The Pirate: Dark Admiral - Chapter 19
“Haa! Haa! Haa!”
On the Navy training ground, a tall swordsman was sweating profusely as he trained.
A young officer lying on a chair sunbathing stretched lazily and said, “Hey, Penn-senpai, it’s vacation time now. Don’t you plan to take a break?”
“Huff, huff!” The much more muscular T-Penn panted, “No way, to catch up to Longinus, I have to work even harder.”
“You still haven’t given up that unrealistic dream? Rougishuis a monster among monsters. People like us will never catch up to him. We just need to cheer him on from behind.”
Seeing that Penn wasn’t listening, the young officer sighed, “Penn-senpai, reality is cruel. You have to learn to accept it. In this world, it’s not just about talent, it’s about those who have talent and work harder than you.”
“Just look at Longinus’ training. Is it something humans can do? Training his body in the deep sea, endurance in lava, willpower in glaciers, understanding nature in lightning, standing firm in storms, and controlling power in swamps.”
“Tell me, are these things normal people can do?”
“As you said, if a genius like Rougishuworks so hard, then ordinary people like me shouldn’t stop moving forward,” Penn said, swinging his sword repeatedly with unwavering determination.
“Haha, you’re not an ordinary person either!” the young officer retorted, exasperated.
“Something’s wrong! Something’s wrong!” A Navy soldier came running, out of breath. “Captain Gregory, Lieutenant Penn, Major Rougishuhas been captured.”
“Pfft!” In shock, Gregory spat out his tea, “What kind of joke is this? How could someone like Rougishube captured? Was it one of the big pirates from the New World?”
“No, it wasn’t,” the soldier said, shaking his head frantically. “It was the vice-captain of the Giant Axe Pirates.”
Gregory’s eyes widened, and even T-Penn stopped swinging his sword, muttering, “The vice-captain of the Giant Axe Pirates? That small fry with a 27 million bounty? Even if a hundred of them came, they wouldn’t stand a chance against Longinus.”
“Honestly, I don’t think any pirate in the first half of the Grand Line could give Rougishutrouble!” Gregory said, spreading his hands helplessly.
“Of course, those pirates wouldn’t be a match for Major Longinus, but they were too despicable. They threatened innocent civilians’ lives, so Major Rougishuhandcuffed himself with Seastone cuffs to trade himself as a hostage. He has already been taken off Sunset Island.”
“He handcuffed himself with Seastone cuffs? Damn, even Rougishucan’t break free in that situation!” Penn’s face changed drastically, hurriedly gathering his weapons. “Quick, send a team to follow those pirates.”
“Penn-senpai, calm down. We don’t know why Major Rougishumade this decision, but trust me, he never fights a battle he can’t win. In the end, it will be the pirates who suffer,” Gregory analyzed calmly.
“Besides, you know how strong Major Rougishuis. Those small pirates with a bounty of one or two thousand won’t stand a chance against him even with all their tricks.”
Hearing Gregory’s explanation, Penn’s face relaxed slightly, but he didn’t stop, “You’re right, but I still can’t stand by and do nothing.”
“Hehe, no one is asking you to do nothing. Just get ready to welcome him back. Leave the rest to me!” Gregory said, his body rapidly expanding, his eyes sharp, beak hooked, and wings like blades. He let out a clear, loud cry.
“The Captain’s ability, Bird-Bird Fruit: Model Golden Eagle, one of the world’s rare ‘five’ flying abilities!” the reporting soldier said enviously.
Gregory flapped his wings and soared into the sky like an arrow.
Penn stopped and muttered, “With Gregory’s ability, Rougishuwill surely be saved safely!”
…
“Hahaha! I got the treasure map of the great pirate Hobbit! I’m going to become one of the greatest pirates in this sea!” Scarface Bart laughed maniacally, clutching the treasure map.
“The great, wise, and powerful Captain Bart will lead us to complete the grand voyage, standing at the pinnacle of all pirates, becoming the Pirate King praised by the world!” A pirate flattered skillfully, then cautiously asked, “But Captain, what do we do with that Navy guy? He’s an important figure. If we kill him, we’ll gain unimaginable fame, but we’ll also be on the Navy’s kill list!”
Bart’s face darkened, and he sneered, “Do you think we have a chance to make peace with the Navy? A pirate crew that openly attacks towns and kidnaps a Navy major will definitely be a primary target for the Navy!”
Cursing his luck, Bart thought that if Locke hadn’t been too scared to escape, he could have thrown him out to appease the Navy’s anger. Now, they were in a complete standoff.
“So, what should we do, Captain?” a pirate asked nervously. No pirate dared to anger the Navy ultimately; otherwise, their punishment would be far more severe than a regular bounty.
“Heh, we might as well use that guy as a stepping stone. If we make a name for ourselves, powerful people from all over will come to join us. We might even be able to stand against the Navy!” Bart laughed as he led his crew to the island prison where Rougishuwas held. He planned to cement his authority with the blood of the legendary major.
But as he opened the prison door, his grin froze.
The familiar Seastone handcuffs were on the ground, and Rougishustood was there stretching. The pirates guarding him lay in pools of blood.
“You, you, you…” Bart stuttered, feeling a chill run up his spine as if he were in a horror movie. His blood and soul seemed frozen in fear, and he was unable to speak coherently.
“Oh, you want to know how I broke free from the Seastone handcuffs?” Rougishuasked with a gentle smile.
Bart nodded blankly, not knowing how to react.
“It’s simple, really. Just like this!” Rougishusaid, his long hair moving like snakes.
“Ahhh! A monster!”
