Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 65
Tang An’s right foot, surrounded by golden lightning, swept through the air toward Muzan with overwhelming force, leaving no room for evasion.
Muzan’s crimson eyes changed. Tang An’s sudden attack, with its sheer speed, caught him off guard.
Raising a hand to block, Muzan felt like a mountain had struck him. His right hand couldn’t withstand the immense force, and the blow landed squarely on his chest, sending him flying like a cannonball. Explosions erupted along his path as he struggled to regain control.
Tang An landed gracefully, exhaling smoke from his mouth, flicking the cigarette between his fingers.
Behind him, Mitsuri pressed her hands against her skirt, her wide eyes filled with stars as she gazed at Tang An’s back in awe. She hadn’t even seen how he moved.
So cool!
Mitsuri was utterly smitten, her eyes only on Tang An.
In the distance, a whirlwind rose as Muzan emerged from the rubble, his crimson eyes now wholly blood-red. His once-black hair had turned white, and his limbs and lower body were covered in blood and hair, with giant, toothed mouths emerging all over his body.
This was Muzan’s complete form, the actual demon form.
Tang An’s previous kick had taken Muzan by surprise.
Exhaling a puff of smoke and seeing Muzan emerge unscathed, Tang An frowned slightly.
“With your strength, you shouldn’t grow old and die. Become an Upper Moon demon!” Muzan’s face bore an evil smile as he extended an olive branch to Tang An.
The reason Muzan appeared here was not only to see Tang An but also to recruit him.
“I’ve never fought seriously before, and I want to test my limits,” Tang An replied, feeling immense pressure, but it was precisely what he needed.
Perhaps only this person before him could make him fight with all his might.
It was the perfect opportunity to test his full power.
Tang An untied the Nichiren Blade from his waist and tossed it to Mitsuri, preparing to fight bare-handed.
To be honest, Tang An enjoyed the feeling of close combat, the sensation of beating his enemies to a pulp with his bare fists.
He relished the experience of physically overpowering and defeating his foes.
“Tanjiro?” Mitsuri caught the Nichiren Blade in a panic, utterly bewildered.
Was Tang An planning to fight Muzan Kibutsuji with his bare hands?
“Mitsuri, I told you I’m strong. Nichirin Blades work on other demons, but not on him. His only weakness is the sun,” Tang An reassured her with a confident look.
Muzan’s smirk confirmed Tang An’s words. His weakness was indeed the sun, not Nichirin Blades.
Even if a Nichirin Blade severed his head, he wouldn’t disintegrate like other demons.
Mitsuri clutched the Nichiren Blade tightly, her face complete with concern.
“Snap!”
Tang An snapped his fingers, and the battle BGM “Victory” began to play.
The stirring, powerful, and intense melody filled the air as Tang An approached Muzan. A golden storm started to swirl around him, and pieces of golden armor—helmet, earring, shoulder guards, chest plate, goggles, and boots—assembled themselves onto Tang An as if they had a life of their own.
The clinking of the armor’s components sent chills down one’s spine.
Simultaneously, Thunder Breathing pushed Tang An’s abilities to the limit, causing golden lightning to flicker around him.
At that moment, Tang An looked like a god.
Behind him, Mitsuri struggled to remain calm, mesmerized by Tang An’s majestic presence.
Both Tang An and Muzan had incredibly striking appearances.
Fully armored in gold, Tang An crouched slightly. The ground beneath him cracked like a spiderweb, forming a large pit with a deafening roar as he vanished.
At the same time, Muzan also disappeared.
“Boom!”
At the center of their collision, their fists clashed, creating shockwaves that shattered the area within a fifty-meter radius, sending debris flying. A golden streak and a crimson streak soared into the sky.
“Bang! Bang!”
Under the night sky, lightning flashed as Tang An unleashed his full power.
Even so, Muzan could match him blow for blow.
In the original story, Muzan is defeated by the protagonist team because Tamayo injects him with four types of medicine.
These four medicines were what led to Muzan’s downfall.
One turned him back into a human.
Another aged him fifty years per minute, aging Muzan over nine thousand years.
A third one hindered his cell division.
After these three medicines took effect, the fourth one started destroying his cells.
Without these four medicines, even all the Hashira combined wouldn’t have been able to defeat Muzan.
So Tang An was now facing Muzan in his prime, not the weakened version affected by the medicines.
With the battle BGM playing, Tang An’s power was doubled, but only for 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
“Swish…”
Tang An’s right hand hardened in the sky as he punched Muzan. Muzan blocked with his right hand while his left hand, with claws gleaming, aimed for Tang An’s throat.
Tang An didn’t dodge, his neck hardening as he launched his left hand like a dragon striking out.
Blood sprayed from Muzan’s mouth, his eyes filled with astonishment.
He couldn’t break Tang An’s neck.
It felt like grabbing steel, not flesh and blood.
At first, Muzan thought Tang An’s armor was natural, but he realized it wasn’t after fighting. It had no substance.
Then why was Tang An’s body as hard as iron?
The ground shook, collapsing several houses and raising clouds of dust. Muzan, lying amidst the rubble, pushed aside the debris, his eyes coldly fixed on Tang An, who stood on a utility pole.
Meanwhile, Matsuri was evacuating the people, looking at Tang An on the pole like a god.
Tang An’s bare hands had knocked back Muzan.
This was the progenitor of all demons.
“Four minutes and thirty seconds left.”
The golden lightning vanished as Tang An reappeared above Muzan.
“Boom…”
The ground shifted, and Tang An’s hardened right foot sank into the soil. Seeing Muzan appear ten meters away, he vanished again in a flash of lightning.
In the village’s intricate alleyways, golden lightning and crimson streaks flashed continuously, causing explosions and kicking up dirt and dust.
With a loud crash, Tang An crashed through several houses and landed on a hillside, fissures spreading a meter wide as he pulled his hands from the ground and stood up.
Golden lightning flickered around him, and steam rose as his Titan-like regeneration healed his wounds.
Opposite him, Muzan’s face was grim, his wounds quickly healing and regenerating.
Fortunately, Tang An hadn’t used a Nichirin Blade, or Muzan wouldn’t have recovered so quickly.
While Muzan wasn’t afraid of Nichiren Blades, the difference in lethality between having and not having a weapon was significant.
“Awesome!”
Tang An roared, the battle BGM reaching its climax.
In a flash, Tang An appeared before Muzan, his right foot sweeping horizontally with equal force.
Muzan didn’t block but dodged and countered with an uppercut. Tang An leaned back, kicking upwards at Muzan’s chin.
Muzan stepped back, dodging again as Tang An flipped over, using his hands to spring off the ground and sweep his leg again.
Muzan blocked with one hand and kicked at Tang An’s chest with the other.
“Swish swish…”
The surrounding ground was torn up, and amidst the flying debris, the two appeared ten meters apart, their fists colliding and disappearing again, reappearing in the sky with their knees clashing.
“Spurt…”
Both spat blood, separating as their bodies rapidly healed. The close-quarters combat was dazzling, swift, and incredibly dangerous.
When I planned to write this book, I anticipated many people would curse me.
