Maria would be fully reclaimed.
However, this task couldn’t be completed in a short time. Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sheena—Wall Maria was the largest in area, and clearing all the mindless Titans within it would take at least five to six months. The original story took a whole year to clear.
Tang An’s targets this time were Eren and Zhou Wei. He wouldn’t rush in unthinkingly but planned to use the Beast Titan’s ability to ensure the Survey Corps, Military Police, and Garrison Regiment drank the spinal fluid-laced beverages, ideally including Zhou Wei. This would make dealing with them much more accessible.
Despite gaining the power of six Titans, Tang An remained as cautious as ever.
The next day, Tang An made some minor disguises and went to a shop owned by a key figure in his plan. This person ran a business that included selling alcoholic beverages, ranking among the top ten in the market within the walls. This meant many high-ranking, mid-level and even ordinary people bought his products.
Tang An’s goal was to infiltrate this person’s cellar and pour the spinal fluid he had collected over the past half month into the source of their supply.
Afterward, it was just a matter of waiting.
Not just this cellar; Tang An planned to target other cellars too, ensuring his plan’s success.
To store the spinal fluid, Tang An emptied a gas cylinder, filling it with the fluid.
“Is the boss not in?”
Entering the shop, Tang An found the owner absent; only Atel was there.
“You… you’re not dead.”
Atel was surprised to see Tang An. After several months of no contact, he thought Tang An had died.
“I was injured in battle and retired.”
Tang An raised his left hand, showing his missing thumb and index finger. If he wished, these fingers could regrow quickly, thanks to his Titan powers.
“I see.”
Atel didn’t think much of it. He was just an errand boy.
“The boss went to the brewing cellar three days ago. I heard they’re working on a new kind of wine.”
“Oh?”
Tang An’s eyebrows twitched. This was precisely what he needed.
“Where’s the cellar?”
“It’s on the west side of Wall Rose…”
Atel didn’t hesitate to share. The cellar was heavily secured, with many hired guards.
Many wine merchants did the same, hiring many people to guard their brewing bases so their locations weren’t hidden but heavily protected.
“Do you know the locations of other famous wine merchants’ brewing bases?”
“Yes, in the southern district…”
Atel listed over ten locations. These places were well-known to many.
“This gold coin is for you. Pretend you never saw me.”
Tang An tossed one of his last few gold coins to Atel.
“No problem.”
Atel’s eyes lit up at the sight of the gold coin.
With the information he needed, Tang An left the shop but waited to act. He found a place to have a good meal first.
For evil deeds, one should act at night!
It’s always been this way, but unfortunately, Tang An didn’t have night vision gear.
Late at night, a figure quickly disappeared into Wall Rose.
Tang An’s first target was a wine merchant’s brewing base in the southern district. He had already scouted and planned all the routes during the day.
This was an estate with five or six patrols carrying torches, maintaining tight security.
But this was fine for Tang An. Using Moonwalk, he flew over the estate under cover of darkness, landing silently and then using Soru to disappear.
After bypassing the heavy guards, he reached the central area and took out the gas cylinder.
Tang An had discovered half a month ago that items stored in gas cylinders could be stored in his golden finger space as long as there was a gas cylinder.
Pouring the spinal fluid into the wine pool, Tang An left as silently as he had come.
Next, he needed to head to the outskirts, transform into the Beast Titan, and extract more spinal fluid from the body.
The task was arduous.
