The Pirate: Dark Admiral - Chapter 3
“Kid, you’re getting too cocky!” The giant rhino’s eyes turned red as it suddenly charged with terrifying speed, destroying the ground as it barreled toward Rougishu Hyuga.
Facing Alex’s savage charge, Rougishu calmly leapt into the air, landing perfectly on the rhino’s back.
Alex was momentarily stunned, and then humiliation surged through him. He frantically bucked, trying to throw Rougishu off, but Rougishu’s legs were as steady as rocks as if rooted to his back. No matter how Alex struggled, it was in vain.
Seizing a moment of Alex’s wild thrashing, Rougishu punched the rhino’s vulnerable eyes.
“Moo!”
The rhino howled in pain, and in an instant, it reverted to a human-animal hybrid form, looking like a deformed minotaur with a horn growing out of its nose.
Rougishu took advantage of the situation and landed on the ground. Before Alex could adapt to the change in his form, Rougishu’s long leg whipped across his waist, sending him flying hundreds of meters and crashing through countless trees.
“Gulp!” The invading pirates swallowed hard, a chill rising in their hearts. Could their captain not defeat this kid, even in his transformed state?
“Argh!” Alex’s eyes turned red, steam puffing from his nostrils. He was already furious beyond reason.
Seeing Alex charge again, Rougishu frowned slightly. Zoan Devil Fruits significantly boosted physical abilities in the early stages. Alex had fully inherited the tough hide and immense strength of the Giant Rhino, which explained his repeated escapes from the Navy.
Even in his half-beast form, Alex stood over three meters tall, his muscles like iron. Charging forward, he resembled a granite golem trampling the earth.
But in front of Rougishu, this raging minotaur was as helpless as a paper toy. First, Rougishu shattered his knee with a kick, then another powerful blow to his waist forced Alex to kneel on the ground, roaring in anger.
Although the Devil Fruit granted Alex physical prowess, it did little for his agility, leaving him at Rougishu’s mercy.
However, Alex fought to the death, knowing his advantage lay in his resilience. He believed that even if he had to endure a hundred hits to get one chance, it was worth it. He also wondered if this kid could outlast his Zoan-enhanced stamina.
Alex crossed his arms, protecting his face, and with a glint of malice in his eyes, seized the moment Rougishu’s kick landed on his chest to grab Rougishu with his large hands.
“Kid, I’ve got you now!” Alex said, gripping Rougishu’s fists as if locked in a test of strength.
“No, I’ve got you!” Rougishu gradually broke free, forcing Alex’s hands down like arm-wrestling.
“How can your strength…?” Alex’s mouth opened wide in disbelief, trying to mask his shock with exaggerated acting.
“Whiz!” A silver bullet grazed Rougishu’s face.
“Not bad for a sniper. Any more tricks?” Rougishu dodged the sniper’s bullet as if he had eyes in the back of his head.
“This is impossible, absolutely impossible! How did you do that?” Alex’s eyes bulged in shock. If his earlier surprise was to lower Rougishu’s guard for the sniper, now he truly couldn’t believe his eyes. How could someone sense an attack from a dead angle behind them?
The sniper, Quincy, the crew’s swordsman, was equally skeptical. How could someone defend against a sneak attack while fighting the captain? Moreover, his sniper rifle, acquired from the North Blue, was supposed to be completely silenced.
In a fit of fear, Quincy emptied his rifle in a barrage of bullets.
However, Rougishu effortlessly dodged all the bullets, even glancing at Quincy with his peripheral vision.
It was as if Death had looked into his eyes. Quincy felt his blood freeze, and under the horrified gazes of both pirates and townsfolk, he dropped his rifle and fled.
Alex was almost bursting with rage. His first mate had abandoned him, but the kid was still… wait, was he flying?
“First mate, watch out!”
“Quincy, beware of hidden weapons!”
Hearing the pirates’ shouts, Quincy turned to look, and his pupils contracted violently. It was the deadliest hidden weapon in the world—Alex Missile!
Launched by Rougishu at high speed, Alex’s massive body flew with the force of a solid cannonball, crashing into Quincy and smashing him into a bloody pulp. The sight left everyone swallowing hard in fear.
As Alex got up and saw Quincy’s gruesome remains, he was filled with terror and wanted to flee.
“Kid, you’re tough. I’ll let you off this time!” Alex said, turning to retreat to the coast.
“You killed so many people and think you can leave with a mere threat?” Rougishu’s gentle voice from behind made Alex freeze.
“Kid, don’t push your luck. Your strength is decent, but killing me is still beyond you. I can wear you down all day and night. Let’s see who falls first!” Alex’s anger overcame his fear.
“Eliminate evil completely, a lesson I learned long ago!”
Rougishu charged again, suppressing Alex just like before. But each time Alex fell and got back up, his confidence grew.
“Fool, I told you, you can’t kill me!” Alex snarled, threatening, “Wait till you exhaust yourself. I’ll kill those townsfolk one by one before ending your life!”
Rougishu suddenly stopped, his voice cold, “Haven’t you noticed the change around us?”
For some reason, Alex felt a chill at Rougishu’s voice, as if the gentle boy had transformed into a demon from hell.
Steadying himself, Alex looked around and realised their battle had unknowingly moved to the seaside.
“So, that’s your plan? The sea may be a Devil Fruit user’s bane, but I’m not dumb enough to let you push me into it.” Thinking he saw through Rougishu’s plan, Alex relaxed.
Seeing Rougishu charge silently, Alex protected his eyes, ready to take a beating.
Suddenly, a sharp pain struck. Looking down, Alex was horrified to find a long sword piercing his chest.
“Fool, I meant that here… no one will discover my secret!” Rougishu’s voice whispered in Alex’s ear.
“Why…?” Alex couldn’t understand how Rougishu had a sword or why his bulletproof rhino skin was pierced like paper.
But these questions would never be answered as his body fell, blood soaking into the ground, his soul consumed. The sword gleamed with a sinister red light.
