Tachibana Ukyo in Naruto World - Chapter 3
Just after returning to the village, a lively voice suddenly echoed from not far away.
“Ah! Kakashi, don’t think you can escape!”
“Come on, let’s have a showdown!”
Looking in the direction of the voice, a boy in green tight clothes was chasing Kakashi relentlessly.
From his appearance, it was easy to recognize who he was.
Might Guy!
The future Blue Beast of Konoha!
Was Kakashi being cornered?
Seeing Kakashi’s helpless expression, Tenya found it amusing.
With a leap, he stood on a nearby rooftop, watching the scene as if it didn’t concern him.
“Take this, Kakashi!”
“Leaf Hurricane!”
Might Guy charged forward, delivering a fierce roundhouse kick towards Kakashi.
“……”
Kakashi noticed Tenya watching from the side.
He was about to say something, but before he could, Might Guy’s attack was already upon him.
Kakashi had to swallow his words.
Glancing at Tenya, he sidestepped Might Guy’s attack and countered with a roundhouse kick of his own.
Might Guy blocked Kakashi’s kick, looking as energetic as ever.
“Kakashi, this time I’ll definitely beat you! Take this!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
In an instant, the two engaged in fierce combat.
It was hard to determine a winner!
As in the original story, Might Guy considered Kakashi his lifelong rival. He always trained hard and constantly challenged Kakashi.
At first, their taijutsu matches were evenly matched.
But over time, Might Guy gradually gained the upper hand.
Tenya was not surprised by this.
After all, Might Guy was able to master the Eight Gates technique to the eighth gate, showing his extraordinary talent in taijutsu.
In the vast Konoha, besides his father Might Duy, he was the only one who could master the Eight Gates technique to the eighth gate.
However, Might Guy had not yet reached his full potential.
While his taijutsu prowess might indeed surpass Kakashi’s, relying solely on taijutsu to defeat Kakashi was still unlikely.
Because Kakashi knew not only taijutsu but also genjutsu and ninjutsu.
Any one of these would nullify the advantage Might Guy had painstakingly built up.
Having just lost to Tenya, Kakashi was not in a good mood.
Guy’s relentless pursuit only worsened his mood.
Seeing that he was falling behind in taijutsu, Kakashi didn’t hesitate to use his Lightning Release ninjutsu.
Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!
With a burst of lightning, Might Guy let out a strange cry and was sent flying uncontrollably backward.
At this moment, Guy’s face was charred, his hair standing on end, emitting a burnt smell.
However, his body had not suffered serious injuries, just some superficial wounds.
“Damn it…”
Guy spat out a puff of white smoke, his face full of unwillingness.
He knew Kakashi had held back.
Otherwise, that Lightning Release ninjutsu would have seriously injured him, not just caused some superficial wounds.
Getting up from the ground, Guy knew he had lost, but he didn’t intend to admit defeat.
“Kakashi, next time… I will… beat you…”
Kakashi sighed helplessly, shaking his head at Guy. “Guy, I suggest you find another opponent! Stop targeting me. Gekkou Tenya is much stronger than me. You can challenge him!”
“Tenya-senpai?”
“Isn’t he always unwell?”
“Is he really that strong?”
Guy got up from the ground, looking puzzled.
“Very strong!”
Kakashi nodded affirmatively.
“How strong?”
Guy’s eyes lit up, looking eager.
“You’ll know once you fight him!” Kakashi paused and continued, “He’s right there; you can challenge him!”
“Where?”
Guy looked around but didn’t see anyone.
“Isn’t he right there… Wait, where did he go?”
Turning his head, Kakashi looked at the rooftop where Tenya had been standing, only to find it empty.
Tenya had quietly left at some point.
Kakashi’s face stiffened.
When did Tenya leave? He hadn’t noticed at all.
This is embarrassing!
Following Kakashi’s gaze, Guy still saw nothing, a hint of suspicion on his face.
“Kakashi, are you seeing things?”
Kakashi didn’t respond, not knowing what to say, so he chose silence.
“I thought so?” the guy analyzed seriously. Tenya-senpai is always unwell and has a bad cough. His body surely can’t withstand a few of my punches. Kakashi, you must have mistaken him!”
Tenya’s body was indeed not great and had a bad cough, but he was genuinely strong!
Kakashi had always been recognized as a genius.
Yet, so far, in all his challenges, he had never beaten Tenya.
Each time, he lost to Tenya.
That man’s swordsmanship was extraordinary; even with his father’s White Fang techniques, he still couldn’t match up to Tenya.
“Kakashi, that’s it for today, I’m going back to train. Next time, I’ll challenge you again!”
Saying this, Guy gave Kakashi a thumbs-up and quickly disappeared from Kakashi’s sight.
Watching Guy leave, Kakashi felt a wave of helplessness.
This plan to divert trouble had utterly failed!
In the future, there would be endless trouble!
Thinking of Guy’s incessant challenges, Kakashi felt a headache coming on.
It seemed he needed to work harder!
Otherwise, he might not be able to suppress Guy, let alone defeat Tenya.
As for Gekkou Tenya, he had already left after Kakashi and Guy’s fight ended.
Walking through the village streets, recalling Kakashi and Guy’s battle, Tenya couldn’t help but smile.
Those two were truly lifelong rivals and friends.
Perhaps it was this competitive relationship that kept them striving to become stronger.
To meet a powerful opponent in one’s life is fortunate, but to meet a lifelong friend is rare.
Meeting both was indeed a kind of luck.
In the original story, if Kakashi hadn’t been burdened by Obito’s Sharingan, he might have become even stronger.
Walking along familiar streets, Tenya encountered someone.
Hiruko!
So it’s him!
This Konoha ninja, contemporaneous with Orochimaru, had similar ambitions.
If Orochimaru sought immortality, then Hiruko pursued the limits of Kekkei Genkai.
In the original story, Hiruko developed the Chimera Technique and had four Kekkei Genkai himself.
Given more time, he might indeed develop abilities similar to Bloodline Selection or Bloodline Web.
He was a scientific genius on par with Orochimaru.
However, recently, Hiruko had been appearing around Tenya more frequently.
Could it be that he had set his sights on Tenya’s Kekkei Genkai?
Quite likely!
This is trouble!
Outwardly calm, Tenya became more vigilant inwardly.
They passed each other silently, like two strangers.
But after passing, Tenya clearly felt a gaze on his back, precisely targeting him.
Indeed, he was being watched!
Not until he turned a corner did the gaze finally disappear.
It seemed he needed to be careful!
Though he had the strength of an elite Chunin, fighting a Jonin would still be challenging.
If his role-playing progress increased and unlocked new abilities, he might be able to handle an ordinary Jonin like Hiruko.
Not necessarily to defeat a Jonin, but self-preservation would be achievable.
Right, he had just won a B-rank sword technique scroll from Kakashi!
Learning this technique might increase his role-playing progress.
Thinking of this, Tenya couldn’t help but feel a bit excited.
