The Pirate: Dark Admiral - Chapter 28
Robin stood there, pitiful, weak, and helpless. She didn’t even plan to defend herself. She had never stolen anything, and it was impossible to share the abilities of the Devil Fruit.
Once captured, she knew that she would never escape if her abilities were exposed and Seastone restrained her. So she carefully concealed her abilities until the pirates let their guard down, allowing her to escape using her powers.
The pirates assumed she had stolen their captain’s Devil Fruit without trying to confirm it.
Robin also knew that although the other enslaved people didn’t say it, they might blame her in their hearts. But it didn’t matter. She had already lost hope and didn’t care about others’ opinions.
*(It seems many readers were dissatisfied with the setting that Robin didn’t eat the fruit in Ohara, so this is my way of forcefully justifying it. (?^?^?))*
Bang!
The door was violently pushed open.
“Kid, you’re right. It’s this world that’s always been wrong!” said the leader, dragging a spiked club that sparked against the ground as he and a large group of pirates walked in.
“I also wonder, why wasn’t my dad the richest man in the world? Why wasn’t my mom a high-ranking government official? Why can’t I be a noble who plays with women every day? It’s because life is inherently unfair that we end up as pirates!”
“If we had a choice, who wouldn’t want to be a good person?”
“Hahaha! The boss is right, we’re all good people!” the other pirates jeered.
The once noisy and chaotic prison fell silent. Even the boy mouthing off earlier fell silent, revealing his true nature as a coward who bullied the weak.
“Heh, this kid could be useful. In my experience, those who catch slaves with the most zeal are often people like him,” said the leader, looking at the boy who was now cowering in fear and losing interest in him. He then walked toward Robin, dragging his spiked club.
“Little girl, it seems I’ve been too kind to you. You didn’t appreciate the rare treatment. Not only did you escape, but you also stole the captain’s Devil Fruit. This time, I’ll have to break one of your legs.”
“After all, those big shots only care about what’s in your head. As for the rest…”
“Brother Longinus, should we…” Tina couldn’t bear to watch the leader raise his spiked club, seemingly ready to bring it down on Robin’s frail body.
“Yes, I will…”
“Ahhh!!!”
As Rougishuwas about to act, a heart-wrenching scream filled the room, the despair in the voice making him shiver slightly.
Rougishulooked closely, seeing the leader’s spiked club lying on the ground while the man himself was bent over, clutching his groin, pale-faced and drenched in sweat.
Rougishurecalled that in his otherworldly memories, Robin had once used a similar desperate measure on Franky in the original timeline.
“According to those memories, this guy has now become a ‘Santa Claus’,” thought Longinus, his body trembling not from fear but from a shared reaction as a man witnessing such a scene.
“Grab that damn kid! I’ll break every bone in her body!” the leader screamed in anger, his voice turning high-pitched and feminine.
The surrounding pirates hesitated, none daring to approach, for the punishment Robin inflicted was worse than death.
“You useless cowards! Do you want to die?” the leader shouted, but the pirates only lowered their heads in shame.
Now’s the time!
Rougishuseized the moment of hesitation, jumping out from the shadows. With swift, clean movements, he shattered the leader’s heart and appeared in the densest part of the pirate group, sweeping his leg with enough force to shatter steel, causing the pirates to fly apart in pieces.
Blood sprayed, and limbs flew. The scene was exceptionally bloody, causing the captured enslaved people to scream in terror.
This was the helplessness of a physical combat expert. Rougishuneeded a powerful area attack with mastering the Marine Six Powers, so he couldn’t hold back at all.
The other pirates snapped out of their daze, charging at Rougishuin a frenzy, but some wisely slipped away unnoticed.
The more he killed, the calmer he became!
Amid the carnage, Rougishufirst targeted the most threatening gunmen. Though they posed no danger to his life, they threatened his perfect rescue operation.
In his lightning-fast assault, seven armed pirates fell before they could even fire a shot.
With the gunmen neutralized, the cages meant to restrain the enslaved people became their best protection. Rougishucould now fight freely, taking just three seconds to kill all the pirates who hadn’t fled.
“The Marines have come to save us!”
“Thank goodness, we won’t have to be slaves!”
“Daddy, Mommy, I miss you!”
Despite the bloody scene, most of the enslaved people, except a few with overly kind hearts, were relieved. They had no love for the pirates who had captured them and were glad to see them dead.
“The Marines…” Amid the triumphant cries, Robin turned pale and backed away, feeling that only the cold cage behind her could offer some comfort.
“Brother Longinus, here’s the key!” Tina proudly handed over a set of keys she had found on the “dead eunuch.”
“Then I’ll leave the task of freeing them to you, Little Tina.”
“Tina will complete the mission!”
Rougishuwalked out, intending to deal with the loose ends.
Bang, bang, bang!
“Damn it, that idiot Ginyu locked all the doors!” The escaping pirates pounded on the door in frustration, their fear making them forget the strict hierarchy of the pirate ship.
“Why… why has the fighting stopped?” a pirate trembled, “Are they all dead?”
“Don’t scare yourself. It hasn’t been that long!”
“But Captain Ginyu was taken down in one blow. That Marine kid is a monster!”
“We need to find a way to break this iron door…”
Boom!
Without warning, the pirate speaking fell to the ground.
“Damn, it’s a silenced pistol. Take cover!”
“Six pirates, six bullets, just enough for each of you!”
With his powerful observation of Haki and the lack of long-range attacks, Rougishukept a pistol for these situations.
Although the pirates hid behind cover, they couldn’t escape his Observation Haki.
With a few muffled thuds as bodies hit the ground, the battle quickly ended.
Rougishureturned to the prison, where Tina and the rescued enslaved people greeted him with cheers.
“Thank goodness, we’re saved!”
“Thank you, Marine brother!”
Rougishusmiled warmly, his gentle demeanor calming everyone. “Rest for a while. Soon, more Marines will come to take you home.”
“But first, we have one last criminal to judge!”
