Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 6
“You want to fight?”
Sabo didn’t panic after kicking a pirate away. Instead, he looked calmly at Bluejam.
“Get them!”
The surrounding pirates began to close in, and Sabo gripped his pipe tightly, ready for anything.
Suddenly, a barrel rolled down from a high place, smashing and scattering, with Ace and Luffy jumping out.
“Ace, Luffy!”
Sabo sighed in relief. Thirty or so pirates were too many for him alone, but with Ace and Luffy, they might stand a chance.
“Sabo, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
The three of them stood back to back, forming a triangle. Each held a pipe and watched the pirates around them.
“As long as we work together, we don’t need to fear these guys.”
Ace was not scared; in fact, he seemed eager to fight.
“We even took down the giant tiger on Mt. Colubo.”
Luffy, wearing his straw hat, was also fearless, grinning defiantly at the pirates.
Tang An didn’t make a move; he just held his short sword and helped surround them.
“Damn brats.”
One of the pirates cursed, anger flashing in his eyes.
“If we want to end this quickly, we need to take out the captain fast.”
As Ace spoke, the three of them rushed towards Bluejam in unison, showing great teamwork.
Bluejam didn’t move much. He simply pulled the flintlock pistol from his waist and fired at Ace, but he missed.
That shot caused Ace and the others to halt.
“Stay still, kids.”
“Hmph, that thing is useless. Luffy, Sabo!”
Ace snorted, then charged at Bluejam.
Simultaneously, Sabo and Luffy flanked from the sides.
However, they forgot about the thirty or so pirates around them.
Bang! Bang!
In the ensuing melee, five or six pirates were quickly taken down.
Tang An moved slowly, following behind.
Ace, Sabo, and Luffy’s strength was impressive. Even with Bluejam’s pistol as a threat, they managed to defeat many pirates.
But in the end, they were captured.
The three of them were pinned to the ground, unable to move.
“Looks like I arrived just in time.”
As Tang An prepared to act, a group of thirty or so guards carrying flintlock rifles appeared in the distance, led by Sabo’s father, Outlook III.
“Father.”
Held by two pirates, Sabo’s face changed.
Ace and Luffy, who had been struggling, were also stunned.
“Not a scratch on him.”
Bluejam smiled, gesturing for the pirates to bring Sabo over.
“These two are the ones who led Sabo astray.”
Outlook III glanced at Sabo before focusing on Ace and Luffy.
“Give Sabo back to us.”
Luffy clenched his fists, furious.
“You don’t understand what ‘give back’ means. Sabo is my son. Did you entice him to run away from home because of our family’s wealth?”
Outlook III looked down on them with disdain.
“You bastard!”
Ace gritted his teeth.
“Kill them.”
Outlook III ordered coldly, looking at Ace and Luffy as if they were trash.
“Father, I…”
Sabo began to speak, but—
Thunk!
The sound of a blade piercing flesh. A chipped short sword protruded from Ace’s chest, right through his heart.
Hot blood dripped from his mouth, and Ace’s body trembled. He looked down at the blood-stained blade, his face contorted with pain.
“Ace…”
“Ace!”
Pinned to the ground, Luffy’s eyes widened in horror as he struggled fiercely.
Sabo’s mind went blank.
Even the pirates holding Ace, along with Bluejam and Outlook III, were stunned. They all stared at Tang An in shock.
The moment Outlook III gave the order, Tang An acted without hesitation.
“Damn it, let me go! Ace!”
Luffy cried out, tears streaming down his face.
“What are you doing?”
The pirate holding Ace let go, and Tang An pulled out the sword.
He had aimed for the heart, ensuring no chance of survival.
“Didn’t the noble lord say to kill them?”
Tang An glanced at the dying Ace, whose face was rapidly turning pale and whose breathing was weakening.
After all, he was following Outlook III’s orders, making the noble the primary responsible party.
“Luffy, Sabo…”
Ace’s consciousness began to fade, his face full of regret.
He hadn’t set sail yet, hadn’t fulfilled his dream…
“Wah… wah… Ace.”
Luffy was on the verge of collapse, watching Ace slowly close his eyes. He struggled desperately, but the pirate behind him held him firmly to the ground.
Tang An approached Luffy next.
With a swift motion, he stabbed Luffy, pinning him to the ground.
“Ah…”
Luffy screamed, blood quickly staining the ground.
“No, Luffy!”
Sabo’s eyes widened in horror as he struggled desperately.
“Sabo, Ace!”
Luffy’s cries slowly ceased, his face full of fear and tears.
“Forget it.”
Outlook III lost interest in staying in this filthy place.
As the guards took Sabo, he turned and left the scene.
“Let me go! Ace… Luffy…”
Sabo’s heart-wrenching screams faded into the distance. Tang An pulled out the sword, his eyes glinting.
A child of destiny and an important supporting character. He was confident he would draw something valuable.
He wished he could kill Sabo, too, but there was no chance now.
Next, he needed to find a way to leave the Goa Kingdom and avoid the Revolutionary Army and Garp’s pursuit.
The thought sent a chill down Tang An’s spine.
But he would do it again if given the chance.
“Well done.”
Bluejam was pleased with Tang An’s actions, and Outlook III seemed satisfied, too, having paid Bluejam a lot of money.
Bluejam had also reached an agreement with the king: if he burned the Terminal of Uncertainty, he would become a noble of the Goa Kingdom and build good relations with Outlook III.
The deaths of two kids were inconsequential to him.
Shortly after they left, a gust of wind blew through the Terminal of Uncertainty, and a cloaked figure appeared beside Ace and Luffy’s bodies.
Seeing Luffy lying in a pool of blood, a terrifying aura spread from the Terminal of Uncertainty, quickly enveloping the entire Goa Kingdom.
The previously clear sky was now filled with rolling dark clouds, with countless lightning bolts striking down like a doomsday scene.
In Edge Town and the central streets, thugs and civilians, as well as the animals on Mt. Colubo, all collapsed with white eyes.
Back on the pirate ship, just as Bluejam finished announcing a party for the night and the pirates cheered, a terrifying pressure hit them.
Everyone collapsed, unconscious.
Tang An felt a sharp pain in his head dropping to his knees, drenched in sweat and filled with terror.
But his tough life and cancer had forged a strong will, and being far enough from the Terminal of Uncertainty, he managed to endure.
His only thought now was to leave the Goa Kingdom.
Ace and Luffy’s bodies were probably discovered, and this pressure likely came from someone with Conqueror’s Haki.
In the original story, Dragon was in the East Blue around this time, so it was probably him.
It could also be Garp.
In any case, the Goa Kingdom was no longer safe.
Once the pressure subsided, Tang An, soaked in sweat, shakily got up and looked around at the unconscious Bluejam and pirates; his face hardened as he gripped his sword.
He needed this ship, so all these pirates had to die.
Quickly killing all the pirates and tossing their bodies overboard, Tang An spared only the helmsman.
Tang An forcefully woke him up and threatened him with the pistol, and the pirate ship began to leave the shore.
