Reincarnated in One Piece - Chapter 74
“If possible, I’d love to visit the One Piece world. Doflamingo and I are quite similar!”
Racing through the mountains and valleys, Wang Xu continuously shot thread bullets from his hands. The two clashed repeatedly, each bearing multiple wounds and covered in blood.
Tang An was at a disadvantage, with far more wounds than Wang Xu. Wang Xu’s sixth sense allowed him to dodge attacks easily. Additionally, despite firing a thousand rounds per minute without needing reloading, the Gatling gun had a one-minute cooldown period, which was a critical weakness.
Tang An realized that Wang Xu was well-versed in the Demon Slayer and One Piece worlds, given his mention of Doflamingo and their apparent camaraderie.
Damn, these overpowered cheaters.
It became clear to Tang An that he couldn’t defeat Wang Xu without the War BGM. Even upgrading his Nichirin Blade to a red blade might not help, given that common logic rarely applied to otherworldly travelers.
Unsure of Wang Xu’s full capabilities, Tang An knew he couldn’t hold out until dawn, which was still two and a half hours away. He realized he had overestimated himself. Due to Wang Xu being a demon, his stamina seemed limitless, whereas Tang An had to expend energy both in fighting and healing.
Wang Xu was like an automatic engine, while Tang An was a manual one. There was no way he could outlast him.
Tang An knew he had to retreat. It wasn’t worth risking his life in a hopeless fight. Flexibility and strategic withdrawal were the actual paths to survival.
He quickly made up his mind. Pulling out an object, he threw it at Wang Xu.
“Check out my secret weapon!”
Wang Xu instinctively braced himself, but when a suffocating stench hit him, his eyes widened in shock.
It was a pair of socks emitting black fumes.
The odor was suffocating.
These were socks Tang An had obtained from killing Eren and Zhou Wei. They were described as potent enough to easily knock out a wild boar, and the level of lethality was evident.
Even as a demon, Wang Xu had a keen sense of smell. The stench made him feel faint and hallucinations.
“Crack!”
Tang An vanished in a flash of gold lightning without hesitation, grabbing Zenitsu by the collar.
Mitsuri and Shinobu had just defeated Wang Xu’s clones. The farther the clones were from the original, the weaker they became.
“It’s Tang An…”
Hearing the sound of lightning mixed with screams, Mitsuri saw a golden flash racing towards them.
“Retreat, the enemy is too strong.”
Tang An didn’t stop, scooping up Mitsuri by the waist. “Grab Shinobu and the others, we’re retreating.”
“Got it.”
Mitsuri sensed the gravity in Tang An’s voice and grabbed Shinobu and Kanao.
“You idiot, grab those two.”
Tang An shouted at the crying Zenitsu, who frantically grabbed Tanjiro and Inosuke. Tanjiro, using his last bit of strength, held Nezuko tightly.
They shot out of Spider Mountain like an arrow, surrounded by golden lightning.
“Are we really just running away like this?”
Shinobu, still airborne, asked while looking at the rapidly receding scenery.
“As long as we live, we’ll have more chances. We need to retreat now!”
Tang An, combining Thunder Breathing and Soru, moved at full speed, leaving a trail of explosions in the mountainous terrain.
“Oh no, he’s catching up!”
Zenitsu, holding Tanjiro and Inosuke, saw the rapidly approaching figure behind them, terrified.
Tanjiro, Inosuke, Mitsuri, Shinobu, Kanao, and Nezuko all instinctively looked back. They were flying through the air while Tang An sprinted on the ground.
“He doesn’t have the Twelve Kizuki mark.”
Despite her smile, Shinobu’s eyes were serious.
“He’s even more terrifying than Muzan Kibutsuji.”
Tang An accelerated, preferring to face native protagonists and villains rather than these overpowered travelers.
Native characters could be managed with knowledge of the plot, but travelers and reincarnators, with their various cheats, raised the difficulty to hellish levels.
Tang An wouldn’t risk his life unless he were confident of victory. He’d do it to survive, even if it meant running away like a coward.
Pride couldn’t fill an empty stomach.
Having the chance to live again and control his destiny, Tang An wouldn’t give it up quickly. He’d use any means to achieve his goals and stay alive.
The victors wrote history.
“He’s catching up!”
Zenitsu cried, snot and tears flying everywhere, covering Tanjiro and Inosuke.
“Disgusting! I’ll cut you!”
Inosuke, with broken bones, looked ready to kill Zenitsu.
“Hold on tight.”
Tang An felt the rapidly approaching presence without looking back. He could only hope Wang Xu couldn’t fly.
“What… what are you going to do?”
Zenitsu’s voice trembled.
Mitsuri, Shinobu, and Kanao also looked at Tang An.
“Boom!”
Tang An leaped forward, the ground within a ten-meter radius collapsing. He shot up like a cannonball.
“Ahhh!”
The sudden flight scared everyone.
Especially Zenitsu, who wailed like a ghost.
“Sizzle…”
They soared over a hundred meters, surrounded by golden lightning, transforming into a golden beam shooting towards the horizon.
“We’re flying… we’re really flying.”
Zenitsu, with tears streaming, stared dumbfounded at the endless night sky.
“Wow!”
Shinobu, Mitsuri, and Kanao’s eyes sparkled, amazed by the sensation of flight.
“You’re all so heavy.”
Tang An’s sudden comment broke the beautiful and serene moment, making everyone’s faces darken.
Combining Thunder Breathing and Moonwalk, Tang An’s speed could have doubled if he were alone.
But with the extra weight, the speed was less than ideal.
“Seems our trouble isn’t over yet!”
Shinobu laughed lightly.
Everyone turned back to see Wang Xu catching up.
“How is this possible?”
Tanjiro was stunned. Even demons could fly?
Tang An glanced back, cursing inwardly.
Wang Xu was using nearly invisible threads to latch onto clouds, flying through the air at high speed.
Just like Do flamingo’s abilities.
“What do we do… what do we do…”
Zenitsu panicked, crying out in fear of the terrifying demon behind them.
“Mitsuri, break up those clouds on both sides. He’s using them to fly.”
If it came down to it, Tang An was ready to abandon these people, and he’d kill them first.
They could only die by his hand.
But this would leave him uncertain about becoming immune to sunlight as a demon.
